WoW, thank you very much, you are soooo a great teacher, so good!!! Thanks, so nice, there are persons who love to teach to others to enjoy playing guitar with plays and passion, Thanks!!!! Andrea - Italy
dude has incredible music theory knowledge, THAT's what makes him qualified to teach. He's not trying to make everyone a Bob Marley clone, but teach basic stylings that players can take and make their own. If you watch any of his other lessons, you can see how varied his style is and people like this are a credit to music in general because they donate their time to give free lessons. Sad that you hate based on a closed minded opinion.
Eminor in position one is 022000, just as the position 1 Aminor you wrote is 002210. He uses his pointer finger to bar the fifth fret (the same function a cappo has) while using his next three fingers to create the same pattern as the position 1 Eminor chord, just in a different location on the neck. If he were to bar the first fret, the chord would be Fminor, and if he were to bar the third, the chord would be Gminor, etc. Check out a chord chart of E base bar chords for more info.
that;s what i've been going with as long as you count one before you play the down part.. you can do chuck as an up beat and then play down up-chuck down up-chuck works the same and is easier
thank u so much !!!!!!!!!!!! u helped me get out of a really deep rut. i am playing the same stuff however i am using that accent upstroke to accent my rhythm.
Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster are excellent choices, but a nice clean amp like a Fender amp or a Vox amp are necessary as well. Really any guitar can do reggae with the right clean amp settings
yes your right, remember there are lots of variations of reggae, you can play it in duple time, common time, so there is lots of variations but yes this generally ska.
i think it lends itself better to single coil guitar pickups like he says, maybe you could get a coil tap on your gibson? im sure youd get a great tone through that amp with plenty on treble and reverb and bridge pickup
i thought marley said somewhere in the lines of "it can be copied, but its not copied right. its the feel, music caries a feel. if u explain it to a musician, them know it, but them cannot do it". theres more to music than just copying it. the feeling makes the sound just as much as the instruments. regardless though, this is still a good video! 5/5 gj rockongoodpeople!
well basically there are two main types of guitar pickup there are single coils which, as the name implies are single coiled, giving it a more trebly sound and it gets more hum, like those found on a strat or tele then there are humbucker pickups, like most gibsons, which have two coils to cancel hum and give a fatter sound but there is this thing you can do on some humbucker pickups called coil tap, which splits the coils, so only one picks up sound, effectively making it a single coil!
at the beginning it sounds like a mixed of mario and borat. TY so much i need somethin to keep me skankin very nice man excellent. Anyway i got a weeping demon wawa pedal....all i gotta say is WAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWA star wars style
A blues can become very different. Listen to Charlie Parker or Ray Charles who both implement complex passing chords and alternative turn-arounds to the "standard" I V I ...

standard tuning u just hit the bottom 3 strings. and if u have a les paul flip it to rhythm and it will sound perfect
A blues can become very different. Listen to Charlie Parker or Ray Charles who both implement complex passing chords and alternative turn-arounds to the "standard" I V I ...
i think its like general reggae so ska is included in there and other styles that have reggae roots
