Not your ordinary type of guy that just stands behind the equipment and makes believe he's doing something great. A true innovation and one that thinks outside the box. Zabel is in a class all his own.
I'm a DnB Producer/DJ and this guy is STILL one of the modern era GOATS. So skilled and refined. Only been to one gig with him playing at, back in the day and it was mindblowingly technical
Please do an Art Of DJing with Danny Daze. His Dekmantel Boiler Room basically makes me wanna quite DJing. I remember seeing a post by either James Zabiela or Kink regarding his technical skill. I was not disappointed.
Hi does anybody figure it out of how to kill the all frequencies while on HPEcho as James did. Was trying different settings but there is always something passing thru. Would like to use it as he did. Filter while fully wet and both LFO and delay withinin one knob. Anyone can share it with me? Cheers.
custom user setting in the top right of the device. i dont have one but I'm assuming he just has some kind of filter or extra tune to the frequencies he doesnt want to pass through.
Not really clearly explained to say the least. If you want to do an "Art of Djing" that actually teaches something to people who can't already do it, MIxmag, maybe go beyond 2 minutes and spend a bit longer explaining what knob does what and how....
0:36 so ironic how the video is entitled 'the art of djing' yet the dj doesn't realise he's redlining the track. he's not the only dj guilty of this.. when are professional dj's going to work out that distorting audio on a mixer destroys the track on big speakers? all you have to do is read the manual of any mixer and it CLEARLY warns you never to let the mix go into the red. ever wondered why some long sessions in the club absolutely batter your ears and the music sounds dead and harsh after a few hours? it's not because the music is too loud. it's cause the dj is redlining the audio. if big names like zabiela can't manage it what hope do the rest of the dj's have? FACEPALM.
@@alvinandthechipmunks8261 this mixer has much more headroom than any other mixer. This is why I pointed to this particular model. I will try to find explanation from Pioneer when I have time. Their 0db is like - 18db on others (oversimplification)

Remember I seen him a few years ago. Still hands down one of the best DJs I’ve seen live. Absolute masterclass
Boring af tho, huh
This guy just butchers music.
The way he extended that. Getting the most out of the track without drawing it out ‘too much’. Damn
He's a legend and having met him on few occasions, i can say he's a genuinely nice and humble guy.
Love that NY HOUZE TRAK! Love how the male vocals pair up with the female vocals. Nice juxtaposition and SO complementary!
It's always a pleasure watching this man work. 😀

He's the ultimate showman in this world that doesn't want the adoration.

Could this have been done on a EFX1000 ?
Thanks in advance .

Apenas me alcanza pa las 350 no mames
makes it look too easy
Crazy skills, music is meh tho

this mixer (if i correctly recognised it as djm900) has headroom.
every mixer has headroom, not when you turn the gain up until the meter shows red :\
