Took A Year Off And Built This Custom Lowrider Cruiser

- This was built 4 years a go, June 10th 2020. I took a full year off from building customs. I was so burned out and thought I was done forever.
I went and visited a friend and fellow fabricator that weekend. He wanted to build a few frames and I had a few designs already worked up.
Well, after that weekend, we ended up with 2 frames and changed up the chain stays on each. This sparked me wanting to come back. This time, i was going to do things differently. I no longer took orders to build anything. I would only build my own designs and work at my own pace. No customers waiting on builds or trying to change things mid build.
That is how I have been doing it now for the past 4 years and I have to say, it works! My frames are more than just bicycles to me, they are my form of metal art. And by doing what I do now, they actually mean something to the new owner. They get a one off, built by me and that makes this all worth it.
Stress free is the way to be!!! Like I told you 4 years ago, It's not about customers or money.. It's about your passion!!

CBURKE I only build one-offs too. I had one guy once that wanted an individual set of apehangers so I made a set. When he saw them he said he wanted them to look like a photo he had of a factory set. I said you cant have one-offs that looked like a factory produced set so I then told him to buzz of and used them on one of my personal bikes that a friend ended up buying so i still won anyway, lol.
