Really glad to see the trend away from the All White Kitchen. I think mix & match works for me personally because i am drawn to so many different elements. I especially like the Rustic Industrial and can think of a lot of fun ways to combine these two styles with emphasis on the Industrial and some rustic shelving or rustic cabinet or two or a moment of new old pendant lighting. I also like the Natural aesthetic and Quartzite counter top and backsplash. Additional, lighting is the icing on the cake and love the more subtle ways to incorporate, such as under-cabinet-lighting.

Not just little hands. Every hand, even if just washed, has salts and moisture on it. The area of a cabinet around the handle is always the first to deteriorate. When we renovated, we found cabinet hardware with a backing that protects the wood.
I am building but have done many remodels of older homes. I am going all out and doing an Organic Modern style home. I have done tons of white kitchens but I am stepping out as I know white is going out. @@pennymodern

I also love white kitchen cabinets! Mine are more of a vanilla right now, but we are buying a new build soon and I may do another color just for the island such as pale blue or sage and add more wood elements such as wood strips on the hood vent, a few open wood shelves and such, but the darkest I will go with my cabinets is a very pale gray or mushroom color. I like a bright, clean kitchen. I do love that the microwave over the cooktop is going away!
@@deborahwatson148 I love blue. I've always had blue walls for 50 years...whether it was in style or not. But I've always struggled with the right green to put with it 65 years old and I've returned 1ooooooo items because they are the wrong green Now I realize it's grey and blue I'm happy now! All said I would choose sage for the island lol
Thanks but I'll stick with the classic and timeless white, whether it be in or out or style, I love, past, present, and future. Now the gold fixtures the have been for the past 8 years can go.

Yes a lot of these are certainly staged so they have removed a lot of the personal items. Having accessories and decor would certainly help some of these seem more cozy! Thank you for the comment!

Totally agree! My mom has a white kitchen and the cabinets are from 30 years ago but overall it doesn’t look half bad!

I think the biggest concern with flat panel doors is the lack of hardware so little hands and fingers will leave prints everywhere.
oh gosh yes, I agree! Flat panel cabinets are coming back in a big way. They do get dirty I agree!

No one follows silly “this year trends” for large ticket remodels. Those green and coral cabs will be dated in a hot minute.

Paint the cabinets a color of your choice if you need a change. It is very time consuming, so you may want to hire a professional.

Putting in white cabinets in my home now as well as a flip we are doing. My millionaire sister just put in white cabinets as well.
Well you can't go wrong with white, certainly. But some folks are tired of white kitchens so want different options.

yes it would be helpful to know what type of decorating to do it you don't want to hate it in say 10 years. @@pennymodern
To me, these kitchens look cold and sterile - no matter their color. There is absolutely no warmth.

I agree that white is a timeless choice for sure! But some people have a white kitchen and want a change, right?
