Hope y’all enjoyed the reaction! I’m still kicking myself for messing up that convo between Frieren and Kraft, she was so obviously talking about Heiter buuuut my brain went straight to Himmel haha, also I filmed this almost 3 weeks ago so if I’m still struggling with pronunciation that’s why lol
Actually I also thought she was speaking of Himmel but you reminded me it was actually Heiter! I love the food in this world especially the jumbo berry special 😊
Kraft is much older than Frieren, so he's implying that he was a hero like Himmel and her at some point but it happened so long ago that not only all the people who knew him and what he did have died but history has even forgotten about him and his deeds. Interestingly enough, when Frieren told him they were on their way to Aureole he complimented them for being pious and going to heaven, so it seems Flamme's notes were telling the truth and Kraft himself has also been there. As for his personality, my take is that he already went through what Frieren is going through back when he was younger and he overcame it by learning how to live in the moment and make peace with loss while still valuing his memories and the time he spends with the shorter-lived people he meets, and by becoming religious. He told Frieren that she had good friends and urged her to cherish them, and he was shown to be kind to Fern and Stark, to the point that he learned stuff about them and even trained Stark and made a pendant for Fern, and he clearly had a positive impact on both of them given how excited they are when they said their farewells. But at the same time he had no qualms about saying goodbye to Frieren by basically saying, "See you in a few hundred years after your kids and several generations of their descendants are long dead." He's an interesting guy, for sure.
For sure, he’s definitely the most mature elf in the series (personality wise). I’m still not sure about age though, he definitely looks older than our other two, but hey idk
One important take away from the flashback with Heiter is he asked Frieren about the basics of training a young mage. This is likely part of why Fern was so advanced when Frieren met her - Heiter actually listened, remebered, and applied Frieren's teachings from this conversation.
spoiler serie said that only demon king and lernen able to see frieren suppresion...nah, himmel and heiter can see ittt tooo XD....damn... if only serie meet himmel and the gang
@@nelg1994 No, Himmel didn't "see" it. It was intuition or "just a feeling". Heiter did see it. Her mana (surpressed) is 1/5 of his and 1/10 of her true power. Meaning he's half as strong as Frieren and thus equal to Aura in power. Heiter is actually awesome.
@@dyslexicLLM yes, himmel cant see the mana because dude is a swordsman , but nevertheless his intuition is broken that he can actually feel how strong frieren , hiding mana is useless infront of himmel .
This episode is such a nice recovery episode after that last arc. Nice reminder that while Frieren could just kick butt, take names, rip and tear all day, that isn't what she's about. She's about sleeping in. I really like Kraft.
The first thing I though was, it is possible that the released souls (as example the son from the count Granat) probably can thank Frieren when she arrived aureole
I'm not 100% certain on this but I think the cabin they all survived the winter at was briefly seen during Frieren's 50 year montage way back in episode one.
The closest approximation for "Äu" for English speakers would be "oy/oi". The "ß" character is called an eszett, and represents an "ss" or "sz" sound. So, Äußerst (meaning "extremely" or "supremely") would be pronounced something like, "oy-zerst" or "oi-serst".
Äußerst - Extremely/ exceedingly (ß is an Eszett (s-set) sometimes written as ss, sounds like ss) Kraft - Power. Apparently with lots of very good connections.
Reminder about storieswithstyle and their lovely German name analysis through episode 16. I would love to hear your thoughts about this, and I would even watch a full reaction video, although I understand that it being 3hrs long that probably isn't practical. (Also Storieswithstyle has said they are going to do a second video like this after episode 28)
Neither Fern nor Stark is particularly emotionally aware. They were both raised by hermits, and while Stark is likely perfectly normal, for a warrior, poor Fern got picked up by one of the most socially inept people imaginable. Watching them grow is one of the many truly great things of Frieren(the anime), and possibly a great memory engine for Frieren, the mage.
Yessss I’m loving watching their relationship develop the way it is, I think it’s perfect especially considering their backgrounds and how they were raised! And yeah Fern being with Frieren most of her life would be make it more difficult about learning express emotions for sure 😆
I'm fairly confident that Flamme's barrier anchors to a tree, from when we have seen her cast it and this reference to tree pruning shortly after talkong about the barrier.
5:09 what she means and what that little flashback to Aura was about is in the previous episode, when Aura brings up how Frieren used to cast flashier spells and Frieren mentions to her that Himmel scolded her, Aura responds with “why’s that matter, he’s long gone” whereas both Stark and Fern approve of Himmels response to Frieren
Please respect Kraft's lack of desire for romantic entanglements! Don't make him go on a ten year journey like Himmel did Frieren. (Although Kraft seems more disinterested than oblivious). 😜

Hey no worries at all about the slip up! It happens, especially when you have two heartwarming characters, both with H names. 😆
@@Ichigoku15you’re so right aha! I was worried about it though but thank you!
Himmel is also literally named heaven. It's an understandable mistake. 😊

It’s no fluke they introduced Kraft to us. I hope to see him again soon! So mysterious.

your strength of will in not binging this show is praiseworthy in itself!
It's very difficult, if I weren't filming my reactions I probably would've watched every episode a few times now haha

Ahhh I’ll have to go back and see! That makes sense though
Welp off to look at the manga panels.
In the manga the 50 year montage doesn't include this cabin. It does include Frieren walking in a snowstorm tho.
You're not dumb, you're just a shipper
Trrrrruuuuuuuuue 😆
Imagine if Frieren's village didn't got wipeout she's just a little child to her parents.
I really think that tree swing was built for her.

The ďub is brilliant ! Feels a little different. Once this season ends this week, going to watch the whole thing again in Dub
I plan to do something similar, and watch the dub whenever I get the DVD release. Saving it as a little bit extra motivation to get the hardcopy 😊
