    Em respects the culture, loves hip hop and is forever shouting out the greats and his influences. He's never dipped and left or exploited people. Peoples issues with him are misdirected. It's not his fault the public took to him as they did

      I agree for the most part. I appreciate all the times he mentioned groups from the 90s like EPMD back when they weren't even known to most teens and young adults then. He definitely paid homage. At the same time, much of this controversy was probably because earlier on someone heard the song he did about "black girls"... regardless of standard language etc in rap, the controversy about whether he's racist was justified and as a major artist in the rap world he was obligated to explain himself.. It would have been one thing if he was someone occupying a top spot in a non"black" culture but he was in rap world with that in his history. It was controversial.. It had to be aired out.

      I barely fuck wit h Em like that but name someone who shows more respect & does more knowledge than dude. He STILL to this day rides almost too hard to show how much of a student of the game he is & how much respect & reverence he had & still has for the culture that saved his life. IJS IMO he's mad annoying & corny a little bit. BUT he def earned his place as much as humanly possible w/o the whit card. He couldn't control being white & these corporations giving him looks bcuz of it. But he lived up to his end most of the time even more than he needed to. He always gave 110% whether u love him or hate him. All while being aware & showing the utmost respect. Btw I REALLY don't mess w/ dude like that. I just deal in facts.

      We throw genuis around a lot 😆 Eminem had a good career, and he's a good rapper, no cap. Makes horrible music. Imo His best work is on features with other people picking the beats and cadences he lacks soul. I think Eminem gets sensitive about his ranking. He literally called us racist on his last vs. for not goating him. That's laughable from a reformed racist allegedly 🤣 He owed an apology a real one. Not a song on one of his weak records. That said, he can be everything they need him to be. Dont change shit in real life.

Aside from which Em has a large international fanbase, many of whom aren't white. He can't see who he's talking to and he doesn't ask. It could be someone from Nebraska or Iowa but could just as easily be Nigeria or India. He always assumes it's a white male. Em got the Elvis treatment = a Caucasian artist doing Black music / Black culture for Caucasians to praise a great white hope; and he simultaneously, subconsciously filled the fetish / need for Blacks w/(sub - conscious) self esteem issues to have a white Jesus in Rap.
    If Dr. Dre did not co sign Em, and Jimmy Iovine did not put the Interscope machine / money behind Em, and convinced to dye his hair blonde, even as skilled as he is, then Em would not have blown up, as he did; overshadowing equally & greater skilled MCs.

    • @akaspon1
      @akaspon1 11 месяцев назад

      Yeah, the fetish that could have been filled by a poppy White Vanilla Ice who did not have longevity because he was trash. What's funny is people delve deep into the psyche of a White artist who had to sacrifice his life to do something that at the time was not a way to make money and doing it Detroit was dangerous. All these other labels turned on him, and he ended up with Dre who helped himself and Em, but you think that was all some divine plan to create some "Jesus of rap". Or is what you are saying the result of having an inferiority complex to where you believe that anything positive that happens in this Country is all a result of some genius plan by "The Man" because we give White people credit for EVERYTHING! They are so smart, they can make a random White kid from Detroit rich and make all Black people hate him at the same time. If only Black people were THAT intelligent......

    Honestly, he wasn't even an Angel; he talked about sucialdal thoughts and other provocative stuff so he sure wasn't a role model like N'sync or Backstreet boys! Eminem was huge because he made me a black guy know that not all white people lives luxuriously... He was vulburable and human.
