To me, this is the finest performance I've heard of this work. Goode's sense of tempo is without fault. And I never say that unless I really feel that way. The texture of the sound is gorgeous. How Beethoven would've loved it !!
It is the finest performance of this great work I have heard on RUclips too. All tempo and nuances are very good indeed. Second movement was a real Prestissimo, wasn't it... It need not be quite so fast and Barenboim plays it slower, but it does sound exciting at this tempo! 1st and last movements were simply beautiful 🙂👌
