I lived in Drumchapel as a child, 1965-1975, in Ryedale Place. Derelict now. Attended Summerhill school. Memories both happy and sad. Thanks for posting👍

At 8.21 you drove past my house I lived in as a child, 18 summer hill rd. Brings back good memories, and awful memories as I was bullied nearly on a daily basis when I went to school.And couldn't go out on my own very much in case my bullies saw me. I left with my family when I was 16. But I do have good memories to, my late daddy working there, going to hang out with him there, he worked in the parks dept, so was in the park opposite our house, and southdeen park,and the pitch and putt beside the shopping center. Great memories there. But the Drum has changed somewhat in 40 yrs. Thank you for the video.

Your drive begins in the area we called Stonedyke: I lived in Tallant Road, but I had a school pal who lived in Stonedyke.
To the left I recognise the small primary school (0.54) which stood on the hill, looking down on Old Drumchapel, towards the rail station.
I moved to Drumchapel about 1958 as a boy of eight, and recently attended a school reunion. Thanks for this up-to-date video.
