Thank you for sharing! Beautiful job! I just put in Marley twists over my locs a few weeks ago coincidentally, I’m about 18 months into my journey. Shows the versatility of our hair. I definitely think there is this expectation of COMMITMENT with locs, even from loc’d people. I believe some of this is tied to how certain locs like freeform and super thick low number may be more difficult to do other styles with, some tied to religious reasons, some tied to little representation of of the full versatility of locs due to people simply not wanting to switch up or just riding the low maintenance route, some tied to fear of breakage, and a lot tied to people just perceiving the style as permanent. Funny how we can self-stereotype when it comes to our hair.
I love how easy the take down will be because you have locs! You got your silky flowy hair rn and when you take it out you'll have a BOMB braid out! I wouldn't do this because I'm boring and afraid of trying new things, but if I did??🥵 It looks so nice! I thought it was going to look bulky but it looks so so good! Would never guess you even had locs!
Thanks for this video. I been missing my curly hairstyles and my scalp hates all wigs. I am going to do this tomorrow because I been trying to not comb these locs out. Lol
Absolutely love your video! I am thinking about trying a protective style over my locs for the first time in 5 years 🥴 I'm nervous but I love this style and look! I can definitely see myself getting those type of questions from my coworkers considering most of them are white and are uneducated on black hair cultures! Thank you for this informative video.
Ugh it looks soooo good!! I wanna fly out to St. Louis just for this style. No one is willing to try styles over my locs so this gives me some hope. Thanks for sharing, great video 😃
I loved this video so much. Girl it looks great, locs or weave, you still killin shit 💁🏽♀️👑✨ because black women are MAGIC! And it’s hairrrr! 😂 Your vibe in this video was so needed for me. Lol why is it that women with locs can’t switch it up (just as we would if we were loose naturals) without getting the “oh so you done with the all natural thing..?” kinda of comments ? Baby I’m gone do what I want with my hair regardless 💕 I’ve been loc’d for 16 months and have been debating whether or not I wanna try crochet styles in the future. You’ve definitely given me some motivation to just do it! P.s. I almost left without subscribing 🤯. I’m back though and I hit that button boo, I’m here for it 🙌🏽
love your hair! i have kocs and its so crazy people ask me the same thing when i switch up occasionally and they never asked me this before. There must ve a bias but oh week my hair, may rules. #Blackgirlmagic ❤️
