I used to watch Mustang Lifestyle and Stang Mode until I discovered you’re channel. I learned more in the first 2 days of binge watching you’re channel than I did in years of watching the others.
Never really watched stank mode, but mustang lifestyle was the intro for me to mustang channels. Dude at least knows how to drive and let's it rip.

I dont think theyre comparing 03 cobras to the s650. What theyre saying is its a way better car to own, drive and enjoy especially for the money spent. You can tune them too. That alone makes them blow away an overpriced dime a dozen "s650" aka s550. The driving experience is a totally different animal. People who drive new 10r80s and flex that theyre fast would shit the bed trying to drive a big power t56 03 cobra. They can absolutely be made to handle well too if that is your thing. S650 is more refined but it literally costs more money for a base gt than the cobra did in 03 for top of the line mustang and im factoring in inflation. I dont own a cobra i have an 07 gt500 with a gen3r but i feel the same about it. Way more cool and unique compared to a dime a dozen "s650" aka s550 2.0 with a locked ecu. Dont hold your breath waiting for tuning access.
im 48 have had well over 50 new cars all brands and owned Many mustangs 94 03mach 1 04 cobra 07 shelby 12gt and 18 gt pp A10 ....and many camaros 93/94/99/141Le/16 2ss a8 /21m6 /23 Lt1 a10 .. new camaro chassis is very good ..same as CT4 V Black wing ...please drive 1 your a non bias guy i know you will call it what it is ..I would love to hear your opinion ..i have built and owned many fast street cars i always set my cars up to do everything well i like drag racing but also want a good handling and braking car too .I like cars that can run high 9s low 10s and be able to go around lime rock also ..alex keep up the brutal honest car talk you are one of the few that truely loves all cars .really enjoy your show

Cobras may be a POS compared to the new coyote stuff but I love mine and will never get rid of it. would sell my boosted gen 3 before I sell my 03 cobra
Between the 5.8 trinity motor and the cobra motor they are the best sounding Ford v8s.
I always laugh the cobra rants. Kills me everytime 😂 I want one simply for nostalgia not because it's better than anything post 2011.

All the videos I have seen on RUclips. Nobody has really said that it was way better than the S550. The Dark Horse review never said it was far superior to the Mach 1. But they have certainly increased in price.

I got a brand new precision turbo in a box that I haven’t put back on yet because the first one blew up so quick. I put my older vs turbo back on that was on for over a year and it’s working great.

Used to own 19 Camaro ss can confirm handles in corners worlds better than s550.

Make it make sense. 2015 introduced the S550, a DRASTIC departure from the S197 - new engine, IRS, completely redone body shape and chassis, etc. Fast forward to 2018, the S550 gets a mid-cycle refresh with the Gen 3 engine, 10r80 option, option digital dash, and new bumper and taillights, etc. If that wasn't a whole new generation (which was arguably a big leap in mechanical changes due to the 10-speed and DI integration), then what the fuck makes the "S650" a whole new generation?
The "Gen 4" coyote has no groundbreaking changes from Gen 3 besides dual anti-defeat device intake/throttle bodies. Instead of 401A being the only way to get a digital dash, now you get two Walmart 8.8" tablets. New bumpers do not change the fact that the bones of the car are the exact same.
Ford played itself to the drifters, Gen Z'rs, and POOR people that cannot afford a $60k GT Performance Pack, much less a $90k Dark Horse. 2015-2017 mustangs will go down in history as the greatest coyote generation, with the GT350, specifically the 18-20 variants, being the best S550 of all time.
It's a locked ecu, uglier s550 that costs more money. Guess what people will still run out and buy them which is why Ford does this shit. They know they can.

Almost correct....the best S550 is the GT500. It's does everything stellarly. The 2nd best S550 belongs to the 19'-20' GT350R and +21'Mach 1 HP...pick your flavor.

Prior to the rendering of it I was super stoked about seeing what the next 650 was going to look like and be however once photo started coming out in reading into it I think I'll pass. It might be a car for the Gen zers however they don't have the money yet to buy a car like that.

Wasn't a movie that got me into cars. All it took was a test drive with my dad in 1994. He test drove a 1989 Gt that appeared stock. The rest is history. Been into cars ever since.
Alex, have you driven a gen 5 Viper yet? You talk about them all the time and I totally get it. I have had 6 mustangs all built from long rod high compression 306 road race fox, TT Terminator, etc. . I also owned a 17' Gen 5 Viper Gtc ....for 48 hours. I'm 6'1 and the windshield came up to my eyebrows lol. I drove the shit out of it for 48 hours doing my best to love it and I hated the lack of visibility and lack of power (stock), no bs stock it did zero for me in the power department. Got rid of it 72 hours after owning it I disliked driving it that much. All I wanted to do is look at it lol.This is coming form someone who road races cars and bikes .Yet I still lust after it lol.

The TH comment on the steering feel and response on the 2024 Mustang....is the IDENTICAL problem I have with the 2018+ F-150. It's awful and makes it feel like the front end is worn out. Silverado and Ram feel like BMWs in comparison.
I don't see myself in a 2024 mustang. I can't get past the tablet screens. Not a fan. I like my gen 1 just fine. Performs well and so reliable.

😂 No Alex .. the GT350 is not "way better" than a Mach 1. At least GT350R vs. Mach 1 HP...they're almost equal...the M1 HP is actually more capable. If you want a rarer engine, get the GT350.
The Mach 1 shits on the GT350 on track easily, the engine in the GT350R is what's special about it and the overall build, but it does not beat any modern Mustang made after it that is built for track.

Alex I’ve heard you more than once in the past praise the S550 for how nice of a car it is to drive. It wasn’t broken so Ford didn’t really need to fix it.
Remember the Mustang has to be a daily for a lot of people while also retaining some sporty characteristics. I’ll need to see a S650 in person to determine if I really like it but so far it’s growing on me after watching the reviews.
As far as steering feel, I sling my 17 GT through the North GA mountains very hard and it has never disappointed. I actually have more confidence in it than my C7.
This is not a new mustang being sold as a new mustang.

@@YDBT4LIFE I won’t get rid of my Gen 2 for it lol but a lot of people will like the infotainment iPad upgrade. I think enough changed to call it new regarding interior and exterior styling. The running gear was fine IMO.
I’m just glad they are still selling a manual V8. I’m sure they will gain some new Mustang customers with Camaro going away and Challenger going electric.
@@YDBT4LIFEthe front is different, the rear is different and the interior is different. The power trains have been reworked and made more reliable and durable even if net power hasn’t really increased in real world driving, but I guess that’s not different enough?

@@YDBT4LIFEi feel like the the 18-23 mustang had a very similar run to 87-93 mustangs. The sn95 was still on the fox chassis so i guess it makes sense for the s650 to be on the s550 chassis. Should i be ready for v8s to make 200hp again in the near future🤣🤦♂️

03/04 Cobras are the most overrated piece of shit ever made.. I still regret buying one glad I was able to get my money back out of it. Dude that Carol Shelby and JJ the boss stuff had me in tears holy shit😂.

Why was it a piece of shit? Because it has a factory forged motor with manly h beam rods and the first stout t56 trans offered in a factory mustang that wasn't a cobra r (not talking about saleens they're a tuner car built after it leaves the factory by a 3rd party). I mean you may have got ahold of a lemon that wasn't taken care of properly but don't assume cobras are pieces of shit because you had a bad experience. A car that can make a reliable 800-1000 rwhp with a stock bottom end with a blower from 2003 is anything but overrated especially when it could be had for 34k brand new in 2003 which is about like 50k now. Far from overrated.
@@midnight347 Have you ever owned/driven one? It’s basically a glorified GT to get them to hold any sort of power you have to swap the trans/rear.. The interior is straight garbage theres nothing special about it at all I thought they were cool to until I owned one. Sold it to some guy from Germany who shipped it over there and probably jerks off to it every day.
