- The 2022-23 Nitro Rallycross season kicks off across the pond at the historic Lydden Hill Race Circuit. Travis Pastrana returns to defend his championship, this team in Group E with the debut of the FC1-X. We've modified the track as usual and are bringing Group E, Supercars, NEXT (lites) and Crosscars to the start grid. Cars that fly, tracks that thrill. #GoNitro

Where is the supercar final?
The only reason I watched all of this and I get ripped off. This focus on these electric monstrosities has completely turned me off rally cross.

Would be great to see driver inputs better in some way, can't hear the engine which would tell everyone throttle input. Miss that connection but otherwise when do we get to have one of these as a daily? ;)
An ice track would be a little difficult to maintain in June....
@@muskokamike127 depends where you live… but obviously… make it not in June or host it in Argentina. Snow/ice Rally Cross tracks already exist, just need to make it Nitro! 🤘
Thoughts on Quebec and Calgary?
@@DearHalo_lover both places had unusually warm weather when the race was happening, but Montreal was cold when they were in Calgary and visa versa. Still great tracks to watch - hopefully next year no random warm weather on event days.
Also it was funny watching the tough Tommy character get beaten down by a bunch of Canadian kids with snow balls as he ran away.

Need to get back to the onscreen graphics after the races. Very hard to follow who officially ended up where in the heats.

No supercar final shown, poor camera placement, lack of camera angles and cameras in general has left me wondering why I just wasted 3 hours of my life watching this.
You're blaming camera angles on electric cars? I'm confused it feels like you're just looking for a reason to hate on electrics. Yeah they didn't show the supercar final, but they showed every other final not just the FC1-X's. So no, they weren't just circlejerking on the electrics. It looks like they just made a mistake in editing.

Supercar heat time 3:03 and Group E heat time 3:05? Supercars are faster?
The track conditions keeps changing so it's hard to compare. But i think the overall best lap time was Larson's by a tenth of a second compared to the Supercars.
If you put last years super cars and this year’s electric pos’s on track together the super cars would’ve slaughtered them

I love car sounds, and the fact is, there are a lot of sounds in those electric cars which I think should be captured more with more mics. Of course these sounds are also present in the ICE cars, but they are muffled by the engine. There's the tyre rolling, wind displacement, surfacfes and other sounds which in conjunction with the transmission makes a nice blend of sounds which helps you really connect to the drivers. They are doing a great job here, and there's room for improvement.

yeah I'm not a fan of electric rallycross, that idea sounded stupid even 2 years ago when I first heard of it. The thing I remember most about attending rallycross events is the fire spitting exhaust, the smell of the race gas and rubber, the ear piercing sound and chirp of the turbos. I'm sorry but watching electric racing series is substantially less visceral and entertaining. I'd be all on board for hybrid rx similar to the systems they have in wrc, hybrid systems are the best of both worlds but this is just a dumb gimmick.

Listen, I get electric cars are the future, they're faster, blah blah, etc.. and I'm happy we are moving away from fossil fuels, but I just can't get into any type of E racing.
So how long do they get to change the AA batteries in these things?
It's totally awesome to be able to watch this great event, thanks for streaming/keeping it on youtube. Production needs to step up though, there is so much incredible action but no slomo replays... A little more graphics would do as well, there are so many sensors available nowadays, speed, air just two of them. Presenter team is fantastic, they really sell the action.
Just not interested in supporting electrics, or BRCC. Later, NRX. At least we have last season...

If you wanna see exciting electric car racing I suggest you find your local RC track. It's a lot more fun than this.
If they want to PROVE that electric car racing is better than PROPER racing why not race both head-to-head?
Im here on my 2nd acc to add another comment, this is really the best way to spectate racing, it works so well with electric. I hope you keep making more money because the trickle down is real with you FINE friendlies

It's either this or nothing, or pray that motorsports find a way to have cool cars without depending on manufacturers which all they want is electric cars, and no more petrol. And pointing out that they are slower as some sort of argument is pure nitpicking, since it's **unnoticeable** to the bare eye.

Only exciting thing about electric racing is when they're crashing into each other.
This is terrible with EV's. By far the worst rallycross event I have ever watched. Super cheesy starting lights. Annoying sound. Stupid looking cars. This was as boring as watching R/C.
I race rc dirt oval and this is ten steps below that for spectating

Why keep calling it “Nitro” rally cross, when you take the nitro out of it! This should be called “woke-cross” or “cringe-cross” because it’s so boring and the racing wasn’t even good at all! I hope this racing series stays over seas in woke green land!
