This is the greatest cross over in history.
We need more Fitz. buddy is a gem. I love the hockey's terms. Made me feel represented as a Canadian in a meat eater video. Please Cal. Bring Fitz with you everywhere he is awesome
Snort is becoming a star in her own right. Such a cool dog
Two of the most wholesome dudes out there. Warms my heart
Long lost brothers it looks like. Go Fritz, make Michigan proud!
Fritz with the crossovers lately! Gotta love it!
The best series. More Cal, please. Fritz seems like a cool guy.
Well HELLO buddy! I love this guy's shorts, so wholesome and peaceful. Just miss the 2 goodboys
I remember ice fishing on that same lake with my buddy as a little kid back in the 90's. We caught 100 perch in one day. We ate like kings that evening.
2nd time I've heard to Fry the perch Roe... ima hafta Try it!
Need so much more of Cal.. these are so awesome
BRO FRITZ DOING COLLABS LIKE CRAZY THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER
Absolutely love this episode crazy. I was born and raised in Michigan and I now live in Idaho two awesome states.
Been waiting for this collab, my two favorite humans
I see a lot saying the same thing, these Cal in the Field are inspiring, lovely to watch - just a great time, best of the meateater shows
Thanks for the upload. Love from Michigan.
“Not a perch but I’ve seen largemouth bass like that”
From a fellow Michigander I felt that. Awesome collab!
Come to northern lower mi, plenty of 13"+ around here, seen 2 lb 9 oz two weeks ago.,
Cal... I so, so, SOOOO badly hope that perch went on your wall. Your fisheries folks were so well-spoken; so easy to understand... really, truly amazing.
Loved the editing on the intro! Looked like a great time.
I rarely comment on videos, but I am so glad I found this. I saw an ad for Old Time Hawkey’s new cookbook on Facebook, which piqued my interest enough with its lovely cover and description to dig a little deeper. Found you on RUclips. This is the first video I’ve watched. I absolutely love it. The sounds, the scenery, The wonderfulness of it all, your lovely accents, all very foreign to me, a 46-year-old Mum from Queensland Australia. Thank you! I can’t wait to show this to my son. I can’t wait to watch more videos and I can’t wait to get that cookbook! 😊❤
One of the most wholesome episodes. Please do this again soon.
Great collaboration! love meat eater and OLD TIME!!
The 2 greatest mustaches in the game
Thanks for putting the Joe Ciaramelli and Jay Siemens love child image in my head, Cal. I was worried I might sleep tonight.
Was NOT expecting this crossover but i am 100% here for it buddy!!
Great episode! Always fun with Fritz. There ya go buddy
One of the best episodes! Loved the opening and the whole episode was wonderful.
Never thought I'd see the day. Today is, in fact, a great day to have a great day!
Look at the boys playing hockey, puts a smile on my face.
Holy Wah! That perch looked like a peacock bass and a walleye met at a Redwings tailgate party and well, you know eh …..
Yes! Just what we needed! 2 of my favorite dudes!
The colab we didnt know we needed!!! Absolutely shocked too see this, cannot wait to dive right in. Hey there buddy!
Thanks for the videos. You are living the life a lot of us wish we could. God bless.
What an appearance! Love Fritz.
BANNER FRIGGIN' WEEK. Two different energies between Old Time Hawkey and Bussin' but it all fits so perfectly. Would have LOVED to see Bussin', Hawkey, and Werner Herzog on the same show.
A "mustache match" made in heaven!!
Perch, small walleye, same family. That is some fine eatin'. And Snort is a happy dog. Great vid. Thank you.
Fantastic video, one of the best tasting fish on the planet!!👍👍
I remember catching about 150 tiny little perch on that lake one day on the west side about 15 years ago when I was a kid. It was one of my favorite memories growing up.
Wow this is a surprising collab! We need more with Fritz!!
Epic collab. The stache power was overwhelming. Nice pickle rod. My brother bought me the same one. The perch roe doughnut changed my life. Just got back from a lake saint clair, mi. ice fishing evening and tried it tonight. Sad thing is I'm cresting over 40 yrs old and just found out about it from this very episode, although the younger me probably never would have tried it 😂 I could find nothing on a Google search for recipes. Put that in a cookbook! Well done gentlemen. Well done.
I absolutely love this opening
One of the best meateaters in Idaho I've seen! Keep them coming
WHAT A COLLAB!! easily one of the coolest things i’ve ever watched.
8:50 , this is what makes Meateater stuff so special. Great job, I was lucky enough to hit it at a peak cycle, miss it every year.
Awesome video! I’m almost all caught up on the episodes from meat eater. Scrolling the channel videos and watching any of the ones I’ve missed on this wonderful Sunday afternoon!
Great video , best pair of mustaches in the hunting industry.
Nice touch with the custard eggs!
I really enjoyed this. I have fond memories of float tube fishing perch here during the perch spawning season with some friends more than 30 years ago where we would cast flies (I can't remember what kind) towards the bank from a very short distance out in the lake. There were 3-4 of us and we would unhook each other's catch and fill up a cooler in short order. The rule was once you were unhooking if another guy hooked up you had to continue to unhook before returning to casting. There were times when one of us was "stuck" unhooking as we struggled to keep fish off our lines. I have understood that there was a boom and bust cycle in Cascade for perch for quite some time. This episode was very fulfilling to me in that it gave me insight as to the possible causes and how IDFG has sought to manage the fishery. I wonder if water quality issues, in particular, the affect of Deadwood Reservoir and harmful algae blooms, might play a role in the overall quality of the fisheries here. PS. You left us hanging on the story of the tagged fish!! This needs a follow-up.
Great editing on this one, the music even was great.
The colab I never saw coming and so stoked it happened.
Great time of the year for a mustache competition. Sorry, but Hawkeye has this one in the bag. 😂
Great stuff. THIS is conservation and educating others the truth. Love it. Cal is the best
Cal, thanks for all the great content!
Only speaking for myself but this was a great video! I was very close to unsubscribing recently because of how many podcasts etc have been flooding my feed.
I miss videos where cal, janis or steven actually go hunting or fishing.
Loved this video, my 2 cents is to do more of this stuff. 🔥
Great collab with two greats!
I’m so happy you two collaborated
chillest energy of any meateater video to date
Cascade is something special. Kinda wish they’d put limits on em but also trust Idaho game and fish in their decisions
Thanks for sharing! Fishing trips with good friends!
hahah yes! I had no idea this existed. The meeting of two of my favorites.
Thank you guys.
God Bless.
Worth watching for the mustache glory alone, Snort is a close second.
Two of my favorite bros!!
Love this. Makes me so happy
❤congratulations kal😊🤘🏽awesome catch!🐠 🎣 🎉
Ready for 39 hrs with a MeatEater team.
I've never seen two mustaches quite this majestic. And I can't imagine a more Yooper name than Fritz.
Its awesome when perch get that big. I've been panfishing for maybe a year, but to date my biggest fish is a Yellow Perch who was unquestionably bigger than the bass I nailed.
No wayyy. This is the collaboration we needed. I watch this guys tik tok all the time 🙌
Unreal collab.
I love this guy! Fritz!
Great work Cal
