1994 was a great year for movies, cartoons, and video games! Awesome that Pixar worked on that commercial for Listerine! Seeing that Wendy's ad makes me want to go get a spicy chicken sandwich!
As a graphic designer, one thing I noticed about these commercials that I didn't back in 1994 is how many different font styles they used in one advertisement. In those days it was quite common to use various fonts like that. A prime example is 9:13 ...it's a big no no to do that these days.
My favorite commercial from this block Has to be the Kodak funsaver. I have searched all over for decades for that commercial. Thanks for this memorable commercial block.
That Speed commercial...Hollywood often creates different ad campaigns aimed at different demographics for the same movie. That one was obviously targeting women. Another good example would be 1999's American Beauty, which had multiple ad campaigns aimed at adults (billing it as a dysfunctional family comedy-drama), and teens (as a coming of age love story, focused on the teenage characters).
yusakug Castaway was another one. Some commercials focuses on his struggles getting off the island, others focused on his relationship with Helen Hunt’s character.
My first time commenting on a ‘90s set! 0:00 Gouda’s been used too, you know. 0:30 I think this was the reason why there was a “Tarzan Boy” revival. 3:05 Never saw this, but I did hear that this was the best of the baseball movies from that year. 5:45 I at least remember Siskel and Ebert’s review of this movie. They were laughing at the concept of Lloyd Bridges allowing criminals to cover him with detonating wires while he just stands there. 8:18 Well, it says “Now Playing”. Maybe at the time they thought the female demographic was low and they wanted to remarket it. 10:13 Vendela 😍 13:19 I KNOW I’ve heard this song somewhere on the classic rock stations, but I can’t remember it... Canned Heat, maybe? 14:42 Yes
Woodstock 94-cash grab for those who werent born before the original Disney Movie News-The Lion King remake was so-so Murphy Brown-too bad the recent revival only lasted a season Blown Away-not to be confused with the movie featuring the Two Coreys and Nicole Eggert which came out the year before Speed-Stay on or get off..?? OFF!!! SAAB-thats one way of getting a car to start Dave's World-R.I.P Harry Anderson :( CBS Evening News-where were you during the Trial Of The Century
At least Woodstock 94 was decent. They tried another in 1999, but the concertgoers were so awful in '99 that they haven't had another Woodstock since. It would have been great to have one for the 50th anniversary last summer, especially for people to have memories of before being locked in their homes, but it wasn't meant to be sadly.
Wow.......how Jimmy Woods has grown. I remember watching Little Big Leaguer in theaters thinking just that.......haha. Thanks for the little big leaguer movie trailer in this 90's commercial set
I live near King's Island (Cincinnati area) and it was a Paramount amusement park too when I was growing up. I never rode "Days of Thunder," but I freaking loved Top Gun." Now it's called something super generic like "Flight Deck" or something.
Haha even when paramount Canada's Wonderland became just Canada's Wonderland in the Toronto area it was changed to flight deck. Others got lame names too except a couple.
The Italian Job Turbo Coaster at Kings Dominion got renamed to Back Lot Stunt Coaster, which is kind of lame now What was funny was The Hurler didn't have its name changed, but they removed all the Wayne's World references. Now it's been remodeled to be a hybrid wood and steel coaster and named Twisted Timbers with a tornado aftermath theme.
20. There's parts in the movie. That you go..man it's bs! 27. Umm..because you are and you still are. Till this day lady! 35. Jack Nichcolson gives his "finest" performance on Wolf? What about The Shining?

90s were the last good years. I'm close to having all the bugs out of my time machine.
The Clearly Canadian ad makes me so happy that you can once again get this drink in stores.
I loved the classic Like A Rock Chevy commercials.

I like all the multi fonts. It makes it more interesting. Commercials today are generic, boring and lack passion.

Mine has to be that Picket Fences episode where Jill was accused of performing a surgery without permission.

Never realized Listerine used Tarzan Boy.

The summer of 94 was awesome check out that Woodstock lineup!

I wonder where those people are now; The ones being interviewed in the news stories.

The movie's title is "Little Big League"
My bad i just noticed the "r" I added in league
Any Woodstock after 1969 was/is a corporate cash grab.
I was in k school when the lion king came out loved the soundtrack memories

Same thing with the Top Gun at Great America. It hasn't been the same there since the Paramount affiliation went away.

The Shell commercial scared me.
Does anyone know the song the band was playing in the Letterman bumper? Sounds so familiar.

vicious0111 What about Five Easy Pieces? What about One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest? What about Batman? What about...
7:51 - Dramatic Kathy Baker!!!
That's the face and scene that gave her multiple Emmys.
7:46 Chuck Riley: "Religion and medicine take opposing views. Picket Fences, tomorrow."
Is that Alec Baldwin doing the Chevy commercial voiceover?
Literally 3 DAYS after I was born!
Wow...I’ve never felt such a magical kinship with a video! ❤️
Awesome :) True that
