I liked the water proof box. Great idea.
This is great information. I gotta get a plastic tub and put my connector in it.
Great information! Thanks for clearing that up. I've been thinking about adding an extension cord to the camper and this really helps.
Awesome information. Love the plastic container idea
Great video....thank you for the information
👍 thank you! A lot of info in a quick video!
Thanks for sharing!.
Really like the idea of keeping connections dry with a plastic container w/lid. Thank you
Some RV park pedestals have receptacles that are upside down and the cord has to be plugged in a manner that the cord is in a gooseneck bend. While, it won't be too terribly bad for one night, you really don't want your shore power cord to be bent like a gooseneck. Over time, the weight of the cord pulling against your shore power cord can cause the cord to develop a fracture, a stress fracture and put your shore power cord in the toilet sooner. This is what I always like to do...I made mine however, it works. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE WIRE YOU USE MATCHES THE GUAGE ON YOUR SHORE POWER CORD! VERY IMPORTANT! I made a small 18 inch extension cord that is only 18 inches. What this does is it takes the punishment of the gooseneck bend instead of my shore power cord. Kinda like a sacrificial cord. This is a lot cheaper to repair than replacing the shore power cord set. And, have your coach retrofitted with a removable shore power cord set if it is not already equipped. I find it a lot easier to use than pulling a cord out of a hatch found on some coaches. And, because, it has a twist lock plug, a lot of job sites have 50 amp 120/240 volt twist lock receptacles. Use a twist lock extension cord and you're all set! And, if you can get 90 degree angled twist lock adapters, use them on the coach side of the cord. The less amounts of bends in the cord, the better off you are. Best of all, NONE of these tricks require installation. I always like to carry twist lock extension cords and normal cord sets and normal extension cords of various sizes for the various power that I might run into. I also carry adapters too.
Thanks from a new camper.
Thank you for all your great videos!
Nice video
Thanks
thumbs up.
Do you recommend a specific brand of 30 amp RV cord? I saw the Mighty Cord, any others? Great presentation, by the way!
👍😎✌
My RV extension cord has a light that flickers red. Is there something I need to know as to why this is happening?
And not all RV extension cords are the same. A name brand RV extension cord got hot on both ends but a Walmart rv extension cord stayed cool on both ends.
Has anyone used an extension cord with an incinolet toilet?
RV 102 question? Why does my RV have a 3 wire 30 amp connection and my Generator has a 4 wire 30 amp connection?
I am guessing you are talking about a portable generator set. The majority of portable generators can be switched between 120 volts and 240 volts. When used on 240 volts it would require a second load wire and that would explain the 4 wires.
