Yea, if you like Soyeon's rapping in the K/DA songs you definitely need to check out her group (g)i-dle. I think you'd enjoy her rapping in their songs "Oh My God" and "Lion" the most, but she has a rap verse in basically every song they do and all the songs are amazing (probably because Soyeon wrote and produced basically all of them).

@@KnoxHill Rioters tend to be fairly accessible. If you shoot Riot Games an email, you could probably talk to their sound guys and get some insight on the stuff. I know that Rioters at Riot Games have done interviews or talked to college kids for their research papers or assignments before. Granted, that's a bit different, but yeah. They try to be accessible to the community when they can.

Soyeon has the first rap verse and outro, Wolftyla has the second verse, Bea has the chorus, Miyeon has the bridges.

Soyeon is their main composer/songwriter, most of their stuff is originally designed beginning to end by her. Most people would recommend anything from their iTrust ep, "Lion/Oh My God" specifically but every song from that album is fire. For my part, I'd recommend "Hann (Alone)." It is incredibly rare for me to like almost anything I listen to the first time I hear it, so when I hear something and like it, I'm usually sold. Hann was that song for me, happened to be the very first Idle song I ever heard and I've been Neverland ever since. In my whole life, Eminem, KoRn, and (G)I-DLE are the only 3 artists I've ever heard I've loved from the very first listen of my first song from them.
Minnie also from Idle, is also a producer/songwriter and she does some of their ballads. You want to hear something truly unique that will chill your soul? Song's name is "Tung Tung."

When it says breaking hearts in two, it's a reference to Evelyn's ability to create a heart above the selected enemy and then break it in half when she attacks them. It's some cool attention to details.

Hello, I assume some people already asked for it, but have a look at "true damage - giants" , it's a different league of legends group and the rapper from g-idle is there too.
As you notice the "aggression yet laidback" when Soyeon raps her part it shows on behide the scene that when Soyeon records it, She's freakin' sitting down with crosslegs!-yep!it screams "confidence!"
Soyeon is truly the current queen of Korean rap! She's also in the True Damage LOL group, I recommend their song Giants
The Rapper is called Soyeon, while the Main Vocalist of (G)I-dle is called Miyeon ( she was supposed to debut with Blackpink ).

If you are looking for some more K-Pop, i can strongly recommend my favorite group Everglow. They "only" have 4 official MV's out right now but every single on is amazing. I'd say if you check them out, start with their debut song "Bon Bon Chocolat".

I've been anticipating your reaction to Soyeon going off on that first verse as Akali for the past week. You should definitely check out her group (G)I-DLE, I might be wrong but I think I remember hearing that their whole thing is being different from "standard" Kpop - I'm quite new to the genre so IDK what that means. Her best rap verses (IMO) are in "Lion", "Oh My God" and "Dumdi Dumdi".
If you do decide to check out (G)I-DLE, I recommend you check out their debut track "Latata". Usually, debut songs aren't that good, but Latata are one of those that are just such a bop.
Fun fact: (G)I-DLE kept getting their debut delayed by Cube Entertainment again and again as they had difficulty finding a song that was fitting for the new group, so Jeon Soyeon (the leader of the group, and the K/DA rapper) sat her ass down and just wrote her own group's debut song. Like I said above, I'm new to the Kpop scene, but apparently its not too common for girl groups to have their members become active writers for their songs. Not only did she write the lead single, she was involved in the production of about half of the songs for her group's debut EP, and has since become even more involved in the creative process - (G)I-DLE's newest EP "I Trust" was written SOLELY by her. Girl's level of talent is insane.

@@KnoxHill Yeah, the main critique directed towards her is how she "isn't beautiful". If you think about it, that says a lot about how talented she is. When the main complaint is about her looks (which is irrelevant to music), they're 100% grasping at straws.

And while all of the songs have Soyeon listed as a writer, 3 of them were also written by 2 other I-DLE members; Yuqi and Minnie (both recently wrote "I'm The Trend" which can only be described as I-DLE's "fan song"). This most likely means that Soyeon wrote her rap parts and left the main body of those specific songs to them.

Btw this song is one of the songs they wrote for the game, League of Legends I believe and all their songs are all for the game~ and the rapper's name is Soyeon~ She's pretty much (G)I-DLE's songwriter and lyricist. The ONLY COMPLAINT: SHORT AF.
Their production is best production I have heard in my entire life in any song in general. So much going on, but it's mixed super well and a total eargasm.
The little sample after the song is over is played during the last rap verse.

In 2019, Riot made another virtual group, True Damage, and theyre song Giants also with live performance at Paris before worlds finals. make sure you check this dude. Supposedly the Producer of the K/DA stuff builds and customizes the sounds on the synths personally in order to get exactly what he wants from them. The people in Riot's Music/Sound department take their shit seriously. And diverse. They've done symphonic movie score sounding pieces. Orchestral pieces. K-Pop. J-Pop. Heavy Metal. Instrumental. Stuff that "feels" classical. It's kind of insane when you think about it.
Pentakill, K/DA, and True Damage were all produced and mixed by the same team that did Rise, Phoenix, Ignite (by Zedd), Warriors (Imagine Dragons version and the Movie Soundtrack Cover version), and the Star Guardian songs (though to be fair, one of those was also done by a famous Japanese composer, Hiroyuki Sawano).

You should definitely just look at getting the rest of the songs off the album done overtime as well. Each song has its own vibe for each of the champions. This song was Akali's. Villain is Evelyn. Drum go dumb is Kai'sa. I'll show you is Ahri.
