Imagine a country where its financial lifeline is being drained by its own public servants. This is the reality in Pakistan today. In this documentary, we explore the stark disparities created by Pakistan’s bureaucracy. While the nation grapples with a staggering debt of 270 billion dollars, government employees bask in opulence. There are 3.2 million government workers, with 580,000 in the federal government alone, whose salaries and pensions are so exorbitant that they could fund thousands of hospitals and schools. These public servants enjoy a life of luxury, with rent-free residences and numerous perks, while the common citizens shoulder the burden of a growing national debt.
The problem is exacerbated by outdated colonial compensation packages that grant government employees benefits far beyond their private-sector counterparts. For instance, the Commissioner of Sargodha’s residence is larger than Pakistan’s biggest stadium. The pension system is equally alarming, where retirees receive 70% of their salary for life, often surpassing their active earnings. This pension burden is the third largest expense in Pakistan’s budget, after loans and defense. Despite the 18th amendment that devolved powers to the provinces, the number of federal employees has not decreased, leading to an unsustainable economic situation.
Our documentary reveals the deep-rooted inefficiencies and corruption within Pakistan's bureaucracy, emphasizing the urgent need for reform. It sheds light on the stark contrast between the privileges enjoyed by government employees and the sacrifices of ordinary citizens. Through thorough research and compelling storytelling, we propose solutions to restructure the system and steer Pakistan towards a more equitable and prosperous future. Apni salary Mai Woh keval chotti wali Maruti car afford Kar payay, Haan unhe office lane lejane ke liyay govt ki official kar aati thi. Apna Ghar bhi merey Father ne retirement ke baad bunwaya, Haan unhain retirement ke baad pension jaroor milti hai. Mai bhi aik engineer hoon, apne father ki situation dekhte hue mainey sarkari Naukri prefer nahi ki. Merey batch ke jyada tar classmates ne sarkari Naukri prefer nahi ki, aur jinhone join ki unmai se jyada ne chhood di.

@@DKS_London If the country is run well, then allowances for government workers are not needed. Instead, provide them with a good salary so they can live comfortably and with respect. Additionally, ensure free education and healthcare for everyone.

اب صورتحال یہ ہوچکی ہے کہ سرکاری ملازمین نے آگے اور ملازم(ٹاؤٹس) رکھے ہوئے ہیں ۔ جو رشوت کے پیسوں کے اوپر چل رہے ہیں۔
پٹواری جو کہ گریڈ 5 کا سرکاری ملازم ہے جس کی بنیادی تنخواہ 30 سے 35 ہزار نے آگے مزید 10 منشی رکھے ہوتے ہیں جن کو پیسے رشوت کی رقم میں سے دیے جاتے ہیں۔

Except three groups... DMG, Police and Foriegn service, all other remaining groups should be abolished.especially i have seen dumbest officers in audit and accounts and FBR.

In our state Rajasthan order passed by government if you don’t know how to operate computer and your age is 50 plus then you have to take VRS (voluntary retirement) and it is forceful such steps you have to take not just be subjective like hamko kuch karna chahiye

I have landed on Karachi Airport and my passport is a western passport and a citizen of a western country i was first at foreign passport line and waiting for immigration clearance. After sometime an immigration officer arrived and sat like a boss and in some minutes passed a person came and he whispered into his ears and left . After this immigration officer told me to go back and make a room for 25 people who were deported from greece and they were without passports I refused to go back because this was foreign passport holders line but he did not listen to me and pushed me on the floor and everybody was watching did nothing to in my support now what you can expect from this country.
