I have been testing this indicator and yes it can work bit it is extremely lagging for stocks, I assume this may work better in your forexrtrades because they move quicker? BOP ,TSV and Money stream seem to be more forward 1hr and 4hr work similar. Can't possibly use it as a standalone indicator.
From what I am seeing looking at EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, and some other pairs it's better not to try and take more than 1.5:1 risk to reward if going against the trend. If the over all trend is up and you short it off those MA's it's better not to try to get 2:1 because I'm seeing a lot of times it reaches 1:1.5 but not 2 going against the major trend even on the 1h chart. If taking a trade with the trend 2:1 is perfect. I did just look only back a few days on each chart but I'm seeing enough to know that if I take a short against a bull market 2:1 is almost never going to hit.
All in all this is a really cool strategy and it's nice and simple. Nothing complicated to it. Just need to pay attention to overall trend and not try too big of a TP going against it regardless of the crossover.
Backtesting with GC on the 1h. No surprise, you are correct. I'm often even using 1:1 if its against the direction of the primary trend. If using it on a funded account or a challenge with no time limit, I may even skip trades against the major trend, or at least drop my risk waaayy down. 0.2% or lower.
is there an alternative for the DPO indicator I can use on Mt5? Cant find the DPO indicator on MT5

Hey, great video. I am just starting out to trade and I would just like to ask. When you mean green candles confluence, do you mean the green candles flip from being upside down to upright for the DPO (or an easier way to interpret, the DPO indicator changes from a negative number to a positive number)? Just trying to understand this part. Thanks for the great free strategy.
Ya the green bars on the DPO are what I'm using
Does the Red DPO line have to be below zero to activate a Sell trade and the Green DPO line must be above the zero line to activate a Buy?

Wow Dean, be careful you are likely risking too much per trade if you are tripling an account that quickly.

300% in a day. Prepare to get rekt, no offense or ill wishes, but most likely it will come to fruition. The universe is a balanced place. Nothing goes unnoticed by the all-seeing eye for long.

Hope you could have more strategies on MT4. Many tradingview indicators not available in MT4 such as in ths case the Untrend DPO.

How do you trade like 7 or 8 Bitcoin? That's like 100k dollars. How much crypto should I trade per trade?
I've been backtesting it on a 5min and 3min timeframe. it seems to work well for those TFs as well. Would you disagree with this? or do you think it's okay to use the same settings of parameter for smaller timeframes too?

yeah try this in ranging market and see how quickly you blow your account. you noobs will never learn
@@pikachusolu1606 you're not supposed to use this method on its own. Combine it with market structure and follow the trend and other confluences. Stay out of the market during consolidation. That's it.

Does it matter which pairs you trade with? Do you focus on just a few pairs and wait for that indicator, or do you search through many pairs to find one where the lines just crossed

Save every strategy as template and just start to backtest and you will found who fit in your style.

Do u have to wait for a candle close after the cross? I’ve taken some trades for a example buys. And the candle reversed. Would it be smarter to wait for a candle close instead of entering right when u see the cross ?

Did you set alerts to notify of when the cross occurred or were you sitting at your pc waiting for the next crosses? I’m just wondering what’s the best way to catch the cross accurately.
Usually I just watch during my session, but alerts work too!

When trading with this strategy what’s the best lot sizes to use coz a lot of this prop firm challenges have a rule of 5% daily drawdown.
Only risk %1 per trade
