omg this is the song they were performing when opening for interpol last fall, i kept looking for the song after that concert and couldnt find it i love it!!
Love the lyrics to this song. 14 could be anything. 14 people. 14 occurrences. 14 minutes, hours, days, weeks, years. 14 miles, 14 states away. When did it start to loop? The rumination on an arbitrary number, searching for meaning where none can be found. Feeling the need to purge those thoughts. The story can change depending on interpretation, but the feeling remains the same
Between this and Barley, Rachel is the best music video director working today and a hell of a frontperson to boot. They inspire me every day to wear tiny oval sunglasses and be cool as shit
Wow! It’s very rare to hear something totally original that just feels so perfect. I’ve checked out the back catalog and I love all of it, but this and the other 2 videos from the shortly upcoming new album on Matador are at a new level. Thank you for reinvigorating my love of new music. My love of music started in about 1980 with bands like Joy Division, Wire, Gang of Four, Delta 5, The Sound, Mission of Burma, Raincoats, etc. I haven’t been this excited about new music since then. Wondering if Matador is considering reissuing your previous cassette recordings on vinyl/CD. I hope so-they deserve a wider audience.
Amazing visuals! I always have these visuals in my mind of what the music videos look like before I see them and they’re always off, but this doesn’t disappoint. I kind of imagined some lady in a field of tall grass holding my jaw then I disappear into the air. The whole I’m ready to throw you up part gives me the sad vibes.
@@chocolatefrogs1992 I was talking about the drummer, Maureen Tucker, who sang on I'm Sticking With You. That said, given that Nico was an integral part of their most iconic and popular album (although not their best one in my opinion) it's reasonable for people to sort of casually consider her an honorary member of the band to some degree. And lest we forget that Maureen and Lou weren't even on the last album!
Fue la mejor sorpresa en el concierto de Interpol en el zócalo.
One of the best bands in the world going right now
Hauntingly beautiful
You guys changed and saved my life at the squid concert I can’t thank you enough.

Powerful, moving stuff. This has got under my skin.
Feels cathartic
Very nice track. The singing reminds me of the lady from The Velvet Underground, very pleasant.
Nico was never a part of the band. That’s why the first album was the Velvet Underground and Nico.
