I don’t know quite how to explain this, but television interviews just seemed so much quieter and more thoughtful back then. It’s something in the very sound, you can just concentrate on the voices so much more easily.
Out of interest I googled these men being interviewed, their incredible acts of bravery the complete opposite of the humility they display here. Ordinary men displaying extraordinary bravery. Lest we forget.
honestly, all these blurred sections are ridiculous - so much fear over licences, censorship and copyright - play the clip in it's entirity or else these things get lost for everybody
