Love this, but holy cow I hope this makes drummers around the world appreciate just what a technical metronome Larry is - he really has written some beautifully thunderous and orchestral parts to all of U2's music. There are very few that can imitate him or even hang with his feel on the more complicated tracks like this one, he's got a style all his own which I've always appreciated. I think each of lads has that same thing going for them - not virtuosos but the most tasteful and creative musicians on the planet. I'll take this kind of ingenuity and originality any day than a flurry of shredded notes or double bass drums. Let's not ever forget these guys are humble enough to play with a cover band - that is just evidence enough that they have never been above their fans.
Those first few chords at 23 seconds and that reaction. That is what music is all about 🙌 I’m Irish. I’m not a huge U2 fan tbh. But thats one of the greatest intros to any song ever recorded played by the guy who wrote it (and the original bass player) in front of some unbelievably appreciative fans - Absolutely EPIC 🙌
I love how you can immediately tell it’s the real Edge and Adam as it’s absolutely note perfect from the first few bars when they come it. Try as he might the drummer just exposes how good Larry is too by his absence.
+Kōji Kabuto - Yes! U2 was playing in Madison Square Garden in New York City and on their night off, Adam Clayton and The Edge showed up to play a couple of songs with Unforgettable Fire, which is a U2 tribute band. Possibly a once-in-a-lifetime moment :-)
What is really cool about this besides seeing two members of my favorite band show up is how much fun they seemed to have doing it. It shows you how down to earth and good people they are. I'm so angry because I was invited to go that night and decided not to. I would have seen the Edge and Adam that night, two members of my favorite band. Yes I've seen them live 21 times but to see them in a setting like that would have been incredible.

I was right there. One of the greatest nights of my life.
The best part of it all.....is how much fun they are having !
Amazing!!! The Edge playing Streets right in front of you. Wow. Surreal.
You can easily tell that Edge and Adam were all over this...
Que humildad... Los hace más grandes aún 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🎸🎸🎸

so true! This drummer is in so many levels below Larry's talent.
Oh man, sometimes words aren't enough
Melhor banda de todos os tempos.
You took the words right from my mouth mate.
Love this! You guys are so lucky! But drummer needs to play the actual parts. He is breaking the groove every 10 sec. Sounds bad.
Such good sports 👏
I would have PASSED THE EFF OUT. 🥰☺☺☺
That drummer was way off
U2, as usual.
They just showed up? what is that? a kind of pub? GREAT!

People are losing their shit, (and I can't blame them).

No gods . Only humans here . And I wonder sometimes, gullibility is rampant
