I'm 56 now and I've been building models since I was 7. Unfortunately for me my dad didn't build models, no brothers that built models so I learned on my own and I realized that I had a lot to learn and change when it comes to building a model. I just started airbrushing and I've spent the last 3 weeks or so watching you and others that know what they're doing so that I can learn from what I've seen. At the moment I'm building Hasegawa's 1/32 scale P-47D of Francis "Gabby" Gabreski's airplane. I'm not going to do that particular airplane, but anyway, hopefully everything I've watched so far will help my model turn out better than any before that. So far that's been true. Thank God for the airbrushing videos too because I had made that a 1,000 times harder than it needed to be. Anyway, sorry for writing a whole book and thank you again for all the great videos. Andy I have to thank you! I had actully lost my interrest in modelling and had just tossed it all in a box but after watching alot of your videos i have found all my gear back and started again! And I am loveing it!! Thanks Andy! It was your movies who sparked my interrest again!:)
before i buy any kit i check youtube to see if there are any build videos, and i swear every time i do a search there is Andy with a video lol. Thank you for making these and great job as always .
Andy, you are an inspiration. I built my last Tamiya kit back in the early 90's. After stumbling onto your channel, I've been so inspired to get back into building I've bought three kits, an Iwata airbrush and a slew of paints and am rounding out my brushes and tools right now to resume this hobby of love I've been away from so long. I suppose I could thank you, or be angry because it's costing me money but, I am so appreciative of you guiding me back to such a fulfilling past time. Thanks Andy and btw, you do great work.
Building this now, using your videos as a guide for painting, the only thing I’m doing different is metal torsion bars for working suspension, and modifying the torsion arms to allow for working wheels and sprockets along with some metal tracks, thank you for the inspiration
Andy, fabulous job. What a beauty. So good to see how that whole thing goes from scratch. All your videos are fantastic. But I have to say I am not too sure about the classical music thing. Otherwise, top notch, fabulous.
This kit looks amazing. I just inherited this kit from my brother who can't do models anymore and I am looking forward to building it even though it is a bit intimidating. Keep up the great work.
Looks fantastic Andy! I don't think the base needs to be bigger. You just want to see the model and the interior. Fantastic!! Like it a lot!! Over the last couple months you really have got me interested in doing a tank. Thanks!
Hi Andy, I did not know that part three was already out when I watched part two, you have truly done a GREAT job, and as I have said you are a true inspiration to the hobby, so for this build I will mark you 20/10. Take care mate Les
Wow. Great build Andy. It really shows how tight it is inside for the crew even for such a big tank. Getting those 88 mm shells off the rack and loaded must have been a workout! 🇨🇦
It is very educational to see all the pieces going in - it really shows how a tank works and what functionality each part has. I also understand better why the 1/35 scale is the small end of what can be motorized with RC and why the 1/16 is a better scale to do that. Blue Danube waltz? Good choice.
Very very nice build. Almost inspires me to build one myself. I’ve been building large scale sailing vessels primarily since high school and have enjoyed that very much.
This model probably has more pieces than the actual tank. A great build, Andy, I give you respect. Btw, I can imagine the designers’ face when he was asked to do that zimmerit. 😂
I've built the Meng version, which is a superb kit, and I've just ordered this one on the strength of your video's. Superb build and paint and well described, I'm looking forward to this one.
Bravo Andy! Bravo! I look forward to watching your videos weekly! I must say I've used some of your techniques and methods. Your videos are inspirational. Keep up the awesome work!
You are the best!!! I'm just a newbie but i choose the King Tiger 1/35 Takom lol and I was very confused until i watched your video. I've just finished my King Tiger xD, also Tiger 1, Ferdinand, Panther ahead. Thanks alot Andy.
I think that this kit is one that a lot of people will buy and in ten years time it will be still in their stash pile awaiting the time required to build it. A good 80% of the time required to build this tank is for parts that will in most cases never be seen again, unless, like you they build a display stand for it. It is without doubt a fantastically detailed tank, but I would never buy it as it is just too complicated for my abilities, as I am still very much a beginner and just about capable of building a Tamiya kit. More experienced builders will no doubt relish the challenge, but for now at least, I will stick to something below the 1000 parts count! Many thanks for these videos on the build and painting of this model kit and you deserve a nice long break after those 60 hours of labour required to complete it. Take it easy for a while and have some fun, Joe
I agree, I said the same thing to a few friends last week , I think this group of videos is doing so well , because most are getting the satisfaction of the build with out having to build it. THanks for watching
Andy's Hobby Headquarters I loved every minute of the videos, but would I build it??? No, I don't have the time or the skills. I am so glad that I was able to experience the build through your video and for that I am very grateful. Many thanks for these and indeed all of your videos.
I love what you do Andy, wish I had my own hobby shop. Thanks for sharing your tips. I'm working on a Dragon King Tiger and can't wait to try the chipped white wash effect.
Andy I'm a Brit so please excuse my ignorance but when you talk about a "dull coat" do you mean a coat of matt varnish? Love your videos btw. Cheers Martin
It is really amazing. I like it watching your video's, because I can learn from your workingprocess! The first thing I do on a new day is looking 'what's new from Andy'! All the best with your business! Greetings from Holland!
Thanks for the informative video and making it look so easy! I get inspired by stuff like this. Also a huge thanks for using NICE MUSIC in your lapse sequences!
Excellent work, Andy. Really enjoyed watching this build. I'm defiantly going to build this 1 myself at some point once i finish the 5 kits i've got on the go at the moment;)
Dear Andy, Thanks for sharing the building tips and it is very helpful. In the video 20:09, why do you use toothbrush and water to sand the model surface? Do you want to make the paint surface smoother?
Great build. If I can ever finish this, I would put it on acrylic support instead of oxide primer. I have been thinking it would be nice to have an assembly scene with overhead hoist.
Nice! The only things I would do differently are a hanging (using fishing line) display and cutting a front and possibly rear quarter then posing those parts diagonally off to the sides so as to show off the armor thickness; but honestly it's a lot of display area as is. Great job!!! I've been offered the sister model of this (i.e. Henschel Turret w/ Zimmerit) for $60 but don't know if I'll have the time or proper display area. This is a tough decision.
Andy's Hobby Headquarters Abrams sounds even better than Tiger 1! Hey I wrote you a week or so ago. Where can I can in touch with you privately? Email or something?
Good tips, good video! Lots of work for the modeler and thanks to you a good specification of what to pay attention to and how best to build the model. Thanks a lot for this! Unfortunately I see 45 thumbs down again? Why do people do this? Are probably not capable of modeling themselves, but have to downplay the performance of others. Idiots for me -Sorry!
Hi great work, i think i buy this kit its so detail and looks great, the paint work too but i dont like the camouflage coulers i paint it different so great work an welkome from Germany
That was incredible. I remember building models with my cousin who, unfortunately passed away from Leukemia.
Sorry for your loss
I haven't made a kit in over 40 years, but this one piqued my interest recently and it's been great to watch you build it up!
you need a vacation after completing this model lol
thank you for building the model AND filming the whole thing, much effort indeed.
I agree , Iol Thanks for watching
could you plz build the St. Charmand ww1french tank?
Vortex
Hard to believe that the real King Tigers were mostly built with slave labor.

Your skills show. And the narration is clear, concise and articulate. The music is just fine - don't forget some ofthe other masters, but no Wagner.
before i buy any kit i check youtube to see if there are any build videos, and i swear every time i do a search there is Andy with a video lol. Thank you for making these and great job as always .
I hate people who make things look so easy ... awesome job!
Absolutely amazing. I am a modeler, but not tanks; however, I am learning useful techniques by watching the videos. Thanks.
Great job Andy ! I love the way you chose to present the model to show off the interior features.
Wow Andy, that looks so great! You hit it out of the ball park with that camo too! Wonderful!!🙌
thank you

Wow... just... wow.
This model is so impressive, you did a really great job on it!
Also, I cant get over how sexy the tracks look
Building this now, using your videos as a guide for painting, the only thing I’m doing different is metal torsion bars for working suspension, and modifying the torsion arms to allow for working wheels and sprockets along with some metal tracks, thank you for the inspiration
I like the use of an old tooth brush for chipping. good idea.
Andy, fabulous job. What a beauty. So good to see how that whole thing goes from scratch. All your videos are fantastic. But I have to say I am not too sure about the classical music thing. Otherwise, top notch, fabulous.

Andy, the build has been beautiful,. Great job😊
Sometimes you really got to admire those mould makers and designers to compe up with such complex moulds for these models.
I agree that was a great design work ,Thank you for watching
Looks fantastic Andy! I don't think the base needs to be bigger. You just want to see the model and the interior. Fantastic!! Like it a lot!! Over the last couple months you really have got me interested in doing a tank. Thanks!
thank you for watching, I might keep it on the base , after looking at it I agree it looks ok
Keep up the great work Andy! Thanks for sharing...I would like to get that tank but can't find it. Do you ship stuff out?
Hi Andy,

Beautiful. Watching you build this was an experience, thank you so much for sharing this with us!
The amount of engineering it took to design this vehicle during the war is insane.... And great build.
well worth watching, excellent job on that one Andy, the kit AND the build definitely raises the bar.
It is very educational to see all the pieces going in - it really shows how a tank works and what functionality each part has. I also understand better why the 1/35 scale is the small end of what can be motorized with RC and why the 1/16 is a better scale to do that. Blue Danube waltz? Good choice.
it is the best king tiger model i ever seen
Fantastic build of a great kit! Congratulations!
Thank you
.... oh, and nice touch with the timing idler bearing down under the display platform ;)
Very very nice build. Almost inspires me to build one myself. I’ve been building large scale sailing vessels primarily since high school and have enjoyed that very much.
very nice job Andy thanks for taking the time to build an awesome tiger 2
How can one dislike this! Amazing!
Fantastic build Andy. I've watched this a few times so far and enjoyed every moment of the build....
Fantastic job Andy , it was pleasure to watch your vidios ! Take care buddy.
fantastic build Andy well done
This model probably has more pieces than the actual tank. A great build, Andy, I give you respect.
Btw, I can imagine the designers’ face when he was asked to do that zimmerit. 😂
Love your work. Working on a panther myself, a takom kit with interior. lot of work .
I've built the Meng version, which is a superb kit, and I've just ordered this one on the strength of your video's. Superb build and paint and well described, I'm looking forward to this one.

very impressed with the work, thanks for filming it up close with the camera, I know that can be a pain!
Hi Andy. Great video, as always.
I'd love to be able to get this kit without the interior stuf. Awesome looking beast Andy !

I agree wholeheartedly with Vortex, a lot of effort but the end result is just increadible. Thanks for sharing.
Andy I'm a Brit so please excuse my ignorance but when you talk about a "dull coat" do you mean a coat of matt varnish? Love your videos btw.

Joseph Heaney woah what!?
I think your accidentally including the main structure pieces lol
When you showed the " Please subscribe " I just clicked Subscribe as fast as I could, well done on that kit.
Thanks for the informative video and making it look so easy! I get inspired by stuff like this. Also a huge thanks for using NICE MUSIC in your lapse sequences!

Another great build, Andy! Congratulations. Really like that camo. I wish the kit came with a crew so we could have a better sense of scale.
Bonjour de la France ville dunkerque superbe excellent travail continue comme ça 😉😉😉

It came out Great Andy! Nice job.
This Takom KT was your best vid so far! I like it a lot and the fact that it is longer. How about something else with interior? Maybe Tiger I RFM?
Thank you for watching. I am planning to do the RFM M1 with interior when it comes out , have to do a few easy builds first .
Andy's Hobby Headquarters Abrams sounds even better than Tiger 1!
