😂 I was listening to a bunch of repair videos with 2x speed then when I hit on Urs at first I thought U we’re speaking a different language till I slowed it back to a normal speed realized it was just Ur accent. Had to laugh at myself.
The brickwork was loose uneven, the labour time was high. This will cause more stability issues weak points. Increased weight load. Remove bricks and replace with stone cast cills job done and last far longer
Thanks Anthony mate, sandcand cement mix with sbr painted on and in mix let it set solid a day ir 2 before top coating as im writing this im getting hungry as sounds lije cooking instructions lol
@@macplastering It's an old Victorian house 1880 and I've lost lots of the original detail. I was thinking the only way would be to make some sort of wooden profile for it? I've never seen a video for this
@gorringeman if you had the profile it could be run. Agin it's very time consuming... but could copy one make moulds ans cast them. This will be time consuming and costly but a little easier as you have the mould any windows long or shorter can just be cut to suit and made good
@@macplastering I've been watching this guy in Ecuador of all places and how they go about making these ornate windowsills, messy but end result is very good. ruclips.net/video/TsS7NxzdZZ4/видео.html&ab_channel=Lucasalarcon
@@gorringeman Yes he is running in situ for sure its slow messy hard work, why i say if you make it on a bench then make a mould of it you only have to do hard work one time then just fit it to wall like i did on this lion mould = ruclips.net/video/7qAEU_70jb8/видео.htmlsi=58nqQpqyxRY4eMFa
Do U treat underlying brick sills with a render grip, SBR/cement slurry for scratch Coat, I'm sure that float is put under front seat (In a Safe) every day for safe keeping, No Labourer will be Allowed to touch that Bad Boy 😂🤣😂, happy New year, Welcome Back to the Grind 🖖
Actually making a video on mixing right now but no mate always get weaker as you work out some like 4 to 1 then 5 to 1 but ive never had any issues with 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 top a stronger finish would be more likely to blow of a weaker under coat
A true master of your craft. Always impressive to behold
Thank you for that my friend

Unfortunately the man of the house just wanted them rendered again but yes lose bricks where relaid before rendering was done
Hi, so you put sbr in that 4/1 top coat. Is there plasticiser in there also? And is that your usual mix for fining down/float coat/devil coat? Thanks.

What's that catchy background music you had playing ?
Thanks Michael all the music we use is custom made by my nephew
Whats your mortal mix?
What type of job are you doing?
Will you paint the sills after?
Our job was just to re render them if bit was my home I would put acrylic on after
Mac how do you go about windowsills with moulding underneath them? I need to repair mine this year
Are they rendered to? Hard to say with out seeing it. You could possibly remould the detail parts if needed

Hi can I plaster clay window sills
These are red brick dose have clay as most there make up
Why 3-1 scratch and 4-1 top? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
