bro i saw this shit live and lost my wallet and jonny called me over the PA to get it back. it was unbelievable. one of those things that is hard to believe that i will always cherish as a memory
@@adamrose6969 I mean yeah, I think the poster meant the same lineup that was on DBM1, I could be wrong but I feel like Sean O'Sullivan contributed to DBM1 a lot with the more atmospheric riffs, you can hear that when you listen to the first Consider The Thief EP that there are a lot of riffs that sound like DBM1. Also, while I love Kurt Travis-era DGD, I would've loved to hear what direction the band would've went if they had both Sean and Jonny Craig still in the band.
@@xSebzx I agree. Apart from the Tides Of Man-esque Acceptance Speech, after IG they've fallen in to a groove with Tilian that they rarely venture out of. Mothership through Afterburner sounds like one giant album with the only differences being in the mixing/mastering (even then, slightly). We have yet to see all of what Jackpot Juicer contains, but safe to say it'll be more the same than different. Both of Jonny's albums were extremely dynamic and unpredictable, if a bit chaotic in the case of DBM2.
I've dedicated for almost last 4 years about his technique lmao. It's really complex, His use of support is incredibly efficient. He uses his false cord to make the 'grit', his control is also top notch considering he can go from belting to chest without noticeable transition. Also he's very confident about his voice. So basically, Whenever Jonny belts he uses false cord to shield his vocal folds with enough compression to control the tone and incredible support to belt it out. Also in DBM1 he can switch head voice, to mix, to chest and belting effortlessly!
@@ghastlyshimmer in the crazy thing is that he probably doesn't even really know what he's doing, he just knows what to do because it sounds correct. Guys like him just have a god given talent that they can't put into words
@mrcadej yea i don't think you can say he didn't get better. he just got better in a different way. he's been touring for years non-stop up till before the DBM tour. that takes a toll on your voice, especially since he sings so high in his range...that takes a lot of power, breathing technique, and vocal strength. he has been using that up a lot in years past. he's definitely making a comeback though.
If you got to hear this live...never complain about anything. ever.
100% lol
JC is unreal in this

Dude if they could have kept this line up together for just one more album that would have been sick. I love the first album with Tillian though.
Jonny was there for DBM2

DGD cannot keep lineup together for two albuns, we already know that for long 😊
@@hugorezende199 They did like 5 albums with Tilian.
Great performance
That was Totally Sickly Awesome! No words in my vocabulary can describe it.

Seriously still want to know what his vocal technique is called.

what did someone throw at 4:11 o.O
what if dgd re recorded dbm? it would sound sick since all the members gotbetter at what they do
Imagine what this song would sounds like with Tillian!
The only thing I'd change are Jon Mess's vocals. I hate his parts on DBM.
I love Tillan but he's no JC. IDK his vocal tone lacks the power and gritty undertone Jonny has
No.
@@alexxparette hell no that would be terrible
Love how Will Swann is killing this song. This DGD should have never died. Oh well.
I can sense Jonny is your favourite front guy than Kurt and Tillian.
