Give a medal to the audio engineers here, those drums sound better than most studio productions
Just thinking that. The snare sounds exceptional even on my pissy laptop speakers.
Seriously... You can hear the hi-hat roll around after the hits
i mean it kind of is a studio production

They sounded phenomenal the couple times I've seen them too, one of the best mixes I've heard. I'm not sure if they have a dedicated engineer or the band just really knows how to get what they want.
Seriously, Russian Circles' songwriting tell better stories than Netflix
No surprises there
That's not very difficult
My 1 year old son tells better stories than Netflix, and he can only say about 6 words.
You’re all so cool for shitting on Netflix, well done 👏
@@alexsmith-rs6zq right? netflix tells compelling stories more than these fools would like to admit
May RUclips's suggestion algorithm be blessed.
That's how I discovered them!
@@micahnewman me too! RUclips knows me better than anyone
#blessed
Agreed!
these boys are about to summon something we cant control.
Cthulhu
Don't worry, it took over a year, but I got your mom under control.
@@donniejep5745 thank you for your service.
When your bassist really doesn’t want another guitarist in the band.
Ha. Yeah, I was wondering about that. I haven't kept up with them well for a while and wondered where his bass disappeared to.
Nice one ;) But still: This works pretty damn good for me!
@@hansmaulwurf6805 those inlays on his fretboard had me laughing
:-) I can imagine the fight on this topic inside the band ! :-)
Anyway, definitely no need for this...
it's a baritone
These 3 noble druids were given the unholy and unenviable task of producing a song so magnificently dark that even a level 2000 demon cannot enter the house they were tasked with protecting for 100 years. Well done lads
Love this comment.
Hahaha have to second on the love for this comment. So funny but accurate
Bwahahahaha
🤘😘❤️💯🔥🫱🫲🙋🖤🔛
Love that at 5:50 the camera operator can't help but rock their head!
It's pretty cool that they got a gig at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
These dudes are so freakin consistent, it's ridiculous! Another banger.
The internet blessed me with this gift. My new favorite band.
I'm not sure if it's the way he plays or that he knows which drums to buy, but Dave Turncrantz has the best sounding drum kit in the industry today, absolutely fucking massive sound
Especially live...
TBH both. Amazingly talented and uses great drum sets. Here he uses Ludwig Chrome over Wood or Chrome over Brass.
These guys are just special.... I don't even have the words. It's a mystical experience for sure.
Audiotree take note, Red Sparowes are coming back from hiatus. Please add them to your amazing showcase!
Magus Maximmus wait, what for real!?
Josiah Martin yes sir, they’re playing Roadburn Festival this year. Their first live gig in 10 years. Hopefully there’s more shows planned for the year!!!
@@magusmaximmus2172 where is that festival???

Any news from Evpatoria Report and Shora?
This is the stuff I live for.
you and me both!

Finally Russian Circles on Audiotree!
You are literally becoming my favourite band and I've only heard 2 songs. I love the frequency matching. Just getting those two to play nicely with delay and distortion is a lot of fun.
Oh man, welcome to the party. Their newest album Gnosis is incredible, if you like these tracks. That said, I've been listening since I first saw them live at some small venue in Missouri back in I think 2007, and they've been doing nothing but putting out perfection ever since.
@@aaronwhite1786 They are incredible. I've been working on a synth project that uses some of their techniques. (e.g. delays, loopers, frequency shifters, etc.) Just stumbled upon them randomly on RUclips and was blown away. I thought many artists didn't do that.
Good to see other musicians using similar techniques.
They have always been masters of composition and at producing massive sound. Thank you Russian Circles.
Wow I’ve only just come across this band and I am so glad! Incredible
Russian Circles never fail. Always masterpieces. Much Love for this band.
Quality music, quality blokes, quality gear, quality production. This is dope.
Just new to this band
IM NEVER TURNING BACK. GENIUS BOYS!
Rust Cohle is such a great guitarist!
Wait till you hear him sing in the deafheaven..
It’s because time is a flat russian circle..
I love this band so much.
That is a sweet baritone, good lord. Unbelievably good tone from all of them. I like how the baritone and the bass are kind of the star of this song. Fuckin amazing jam
Believe it or not, the drummer is the brains and soul of this band.
His drums drew me in
Russian Circles live so much from the drumming of Dave. I am more and more amazed!
Best rhythm section going today. Unreal.
So weird to see Dave playing without a fan blowing his beautiful mane everywhere.
I thought there was an element missing!
Brian's guitar's inlays always crack me up
the most aesthetic audio tree production I've seen so far. Beautiful. Would love to see more of this cinematic look on your channel. well done.
The sonic explosion at 3:05 is galactic!
Epic jams for gear-heads/audio engineers. I feel like I'm spending a fortune watching this.
I feel like they spent a fortune to gift us such quality. I must see them live
They don't even need any engineering work done 💯💥👌🤭
As usual, they sound incredible. I saw them at Radio City Music Hall in 2013? and it was the loudest, best sounding show I've ever heard.
I'm listening to Sinaia while visiting Sinaia.
Can not wait to see you guys in concert. In the meantime: support them, go get a shirt!
I witnessed this band at a small venue in Dallas Tx on a rainy night and it was one of the greatest musical moments of my life..
Fun fact: Sinaia is a mountain town/resort in the Carpathians, Romania. The royal family had a couple of castles there, that you can sometimes see in stupid Netflix romcoms. It might be beautiful there, the mountains are majestic, but there are way too many tourists. I will now give myself a thumbs up.
Those triplet rim hits gets me all the time!
I randomly stumbled upon their “Enter” album like 15 or so years ago. One of the best random RUclips videos I ever clicked on. Especially since it was during the time I got VERY heavy into post-rock. Russian Circles was one of the bands that really opened the door for me, and got me deeper into the scene, beyond the more mainstream bands like Mogwai or Explosions in the Sky.
Storytellers.
Wow! Production on this song is something else! Amazing!
one of my favorite live bands to watch, always killing it!
One of my favorite drummers. AND a super nice dude.
Why did I not put 2 and 2 together before... POST metal... POST apocalyptic... It all makes sense now. This is exactly something I'd hear in a movie like 28 Days Later and IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Russian Circles, for this materpiece!
Everything in this is just perfect! The Audio, the Video, the Song, the Band...
A friend introduced me to Russian Circles, years ago. He said “It’s like post-rock, but good”. Haha (not to throw shade on post-rock at all. I’m a fan).
They remind me of a punchier explosions in the sky
Hmmmm
I use "it's like post-rock, but good" to describe half the post rock bands i show my friends lol
That's funny, when I first heard these guys I thought they were the band that perfected post-rock
Can name some others great bands in the genre? This is pure quality
Well done Audiotree! I remember the days when O'brother, The Soil & the Sun etc played live on your channel, very few subscribers. And now you re one of the best music channels on youtube!! R E S P E C T
The heavy crack of that snare, though!
We're in love with this session
Just heard these guys for the first time today I love them!
omg that backline, tho. twins and 810's is what I like to see
When you're pissed off dealing with lead singers. Nice...
It takes stamina to tremolo pick like that for so long! Love Russian Circles, such epic music.
black metal has entered the chat
Russian Circles vids are some of the highest quality sound you will come across on the RUclips, but they really must be seen live to capture the full essence. Rarely has such a small number of people (three) so fully saturated a room with sound. It is a sonically overwhelming experience.
Agreed, watched them frighten a whole audience once during Harper Lewis.
Very much this! I remember seeing them for the first time live some +10 years ago and how I was floored how ridiculously massive Cook's bass sound was live - even though they were playing in a small club venue. You can otherwise try to replicate the live sound by putting all the volume knobs to full blast in your sound systems, but it's quite impossible to replicate that huge bulldozer bass sound which makes the band sound so massive when they play live. Adds a whole 'nother dimension to their already expansive soundscape.
Wow! What a sound!!! AMAZING!
Whoever does the mixes for Audiotree is a god among men. I'm listening on my BeyerDynamic DT990s, and this sounds like a studio masterpiece
The title of the song is a city in Romania.
There you are :D
Haha all Romanians gather!
Dezamagire! I would've expected the video to be shot in Sinaia!
Romanian Circles
Sinaia takes it's name from the monarch Cantacuzino who travelled to visit a monastry on Sinai Mountain back in time.
Hey really digging these new series, keep it up. good job.
The inlay on Brian's guitar tho
It being a first act guitar is what surprises me the most! I didn't know they made like non entry level walmart guitars. Looks sick tbh.
Bear-i-tone baby
@@mr_doublebutt pretty sure jack white uses first act. Surprised me too to learn they weren't a garbage company lol
Mr_Doublebutt about ten years ago most heavy Boston bands like converge, and bands along that line were playing first act, they have an insane custom shop.
Fat bottomed girls...
The Cinematography on this is brilliant. Yes I've said it. Cinematography.
Wow Matthew McConaughey on guitar....awesome!
Best song of the Best Album of the Year 2019!
Best album YES ... best song ... disputable, I think Milano is so brutal yet so beautiful
It's not a song, there are no vocals.
@@jamma246 How does the lack of vocals make it not a song?
@@gridband793 By definition a song has singing.
A piece of music without singing is usually called a piece, or a track, or a composition,...
This is art. Art doesnot need definition.
The Masters. 🙏
beautiful production! thank you very much for this :)
That is the most beautiful Les Paul I’ve ever seen. And they sound absolutely epic.
lol brown nose
jack benson I’ve never heard these guys before. I’m a professional musician and they sound tight and the mix is huge. A little positivity never hurt anyone there boss
Yeah I really like that color too. When it comes to guitars the look is very important to me, and I used to not care for Gibson body shapes(especially SG's), but then I dated a girl who had an Epiphone LesPaul Modern II I think? Basically it's thinner, lighter, and slightly smaller than a standard LP. Playing that guitar blew me away, but specifically how effortless it was to make chords on the low frets. It's an uncomfortable strain to play the same chords on my Telecaster.
Haven’t seen him with the Dunable for a while,
The green and tobacco are both epic. I love them. I have a Gibby LP smartwood studio. So I can definitely feel Mike's in my hands.
INCREDIBLE Performance! *Love that Les Paul Custom... WOW!
quite the enjoyable listen. RC f'ing rocks!
This is mindblowing! Great sound and video too.
Can't believe no-one has commented on irony of guitarist looking like Rasputin! great band and sound btw
Favorite song on the album
Love these guys!
Only just discovered these, amazing
4/1 can't come soon enough. RC in Vienna. So stoked to see them once again! 🤘💓🎶
Oh yeah! Last time they supported Mastodon, that was a dream lineup for me and now they're headlining....what a time to be alive and have ears
Holy moly this is great...
What a deep and explosive snare.. Very f'ing cool
Epic performance, great capture
Amazing sound...
This is just perfect!
Cant't remember when i had a favourite so long
Amazing song and killer audio recording.
Шикарно!!! Спасибо!!!
wow...really cool vibes!
Thank you Russian Circles to give us some inspiration for our first project with POULPE (Dilavarus)🙏
really cool sound!!!
great session
OMG THANK YOU AUDIOTREE
Best inlays I've ever seen lmao. I bought some stickers like those and put on my roommates rear window back in the day lol.. he didn't think it was funny...
Haha, I would have laughed! 😂
Brian Cook playing guitar awesome 🤘 Russian Circles is love
Daniel Tapia it’s a baritone one.
Wow.. and the bass tone is massive.
Brian Cook is the king of bass tone and presence.
I’m feeling this shit. Reminds me of Cult of Luna
Man you guys are awesome! 🤘🤘🤘. Sharing with everyone I know
I can count the number of bands out there that use a Baritone Guitar on one finger. very cool.
This band is amazing
This is magnificent.
Amazing!
69 years passed and i'm still waiting for the melodic line
Sounds like Russian Circles.
It's unbelievable that they are BOTH unlike anything else AND amazing.
@ They sound like bog-standard post-rock dirge to me. Reverb, tremelo, delay. crash cymbal... profit. Give me something, anything, to give a shit about. It's boring.
@@whatdothlife4660 unnecessary
Loren Darcy It’s pretty obvious to me that you’re not a musician or have any keen sense of musical talent whatsoever. If you did, you’d be more apt to appreciate what they have to offer. That’s ok though, you can go back to your keyboard-pressing music now.
Bram Sebio-Brundage Bram Sebio-Brundage I hate to say it but I disagree, someone not appreciating the same music as you doesn’t make them wrong it just means you have different tastes. Besides that I agree, it’s boring, it’s just trem picking over some slight variations of the same chord progression. There’s no backbone to it, no groove, and very little progression for a song that’s 8 minutes long.
Drum mix on this is Chubbs Peterson. Nicely done!
Great video & music. The place sounds really great! 📚📚📚
This is so dope and it should be getting waaaay more views imo
