Well, iirc you get that effect if you use the Pyrovision goggles, the rainblower (flamethower), the lollichop (axe/hammer), or any of the pyroland cosmetics.
If you play as the Pyro, you see the regular world and fire, but if he equips a "Pyroland" pair of googles (Which anyone can wear and see what the pyro see's) The tuba flamethrower (Which shoots actual rainbows and sparkles) Or the lollipop axe, the pyro will see everything all pink, sparkily and everyone has higher voices XD
And also when he injures or kills people, they laugh instead of cry out in sheer horror and agony, and then they explode into confetti and balloons. XD
Not necessarily, it would be much more benifficial to eliminate the soldier or demo or heavy that the medic is pocketing, to get rid of the risk of being attacked, because a lone medic can't really do much.
i'm not that good at the game but some people are beats with the medic. in most cases chances are that the guy playing the medic is probably better at the game than the guys he's healing.
I've been playing for only a month and i can tell you this: Medics and Heavy paired together is raising hell on the enemy team especially when you time the uber with the heavy to take out the sentries and if using quick-fix, you can instantly kill a whole cluster of enemies with all the crits. But it really depends on how good the Medic is in keeping Heavy alive and how Heavy could make the best oppurtunity to strike when ubered.
Officially, the Medic was once trained in a time and place where the Hippocratic Oath had been downgraded to an optional Hippocratic Suggestion (that is, Nazi Germany). However, the Medic has been stated to have never been a Nazi himself.
Each class has a primary, secondary and melee weapon. The Medic's got a syringe gun as a primary, which fires quickly, but does low damage. His secondary is the Medigun, a heal beam. And the melee is a bone-saw. As for the Pyro, there are unlockable weapons like the Rainblower and Lollichop. When equipped, it changes the main gameplay screen to "Pyroland". There's also an all-class cosmetic item called the "Pyrovision Goggles" which, when equipped, give the same visuals. The Rainblower and Lollichop are also only visible by those in Pyroland. To everyone else, they appear as the stock flamethrower and fire-axe respectively.
He syringe gun can actually do upwards of 100 dps, but every other gun can out damage it. Its a great way to keep light class users who cant aim from chasing your though
There's three more TF2 shorts. Mann vs. Machine (3 minutes) Mann vs. Machine - The Sound of Medicine (1 minutes 45 seconds) Expiration Date (15 minutes) Edit: Also adding Bendkabruh's suggestion for: End of the Line (15 minutes)
It'sMisc also "End of the line" but that was more of a community created thing with support from valve, still amazing animation though, and heavy doesn't get his ass kicked, so i think curtis will like that
In case you didn;t get it. In these videos for the characters, the main ones are in the red teams and the one that are getting killed are the ones in the blue team. So the heavy that you watched in the video is not the same heavy as the one that pyro and the others kill.
what you need to understand about the Meet the Pyro video is that it was years after the game launched that they finally released it. for whatever reason out of all the nine classes he was the one that never had a meet the team video it was delayed and then delayed and then delayed again the game was originally launched 2007 but the Meet the Pyro video I don't think was released until 2012... a similar thing happened with meet the medic that video to was in development hell due to changes in the content of it. Originally it was going to be another interview Style as he explains the origin of his Uber charge and healing guns but they decided to scrap that and replace it with the version we got because ultimately it wasn't about the medic it was about his equipment and so they rewrote it to better fit the character. I don't know what took pyro so long but it was way way longer than this so it's just such a powerful thing to watch and all the more satisfying once you realize the fact that they made you savor it.
If you get pyrovision goggles you can see the world like a pyro. Just dominate a player who has them to get them. They work on everyone too, so you can be a pyrovision heavy.
Also in the game Pyro sees normally (and the comic leave a lot evidence to suggest Pyro is well aware of what fire is and what he does, best example is when he envisions a bear as smokey telling him fire is bad, leading to Pyro to get angry and hack it to pieces) There is an item called the PyroVision goggles that changes the game to that sunshine land dealie
Even in the book (made by Valve) the engie tells about the pyro and in that he knows what guns and fire are instead of gumdrops and lolipops SO TAKE THAT PHANTOM WOLF
There are goggles and a weapon for the pyro in the game that change the visuals to the candy land or whatever, idk if it is every map but it is amazing.
you should watch the amazing version of everything that piemation made, like meet the amazing spy and stuff but you need to watch it in order or else some wont make sense and i know they are ok with reaction videos there are plenty of them from other youtubers and the order is spy scout heavy sniper medic engineer demo soldier pyro then a new to you charecter marasmus but marasmus is just a secondary to pyro but its awsome!
:O whoa this video is from TODAY? Great to see these shorts haven't been forgotten! Hey don't forget to watch Expiration Date! That's the most high production value one they made (I'm pretty sure).
the heavy has the highest health out of all the characters, the slowest movement, and is big enough to hide behind. All this together makes the heavy the perfect human shield.
Curtis, in TF2 if you use certain weapons or cosmetics the game takes on the appearance of "Pyroland," where flames are made into bubbles, explosions confetti, people dying appear as them just falling over laughing, all their voices are increased in pitch, and the scenery on some maps is altered.
Fun fact on meet the medic. After it was released a d100 roll was placed on scout whenever he gets blown to bits. If it rolls 100 a dove flies out of his corpse.
Oh yeah man, Pyro is insane. There is an item that lets you see through the pyro's eyes and what was shown in the video was not too far off(except he still sees the enemies as enemies)
There is an item that allows any class to sort of see what Pyro sees (no one looks like babies, of course, that would kill gameplay) called Pyrovision Goggles, and the Pyro himself can activate this without the goggles by equipping the Rainblower (a reskin of his default flamethrower) or Lollichop (a reskin of his default axe) items. All of these need to be bought, unlocked, or random dropped, though, just a heads up. Medic is purely a support character, and while he can defend himself if needed, using a syringe gun for long range and a bonesaw for melee, pretty much any class can kick his ass in direct combat pretty easily. Medics rely on their patients for protection. They pair very well with Heavies, hence the canon friendship between the characters, but they work well in tandem with anyone except maybe Spies, Snipers, and Engineers. Pyro's flamethrowers are short range, but pack deadly damage output, the ability to set enemies on fire and make them take damage over time, and are very hard to escape if ambushed. Pyro also carries either a shotgun for medium range or one of his unlockable long range flare guns for long range ignition.
That happends, the pyro-vision glasses makes you see all in color pink, when you dominate a player it says "this one is BEST FRIENDS with this one" and the fire is that you see in the video
If u are interested, there are many more good tf2 animations, for example the MvM Trailer or Expiration Date. And if you haven't met them enough there is the "Meet the Amazing ... " by Piemation (who does excellent Overwatch animations too) Greetings from Germany
Spaz, it's called Pyro Land. all he sees is sunshine and Rainbows. Also, the medic was using a good Beam Healer called the Quick Fix. Those two are my favorite Classes. Being a medic is very rewarding to me. And the thing at the end is Ubercharge, once you heal enough people, you can activate it, and the person healed will be Ubercharged, or not be wiped out by anything. It makes sense, ubercharging a heavy, cause he;s a tank.
If you're looking for the how & why that Medic has a severed, living head of Spy in his fridge, you should also see the "first draft" that Valve worked on before developing the Meet the Medic vid we see here. Somewhat. U need Pyro goggles. Unfortunately no babies, but everything cosmetic wise and dominating/dominated and Nemesis will be changes into ‘BEST FRIENDS’
Fun fact: From the tf2 comics, pyro does know he's lighting things on fire, she just has the pyrovision for less gruesomeness and because he's pretty innocent. Like in the mann co goodbye comics(it's Been five years valve finish the damn comics) pyro shows that he does strategize plans towards the enemy by doing stuff like throwing gasoline when they're not paying attention
There is a cosmetic in game called the "pyrovision goggles" that lets you see through the pyro's eyes as any class. Unfortunately without it, you cannot see pyroland even with pyro. :(
You don’t see that when playing as Pyro, but Pyro always sees it. In the game it’s normal unless you equip the Pyrovision goggles (for consistency’s sake), but in the canon, he is a schizophrenic who only sees the Sugar Rush-esque wonderland depicted in the short.

The Rainblower, the Lollichop, and the Pyrovision Goggles will give you Pyrovision. The Goggles can be equiped by any class.
Wut

And when you dominate someone (kill them 3 times in a row) , it shows a massage that you guys are now best friends.
In TF2, the Medic is the true team captain. If you take one out, you're instantly a hero.

There is no tf2 player in existence the doesn't like/hates the medic.

no but on the game there is an item called the pyro vision goggles you can unlock which makes you see cup cakes and rainbows
There's a weapon in the game that let's you see what pyro does in this trailer, but it looks like a normal flamethrower to everyone else.
