    I was scammed a few yuan here and there in Sanya, but nothing major and I was expecting this. Since my visit back in 2005, I've seen videos of Hainan beaches ankle-deep in rubbish from filthy Chinese tourists who don't take their crap home with them and there don't seem to be any beach cleaners. Most of my Chinese friends can't stand the place and complain that they'll never go there again. The commentator was right to point out how Southeast Asia is a more 'pleasant and affordable option.' I returned from Hainan with an ear infection from the hotel pool.

    Why go to Hainan when you can go to Southeasia for much much cheaper prices and experience Southeast Asian hospitality and friendliness

  • @cktan523
    @cktan523 9 дней назад

    i'm from Singapore. My elderly mom went to Hainan with a group tour via tour agency recently. They had a cheap promo package - just after their golden week hols. She was raving about it, and i guess compared it to a cruise ship trip - cheaper overall + good food esp seafood, and service. The circus like shows, sea park and disney like village disguised as their local minority group's village felt quite artificial to me when my mom described them/ showed me photos. I was a bit disturbed by how she described how well trained the belugas in the sea park were, in doing the show for them... I guess its ok if going there for 5 star treatment, food and ok to pay. I asked her if it was crowded and she said not really. + she described the place as clean. Maybe they took the old feedback and adjusted alrdy
