Lady Antebellum - Just A Kiss

Watching Hillary Dawn Scott this morning (9/13/2011) brought back a sweet memory of the brief time my wife and I spent with her grandfather, Willard Scott, in Nashville. Willard was glowing with pride in his son, Lang Scott, and after listening to Lang and his wife, Linda Davis, perform in their home studio for an hour on a tape that Willard gave us, we knew why. LeAnn Rimes had just released an album with Lang's co-composition "Fade To Blue" on it; the album went on to become 6x Platinum. Hillary was 10 or 12 then, travelling with her parents as they performed in Reba McEntire's band until 2000. Her mother won a Grammy for singing "Does He Love You" with Reba. Hillary was part of the family Christmas show at Nashville's Opryland Hotel, and performed on her parents' Christmas album in 2003. Hillary has won many awards on her own, and as one-third of Lady Antebellum has received 6 Grammys, so it appears that the most famous music produced by Willard's son Lang and daughter-in-law Linda, will be through the agency of their beloved daughter. Bask in the glory of grandfatherhood, Willard.
