I have fished at Fletchers in those row boats plenty of times and have seen guys catch massive cats under Chain Bridge, caught several that size myself. The big ones make those look small in comparison. Up river on the Potomac or even further up on the Shenandoah where it's a lot shallower and slower you can catch 100 a night the size of the first couple he caught using chicken livers and drinking Budweiser.
Where do you get or catch your catfish bait and what baits are best? I’m new to the DC area and am trying to figure out the fishing scene so any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
I prefer cut herring, Shad, or bluegill. You can get herring at Fletchers Boathouse. You can also use chicken livers or salted clams, honestly anything super smelly should do the trick 😂

I have caught fish in fletcher cove and I got a white catfish that's not really common in fletcher cove
