    According to the ziplevel manual, the unit is suppose to be laid flat and not standing for accurate readings. It also comes with stakes to secure the unit from moving.

    It's Not a Lazer!! ZIPLEVEL is a precision pressurized hydrostatic altimeter that levels and reads elevations by measuring the pressure developed by gravity acting on the net height of liquid between the MM and the BU.

    Do you have to incorporate the 11 1/2 inch run into you calculations when figuring out how many steps you need?
    66/7 = 9.4
    So that means nine steps would get you to your base grade and then you level the rest out?

    I am having difficulties to use that in big places, such as taking elevations in 20 acres property. Can you explain clearly, how to use the carry function?

    Not cheap though, I looked at one a few years back and it was around $700.00

    Why divide by 7"?

      so we can figure out how many steps we need. each step is 7in. we were just showing one of the many uses of the zip level
