To this day, I still can't figure out why I went with the Saturn instead of the PlayStation, but I'm really glad I did. This console doesn't get enough love...
I never played one as a kid, they were very uncommon where I grew up, but I picked one up shortly after moving to Japan and I've been a Saturn fan ever since.
Good day.i enjoy the Saturn videos.i have started collecting Japanese Sega Saturn games I n the last couple of years and truly enjoy them as long as there not to text heavy as I don't know Japanese I get the just of it and figure it out from there still quite enjoyable.i like the culture difference always good to learn about the culture difference.and what better way than thru gaming .also dig the dreamcast.just a big Sega fan overall
Hey Jim, i have a ODE from Terraonion for the Saturn, it shows covers too, runs trough original hardware and it is awesome. I think this way you can have another Saturn for collecting the cheaper physical games or buy the expensive ones later.
Castlevania Symphony Of The Night one of my favourite ever games played it to death ,not played the Saturn version. I want it physical for PS1 but it costs a fortune lol
I really want to have a collection of Saturn games at some point but I keep holding out to get a Satiator or something of that nature before delving into spending money on physical copies.
@@MadPanicGaming Thanks for the update. Wishful thinking but i'd love to see a dedicated Metal Gear pop up in the container. Just everything from its inception to even *shrugs* Metal Gear Survive. On a related note, I'm surprised when the up up down down pop up was out that there was no Metal Gear MK2 from Snatcher. Not even a plushie. I find it odd that there has never been a model kit or toy or funko or just anything based on Snatcher's Metal Gear MK2 even during the Kojima days of Konami.
Hi Jim, thanks again for the great content! Would be great if you could review the Kojima titles on the Saturn as well: Snatcher & Policenauts. And now we're talking about expensive collectors items.. Crows The Battle Action, is one of those as well. Would be curious what you think about this Beat em Up!
I've never played a Saturn game in my entire life, but I feel like I need to. Growing up I just never knew anyone who owned one, and I hadn't heard of it. Course I was 4 when it came out haha.
I also never knew anyone who owned a Saturn growing up, didn't even play a Saturn until I moved to Japan, but after that I was hooked. I'm a big fan of shoot em ups, 2-D fighters, and arcade ports, and the Saturn is loaded with them.
@@MadPanicGaming Perhaps I was too consumed by the PlayStation to even notice the Saturn when it was out! The games you’re showcasing and other channels like GameSack, really make me want to get into it.
Hey cool games...out of these ones i own SONIC R (pretty cool but short game...very hard to play..loose controls, etc..), the Ps1 versions of Castlevania SOTN and Wolf Fang 2001, and Warriors of Fate on the Switch (Capcom Belt Collection and Capcom Arcade Stadium 1st)...i d like to buy Super Tempo but it goes for about $400-500 or more nowadays! I think i will stick with the 32x prequel and, maybe the Game Gear one, someday
Awesome selection. Glad to say i've got a few of those in my colleciton. Paid about GB£100 for Sengoku Blade a couple of years ago. Came with a boxed Enterbrain Koyori statue. Can't wait to get some display cabinets. A big thanks to the scammer that hacked someone's Ebay account, took my money and didn't send me Super Tempo. I learned my lesson and bought a Satiator for the expensive stuff. Still buy physical where i can and can't wait to visit Japan to do some serious shopping.
Super tempo was on my list but I took it off as I've never heard anyone endorse it so highly. I'll look for it when I'm in Japan but I believe its like 700 dollars now.
first off digging the DARIUS JAWS shirt I wanna cop me one! (to go with my HEAVY METAL RAIDEN shirt I imported several months ago!) I did play a little bit of Dracula X on Saturn emulated... it wasn't bad! not as polished as the PSX version, but not bad to the point its unplayable.... I have heard several modders working on translation/QOL patches for DX Saturn which greatly improve the experience, though. I will say the Maria playthrough does have some great remixes of classic CV songs! and I do believe Tench Wo Kurau 2 was on the first capcom arcade stadium, I did play a credit or two of it, it was alright but I think I prefer stuff like Knights of the Round a little bit more. but some stellar picks for sure.
The only one in this video I haven't had access to a physical copy of is Tempo. It apparently didn't get many copies made, so the only way I've been able to play it is via emulation. The most I've spent on a Saturn game was Stellar Assault. I paid about close to 10,000 yen at Super Potato. This was years ago, before all this let's-pay-too-much-for-retro-games-to-look-trendy fad caught on.
Sonic R is so frustrating because it looks and sounds so good but plays like absolute dog 💩 I was so looking forward to it when it came out at the time All the others are awesome games, I thought Tempo was a 32X exclusive, will be looking out for that now 👍✌️
Just bought my first Saturn console ever... so this video came right on time. Thanks Jim!
Nice! You're going to have a lot fun then, the Saturn library is filled with awesome games.
_Welcome to the Sega Saturn Club!_
I still remember receiving a Saturn as a Christmas present in 1996, I was blown away when I loaded up VF2 for the first time!
To this day, I still can't figure out why I went with the Saturn instead of the PlayStation, but I'm really glad I did.

The shmup selection on Saturn is second to none!
Indeed
シューティングやアクションゲームは言葉の壁を超えて楽しめるので良いですね👍✨
That's a cool tee you got man! Thank you for the good work Jim!

Saturn and Dreamcast, a perfect combo
Super Tempo was really masterpiece!
Yeah, it's a beautiful game. There are better playing platformers out there, but you can't argue with how good Tempo looks.
I would like to try Hyper Duel on the Saturn . But the cost of a physical copy is bonkers .
Yeah, it's a great game but holy hell is it expensive.
I remember buying the Saturn just to play King of fighters 95. Good memories 😊😊😊
Nice!
First two games are the ones I want the most. Jim out here flexing on me.
Love seeing and learning about these Japanese Saturn games.
Some great games here Jim. I played Wolf Fang with my 5 yr old nephew, he loved it, it's great fun.
Indeed, it's a very fun, pick up and play game.
Jim is having fun as usual. 8^)
Anthony...

Sonic R was a technical marvel back in the day. With the fade in effect, it surpassed a lot of 3D attempts of the PS and N64.
Castlevania Symphony Of The Night one of my favourite ever games played it to death ,not played the Saturn version.
I want it physical for PS1 but it costs a fortune lol
Cool games
Very cool Sega Saturn games Jim I still have mine 👍🆒
whoa
I really want to have a collection of Saturn games at some point but I keep holding out to get a Satiator or something of that nature before delving into spending money on physical copies.
Know of any upcoming Akihabara Container pop ups & which brand they'll host?
Not at the moment, they take their time in announcing them.

Pretty sure I featured both Snatcher and Policenauts in my Import Game of the Day series, but that was a while ago.
Great selection except for Sonic R. Never did like that game dunno why.
It's a hit or miss game. It's not terrible but you need to develop a taste for it. It Also wasn't the Sonic game people wanted.
Neat just picked up shipping mahou daisakusen and rabbit.
That shirt rocks!
Wolf Fang is on PS1 and cheaper on there. Which is how I got mine

Yeah, Super Tempo is a great game, but the price makes it more of a collector's item.

Have you played Mizubaku Daibouken (Liquid Kids)? That is an excellent title.

Wth Tempo... That game is gorgeous. Is it on any other platforms?
The original Tempo is a 32X game.
Sonic R is so short. I play the ps2 compilation version. Is there only 3 tracks.
Sonic R is so frustrating because it looks and sounds so good but plays like absolute dog 💩
I was so looking forward to it when it came out at the time
All the others are awesome games, I thought Tempo was a 32X exclusive, will be looking out for that now 👍✌️
whats the music from? is it shenmue
Hey do you ever buy games for viewers? If so how much do you charge? Also when would you sell Wolf gang? thanks
Everything goes through my Patreon page. A link is posted in the description.
Shame the psyhiko collections have absolutely terrible emulation/input lag.
Gay Jim kiss DAD for me.
Is this the guy that used to do the CR Undertow game videos or something like that????
Nope, but I get that a lot
