As a data-scientist with a constant struggle to communicate my findings to the layman in a clear and appealing ways, you are truly a source of inspiration!!! I discovered your channel a couple of months ago and I have been binge-watching for hours at a time. Not only do I love the solid science-backed insights, but the storytelling is a real master-class. Above all, it’s the positive energy emanating from your videos that move me the most. This should have a lot more views… and I’m sure it’ll come, eventually. Please, keep it up!

@@m.esmeraldacaceres3171 Were you kidding? Chris did tons of research and presented so many sources. He showed Wikipedia exactly because he talked about how even a cursory interest a minute of googling would provide the real information. Yet this speaker intentionally talked utter bullshit, and using his BS for undermining a scientist with personal attacks. On unfounded ground. But I guess you feel hurt because you Revere this fraud or have a pony in the race like he does.
@@datagroup1911More than once I've read an article about Dr Richard Bernstein who wrote Diabetes Solution where he is said to be an Endocrinologist. He ISN'T. And this includes people/organizations that claim to do basic fact checking etc. I've even taken the time to bring it to their attention expecting them to look into it and make the appropriate correction. They don't. Who knows how many people would argue about this and make even make a bet because they aren't smart enough to consider the possibility that what they read was wrong?
This video is a master class. Fantastic lesson in how people manipulate and ignore facts in general. Wow. Stellar work and research, Chris! I'm sorry about your pooch....I had to put mine down a few years ago...still painful to talk about. Hang in there!
(AKA joinedupdoc) As someone with an BSc and MD in history of medicine I've noticed over the years that talking nonsense about history is easily done, rarely picked up on, and widely indulged but characters like this. Thanks for this tireless work of yours. It deserves the biggest possible audience.
Wow. Wow. People would believe Dr. Diamond because no one would research and research those historical texts. Thank you for being here and sharing, Chris.
I cant imagine how long it takes to put all this information together in a video. You are obsessed and I thank you so much Chris. I cant get colleagues to change what they eat, but I can send them a link to you.
My condolences on your unbearable loss, and sincere gratitude for each and every episode you tirelessly produce, Chris. It was fun getting to know you better on Simon’s episode with you!!
The photos you shared of your doggo were so precious! He looks like he might have been a real character - the best kinds of pets to have! How open of you to share your grief, which was not only touching, but understandable to all of us who have lost furbabies from our family circle. May healing come soon to your heart so that the pain isn't so raw. Thank you for reminding us that length of life and health during that length of life are the best markers to measure. There is nothing like a health crisis to make one re-evaluate their choices!
I’m so sorry about your sweet puppy. I know how it feels to lose a canine family member. I love your channel and really appreciate all the research you do. Thank you for helping those of us that aren’t scientifically inclined to understand all the info out there! 🤗
I've been haunted by this video from yesterday and just wanted to say I'm so sorry to hear of your profound loss. I remember that sweet pup face from a previous video where he seemed snuggled behind you out of the frame on the porch. Not only is it heart wrenching to lose our animal family at any time, those sounded like especially traumatic circumstances for you all. Wishing you as much peace and grace as possible through the grieving process. And not that that process ever ends but hope the sharp edges dull quickly and that there is comfort in the joy of your time together. For what it's worth, it's readily apparent that this was one very lucky, cherished dog friend. Thank you for all you do, and for bringing such humanity to it every time. I've been binge watch/listening while working and it can be easy to feel distanced and anonymous, but it was impossible not to comment here. Sending healing thoughts.
I will never understand how these charlatans obfuscate life saving truth for their own biased ($$$$$) selfish agendas! Worse yet, how eager people are to believe any BS that falsely states what they WANT to hear!
Once again thank you so much Chris. Your attention to detail is awesome! As I said before, I am a physician in Canada who has tried to promote healthy living for two decades. Your episodes are so helpful. Thanks for taking the time to scan/ reproduce articles to make them clear- it is so very helpful.
Thank you so much. Physicians are my heroes - I can't imagine how you do what you do. It must be so difficult to have patients come to you believing Internet misinformation. 😵💫
My father had very high cholesterol and died from a heart attack. Please don't listen to these people that say high cholesterol is harmless, it could cost you your life.
Cholesterol levels are genetically. I eat what everyone would call a really bad diet but my cholesterol is that of an infant. A heart attack also doesn't necessarily have to deal with a blockage, there are lots of other reasons for heart failure independent from cholesterol levels.

Dear Chris, This is a general comment. I am an experimental psychologist with a deep-rooted interest for nutrition and health. Over the years, I’ve explored different approaches to eating using myself as a case study. More recently though, I’ve been trying to better understand the science behind it all. It always amazes me to see how many contradictory recommendations and misinformation are circulating within the public sphere. This frustration led me to contemplate starting my own RUclips channel, intending to navigate through the maze of information by relying on scientific evidence rather than the varying perspectives of doctors and authors worldwide. In my pursuit, I stumbled on your remarkable RUclips channel, and I must express my appreciation for the incredible work you are doing. Your commitment to disseminating accurate information to the public by verifying original sources really resonates with me. As I watch your videos, I realize that your channel is very much what I had envisioned for my own channel, but in a much more proficient and impactful manner! Thank you… your videos are an invaluable resource and I look forward to watching more of them!
Another masterclass. To think I almost ignored this channel due to a stubborn commitment to avoiding confirmation bias as an ethical vegan. Your commitment, articulacy, talent and humanity flaws me every time. Thanks for giving your precious dog the life he deserved and thanks for your unwavering dedication to the truth. I do hope social media and the stresses that come with being so active on it don't take too much of a toll on you. I hope you have a way of tuning out as often as you can. Thanks for everything.
I never expected to become a sobbing puddle of goo during a plant chompers vid, Chris. Wow, so sorry to hear about your fami8ly member!!! As a dog person, these things hit hard and remind me of a lifetime with dogs and their meaning in my life. I've been a fan of yours for well over a decade for your uncompromising integrity, honesty, curiosity and intellect, but what really caught my eye was the wonderful pic of that beautiful boy as your avatar. Rest well good boy! Wonderful video, btw. Perhaps your best yet! I'll watch the rest later when my eyes stop blurring. Best to you and yours, sir. Jack
Chris, hugs to you and your family for your loss 😢💔 Whilst ascertaining which of your episodes is tricky, this episode rises to clear first place. You've done an amazing job here and you are one of my favourite RUclipsrs ❤
I really enjoy your videos as a WFPB person, and you are INCREDIBLY entertaining. You are very unique in how your videos are filmed and presented. You are one of my favorite things on the internet. I am so sorry to hear of you and your family's loss of your precious furbaby. You guys are in my thoughts today!
@@ccamireahahah I knew someone would show up with this kind of stuff. Did it change my perception on the rest of the vid? Absolutely nop, so why would he use it for that purpose? Sometimes people are in such a spiritual pit that they believe the rest of us are on the same level
I was fully down the beef and saturated fat rabbit hole. You saved my life. Thank you for the good work you do. And the loving way you do it! Sincerely Alex
This a total lie and fraud , don’t be fooled by the facts that he presenting to you about meet and saturated fats , just look at the over all ratio of how many people of each side of the spectrum, weather it be vegans or meat eaters, you would find ratio way up for better health for meat 🥩 eaters , meat is not the bad guy . It’s the way society portrays it , you can put , crohns ,colitis , diabetes into remission
Me, too. I discovered your videos when I was on low carbohydrate diet. I saw videos on how long do health influencers live and was convinced that I needed to go back to eat a plant based diet. I couldn't follow low carb anyway since I love my fruits and vegetables. Even without starchy vegetables and grains in the diet, my diet was moderate carbohydrate. Eating mostly plants, I'm no longer pre-diabetic and my total cholesterol dropped a hundred points. I still eat mostly non-starchy vegetables and fruit. Instead of eating meat as a side with my vegetables, I eat grains. It's a lot cheaper on top of being healthier.
Wow, this is amazing! I used to be one of the biggest meat eaters you could imagine. I have been vegan for about 2 years now and I feel the best I have ever felt. All of my blood work has improved tremendously! I appreciate the hard work you have put into your videos. Much respect!
Thank you for what you do! My son , who has issues with his weight has decided to go on a keto diet. These young people are so impressional and act as these keto gurus are gods! So l share these videos with him and have noticed he is conscience of his fat intake now and introducing vegatables into his diet! Im sorry about your dog . I lost mine as well and l felt like l lost a child!
I never found low carb sustainable... I would crave carbs too much.... I have recently adopted a Whole Food Plant Based diet do to High Blood Pressure and have been happy to find I am loosing weight at the same time.. and it enormously helped with my BP.
@@rubygreta1 Yes, they are allowed, and you can even do a plant based keto.... and assuming you get most of your fat from non-tropical nuts Coconuts tend to be extremely high in saturated fat, you may do very well on the diet... but I still found no carbs to be much harder than no meat.
so sorry for your loss! I hope you dwell in the happy memories and know that your dog loved and appreciated all the care you and your family gave to him.
As always you go after misinformation with kindness and reason, and show how they lie in a way that those of us not in the science community can understand. Thank you for what you are doing here, and I am very sorry for your loss it is so hard to lose a member of your family 2 legs or 4.
It’s such a blow when a lynchpin of the family meets a tragic and untimely end. Even when we think we’re prepared; we’re not really. Remember the happier times, of course. Video and links all great resources. Thank you!
Amazing work, love to see that you are uploading some of these hard to find papers, you are going above and beyond.. Time magazine will be calling to arrange a photoshoot for your cover photo any day now
Pretty incredible how Dr. Diamond keeps misrepresenting things. Also, thank you for making the PDFs higher quality. Edit: I’m sorry about your doggo. I had a strong bond with mine for 17 years. Still not over it. ❤

Thank you for your continued work ✊👏 I’m so sorry your canine companion is no longer with you. Sending huge vibes of compassion abd love. It was 15 years until I homed another needy hound, once my last pup died. I get where you are coming from and send the very best to you and your family ❤️🩹
What you’re doing Chris is very very important. There isn’t a way that a person like myself. Could get this information and I need it and I will help spread it too. You’ve also given me a source to rebut arguments that come up when I am trying to help family members to make better nutrition choices. It’s so interesting that they are able to parrot every piece of misinformation that you were able to point out today. Your grief will be intense for quite awhile.
Amazing work ! As an MD “ educated “ in Germany - living in Lebanon and a mother of 3 - I live on raw fruits , vegetables , nuts and some seeds since my years in medical school ! I was never sick , been unvaccinated as well as my kids - since birth and we are never sick nor getting any medication… other than sunshine, outdoor sports and living with our animals. We lost our German shepherd dog some weeks ago- and I was extremely sad- so I feel with you and your family. Much love from Lebanon and keep up your great information ❤
First I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a dog is the hardest thing I've had to deal with... How much better would the world be if everyone was as knowledgeable and noble as Chris. Great video! Thanks for this channel!
It's amazing how misinformation can be harmful. Whether ill-intended or not, it's shameful as well. Thank you so much for being the soldier of truth and helping us to get our eyes opened, Chris. Keep up the good work, and I hope you and your family can recover from your loss. Death is not the end.
My heart goes out to you and your beautiful family Chris. I too have loved a dog who died too soon. 🥺 Thank you for your service to all of us, in this jungle of health & nutrition misinformation.
The loss of a beloved pet is profound. I am so sorry for you, Toni, and the rest of the family. The fact that you pushed through your grief to provide us with another amazing episode is truly appreciated.
It made my whole morning to see you posted a new video this morning! Not disappointed one bit. Your content is exceptionally well done no matter what you cover. Thank you very very much for doing your work! Sorry about your dog, speaking from experience, just keep all the good memories in your heart.
I'm sorry for your loss. No need to apologize for your sadness. I understand that feeling of suffocation, I wept for days and days when I lost a cat. I didn't eat, I only forced myself to drink broth so I wouldn't get sick. Take all the time you need, one day you'll be able to remember him fondly without the pain. It's okay if it overwhelms you.
So sorry amount the loss of your beloved dog, Chris. Despite the grief, you carried on to produce another are well researched and produced video that is densely packed with data. My mom had a friend who’d gone to high school with Jack LaLanne and had said he was a skinny kid who wanted to buff up, hence the motivation for developing a diet and exercise program. He went on to help millions.
Nice guy jack did great things. But we all have our problem.. To whit you do a check and you will find a DUI arrest years ago. He felt I have heard from his acquaintances if you follow a pretty perfect diet and exercise regime you can occasionally endeavor unhealthy behaviors. I think he was probably right in that. I don't know how often or more then occasional he indulged but to get a dui I would guess more than once(1990's I think).
Yes I have had many friends in the fitness community over the years just by virture of being around it really. So I found that out and had one that was closely involved with Jack in some business dealings, he was a national physique level judge at one time and a oft time competitor before injury my friend, Which were jacks initial roots the bodybuilding physique community at first. He later got far away from it probably as it became so corrupted with drugs Even way back then it had started.. Steroids in the fories fifties sure. So I knew that and asked him my friend and that was his answer. Jack felt a occasional indulgence was OK. It is a pretty closed community really as so much income depends on perception. Most of the stuff is kept secret. Not to drop the guy he was great and a great example. I agree I it is the whole not the parts.
Hey Chris.🤯WOW! What a wonderful video. Really appreciate your pursuit of knowledge and great video-making. I am going to share this with several friends and family members. Thank you for all you do. I hope I get to meet you and share a conversation someday. Also, with heartfelt condolences, sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for adopting a puppy with special needs and giving him a wonderful life. Your videos are so helpful but please take the time and space you need. So sorry for your loss. Animals are family who pay the rent with licks, wags and unconditional love. Thank you for clearing up so much misinformation. My heart aches for you. I lost my girl a year ago and the grief is so deep. Lots of love. You do amazing work and I’m so glad to have found your channel!
When you see Coca Cola on the altar next to Our Lady of Guadalupe in rural Chiapas; I haven't found any company that can top that. Mexico remains the highest consumption of the product.
I think you should do an interview with Peter Rogers MD. He is a Harvard educated doctor who has a great youtube channel primarily focused on diet and toxicology promoting low fat low sodium WFPB Diet while backing up his claims with very thorough scientific explanations and studies. I'm assure he'd love to be on the channel.
I have watched just about all of Dr Rogers videos and have come to the conclusion he is as Chris says in this video compelling and scientific sounding because he has such knowledge of biochemistry. However Dr Rogers dismisses the Mediterranean diet out of hand without any scientific reason for such a dismissal. So although I like him and his talks I remain sceptical of his claims. But in fairness to him he admits he is extreme because he guesses it will lead to excellence in health.
So sorry for your loss Chris. Amazing video … really a masterwork. All of your work is a great gift, and helps so many of us. Thank you for your generosity. You make an huge difference and are a real inspiration.
Very sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved companion, I miss my dogs too, got one when I was a kid and the second in my highschool years and lost both of them to hit and runs. It's incredible the bond one can form with animals, specially when they keep you company and cheer you up all the time. Excellent video as usual, hats off
You are amazing! Thank you. Losing a companion animal is always hard. Your beloved lives on in your heart. Now I am tearing up thinking about my own past companions. Bless you always.
I have low cholesterol after years of high cholesterol. Eating less meat a week than I did in a day makes a difference. My blood sugars are great although I eat lots of carbohydrates. People act like I must be lying or exaggerating when I say I eat sixteen servings of vegetables a day. For breakfast today, I had a pot of vegetables: carrots, red cabbage, onion and green pepper. I would guess that I ate close to two quarts of cooked vegetables so that would be nearly sixteen servings and it's only the first meal of the day. I'll have at least one more meal today if not two or three.
This is my experience as well. I was able to drop my cholesterol to 130 and ldl to 80 just by reducing meat and diary. My triglycerides too reached 44 at their lowest despite eating ton of carbohydrates daily.
Btw, you mentioned physics, my stepfather was a fairly well-known nuclear physicist, he received a Lawrence award, worked for the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, and had many other impressive accomplishments in the world of nuclear physics
So sorry to hear about your doggie. He was lucky to have had such great company. Thank you for putting these historically important and super-tidy/legible reprints out on the interwebs--what a gift! I'm pulling them all up to accompany a second run-through of your vid. Best wishes.
I admire your patience and clarity in the face of those grifters to stay polite! I know what it is to loose a friend,so rejoice in the fact that you knew that dog,so much souvenirs to cherish. Take care.
Thank you for all your time and effort for this video. You have really helped me better understand the depths that people go to skew available information, and boldly at that. Also, very sorry to hear about the passing of your companion.
So sorry for your loss, l still miss my lab Sophie ‘the botanist’ who died in 1995, who loved plants. Also Polly who died in2014and who realised to her glee that while some people have guard dogs, some dogs have guard humans. It sounds like you were one of those.
So sorry for you loss, Chris. It's tough (no, it's heart wrenching) to say goodbye to our furry family members, but they leave us with memories to carry for the rest of our lives. Thanks for another informative video. I would say that 9 out of 10 of the people in my life adhere to Dr Diamond's misinformation; and while I don't have an expectation to change any of their opinions, I do like knowing the truth...which manifests in my own health as I live a WFPB and limited SOS lifestyle.
Thank you. I think in America that's about the right ratio: 9 of 10. Credit the food companies for their genius marketing, but I'm in an age group where it's tragic to see my once-vigorous friends now limping, bent over, on 8 drugs. They were once models of health, believing the flame-broiled steaks they were eating were the ultimate in nutrition.
@@Viva-Longevity I'm in my late 50s (although I tell myself that 57 is still the mid 50s). It's eye opening how many of my friends are taking so many medications for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. I sat with two of them at a meal a couple of years ago (I had plant-based pizza; they both had burgers and fries), and between the three of us, we took a total 20 or 21 pills per day. They accounted for 19 of them, while my B-12 rounded us up to 20 (and in the Winter months up here in the PNW, I will add Vitamin D and bring the total up to 21). Sad part of the story is one of those two friends passed away from a massive heart attack last Summer. He adhered to a low carb diet. He wasn't heavy at all and was actually pretty active (hiking, tennis), but this was his third heart attack in a six or seven year period. He was convinced that his ticket out of heart disease was a low carb / high fat diet. I have a feeling that more and more stories like these are going to unfold over these last few decades of my life.
This just might be your best video yet...which is saying a lot because they're all amazing. (And I'm saying this as a scientist and statistician.) Also, I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing our furry family members is truly heartbreaking. Wishing you peace and comfort as your mourn your sweet dog.
Oh Chris so sorry to hear of your family's loss ♡🐕 I'm sure your good doge won the family lottery going to loving folks like you!! My guy is almost 10 and I will be beyond wrecked when he goes. Sorry to hear about your loss, losing a companion like that is heartbreaking. He surely was very thankful for what you enabled him throughout his lifetime. Keep on doing what you're doing - I love you.
I"m so sick and tired of those keto loving self proclaimed gurus (and their mentally challenged audience) repeating the same exact phrases over and over again. I'd be ashamed of myself if I knew I didn't read the publication/book but decided to talk about it in the public. Thank you, Chris, for what you do, and I'm so sorry about your puppy ;(
My heart goes out to you for your loss. My cat is sick and it's been worrying me to no end. It's so easy to form a strong bond with a pet over many years - who else is overjoyed to see you when you come home every single time? - and then so painful to lose them. Sending you hugs from Canada. Wonderful video as always, many of us highly appreciate your efforts here, correcting all of the misinformation out there - from reading the other comments it seems I'm not alone in having fallen for some of it at one point. And what a great idea making some of those old papers more easily searchable and available!
Chris - Sorry to hear about your loss, I could feel your emotion and admiration for your pup! Thank you for this incredible episode. I was once a Gary Taubs disciple. I also read Nina T book, which was is an obvious plagiarism of Taubs. I am now WFPB. This episode is a home run ! Thank you!! Also, thanks for reminding me how much I love my pup (a yellow lab, now 12 yo, named Koko, who has helped me through many a difficult time!).
I am so sorry about your loss. They do become our family members, don't they? I hope that all of the wonderful memories that you have with him with sustain you, and perhaps there will be room in your heart and home for a new rescue at some point. Thanks for this video in the midst of your grief. You are saving many lives and changing many minds and hearts with your diligent and wonderful work. 💚
I appreciate this information. Also, I just lost my 12 yr old dog, too, who I'd had since she was weaned. 😞 I understand the grief. I'm sure your dog & mine are chasing squirrels together - pain-free - right now.
Im so glad I stumbled upon your channel back then. It's a god send for all the facts & information you tirelessly gather and present. Thank you truly Chris, please keep the videos comin
I'm so very sorry for your loss, Chris. My cat, Stanley, died a year ago. He was only 12. Cancer. It was just devastating. I found the one thing that helped me...I adopted another cat...he was over 10 years old and stuck in a cage at the animal shelter for 2 months. I couldn't save my Stanley, but I could save this new cat from his sad existence in a cage. It felt so very good to get him out of there and give him a good home. His name is Marty, and he's the joy of my life every single day.
Great video. Well done. I know a few of the books you mentioned, but others I did not. I would encourage everyone to read Banting's letter on corpulence. As you said, the letter does not say what the high-fatters claim. And indeed, I also don't understand why Ancel Keys is so vilified. I prefer to eat foods, not recipes, so I never tried the recipes in his books, but I found "The benevolent bean" fascinating. He even talks about lupines, which -although very easy to find- almost no-one seems to know despite it being studied by the EU as part of what they call the "protein transition". As for Dr. Atkins, I must have been about 13 years old when I read his original Diet Revolution, in Dutch translation, I didn't know a word of English at the time. I remember his diet was vilified, but for reasons that didn't make sense. The only thing I found fascinating though, was the claim that people are not hungry on his diet. So, I tried it a few decades later. I was hungrier than ever and ballooned faster than ever... never again. And the video you showed of the great nutrition debate in 2000 nicely shows that Atkins was simply fat, not skinny, so his diet obviously didn't work for him either. This, in my view, is one of your best videos. Congratulations.
Thank you for this video and all your others - they're very thought provoking, fascinating and well written. I used to be in the 'meat and sat fat' is healthy crowd until I went Vegan and videos like yours do a great job at combating misinformation. And I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your faithful hound, that secion of the video chocked me up a little - sending love!
I’m so sorry for your loss, Chris. My 15 year old dog had to be put to sleep after she developed diabetes. We had managed diabetes for years with her companion, who passed two years before, but she had too many other health problems to be able to keep going. It’s such a hard thing to go through, especially when a lot of your routines include care tasks for them. It just turns into reminders that they aren’t there. I wish you the best in you grieving process, and thank you for still finishing this video.
My heartfelt condolences. I believe that dogs are God's way of giving us a foretaste of angelic love. I also believe that you'll be reunited one day. In the meantime, I'll say a little prayer for your family and your departed.
I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved pet. My condolences. As for your video, once again you have proved what an amazing person you are. Too many reasons to go into. So I just want to thank you once again for having our backs and for doing all the amazing work you do. You are a true hero.
Chris - I have to say that I am absolutely binging all of your videos as of late. I’m maybe a late joiner to your channel, but I ABSOLUTELY appreciate your transparency, your candid perspectives, and your polite, but factual, responses to people who don’t agree with your views. Watching your channel has had a huge impact on the way that our family is eating now. I know you’ve mentioned tidbits of how you/family eat across some of the videos I’ve seen, but I’d be curious on your perspectives from all of your reading/research on the aspects of the “ideal” human diet. (Maybe you have it and I just haven’t come across it yet). Anyway, thank you so much for the public service you’re doing by sharing your passion/research with the world. No doubt these videos take a ton of time to research let alone record and edit. Keep it up! …and absolutely sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. I’m the same way, I’ll be crushed when my buddy passes. No shame in appreciating the impact a pet can have on our lives!
I am sorry for your loss, Chris. I too have had similar losses- they are indeed hard. Also, I can’t express how much your videos give me hope that I’ll find a healthy middle path to live with reasonable health outcomes having sorted through the debris field of current nutrition advice. Thank you with all my heart for the work you undertake for your viewers🙏
Wow, I just found you and have been tearing through the videos. Honestly, I think your content is too in depth for the casual plant-curious person... but I say that only to make you feel better about not having more subscribers! You should have millions! But also, what makes your channel what it is is that you're not at all sensationalist and are completely focused on the truth and science of the matter. I applaud you, sir.
Thanks for helping spread the truth and providing the details behind all of this important work. I do not miss any of your videos. Great stuff! As for your dog, we share your pain and just said goodbye to our beautiful friend of 14 years. Cesar Milan said it best - “You do not get the dog you want. You get the dog you need.” The dogs that require extra attention or that have troubled pasts are the ones that burrow deepest into your heart. They take a piece of your soul with them but over time comes the recognition of the mighty love they gave and you so willingly returned. Thanks for doing what you do with integrity and honesty. Keep it up!
I’ve been a fan since your very 1st video and I have to say this video is at another level entirely. Thank you for all you do, and like so many other commenters, I so sorry for your loss. I recently lost my doggie and it has been so difficult. Thank you for trodding thru and finishing this important video.
It took me 3 months to be able to comment on this video because i believe nobody and read through all the books/studies/pamphlets referenced in this video myself. My findings? Everything said in this video is accurate and has now become the number one video i have people watch on the topic of saturated fat. Great work. Please keep it up. That said i will still continue to fact check you and your references in the videos you make. It's nothing personal.
Chris we dog lovers are all with you. Our much-loved shepherd passed away in his sleep last week after dealing with health issues. Our hearts go out to you 💔 they are like our children.
Chris, I am so sorry about your dog. I too had a dog that came to us with health problems. But he ended up being a wonderful little companion and lived a happy life. The worst part about owning dogs is that they do not live as long as us :(

Were you kidding?
Thank you so much. ❤️
I applaud you for studying people who think like dr. Diamond. I'm glad you do. I looked at his original video and couldn't stomach it. Thank you.
Why is Dr. Diamond trying to kill people?
I will never understand how these charlatans obfuscate life saving truth for their own biased ($$$$$) selfish agendas! Worse yet, how eager people are to believe any BS that falsely states what they WANT to hear!
Was the reason you didn’t like his video that you didn’t like the message?

Once again thank you so much Chris. Your attention to detail is awesome! As I said before, I am a physician in Canada who has tried to promote healthy living for two decades. Your episodes are so helpful. Thanks for taking the time to scan/ reproduce articles to make them clear- it is so very helpful.
Thank you so much. Physicians are my heroes - I can't imagine how you do what you do. It must be so difficult to have patients come to you believing Internet misinformation. 😵💫
You wouldn't happen to be in Ontario would you? I'm looking for a GP who is aware and promotes healthy living. 😊
My father had very high cholesterol and died from a heart attack. Please don't listen to these people that say high cholesterol is harmless, it could cost you your life.
My mother is 91 she’s always been very thin and has always had high cholesterol never took any meds 🤷♀️
High cholesterol runs in my family, we're all amazingly healthy and slim. 🌷
Correlation isn't causation. Most likely there were other factors involved like a poor diet or an unhealthy lifestyle.
Cholesterol levels are genetically. I eat what everyone would call a really bad diet but my cholesterol is that of an infant. A heart attack also doesn't necessarily have to deal with a blockage, there are lots of other reasons for heart failure independent from cholesterol levels.
Her being very thin has probably saved her health so far, maybe she has very low stress and lower blood pressure, plus women often don't get these issues as quickly as men do. @@Shellbee22
Very excited to watch this intelligent and stylish gentleman's non-fiction nutrition content.
Agreed and I think a particularly good episode this time around.
Stylish? In what sense? He dresses like a homeless bum so I'm guessing that's not what you meant.
we plant eaters are so lucky to have you on our team, Chris. Great video!
Jack

I didn’t know that about him…
Yes I have had many friends in the fitness community over the years just by virture of being around it really.
❤❤Thank you for being so thorough and speaking up regarding nutrition. I’m very sorry about your pup, too.
I'm sorry for your loss!
And despite that, this might be your best work yet! Thank you and keep doing what you do!

My triglycerides too reached 44 at their lowest despite eating ton of carbohydrates daily.
cool, not like your body needs cholesterol for anything, it's just kinda this chemical it makes for no reason at all, who needs ANY?
Btw, you mentioned physics, my stepfather was a fairly well-known nuclear physicist, he received a Lawrence award, worked for the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, and had many other impressive accomplishments in the world of nuclear physics
So sorry to hear about your doggie. He was lucky to have had such great company. Thank you for putting these historically important and super-tidy/legible reprints out on the interwebs--what a gift! I'm pulling them all up to accompany a second run-through of your vid. Best wishes.
I love you even more since I saw you on Simon Hil utube channel. Didn't know about your younger self. You done good.
I admire your patience and clarity in the face of those grifters to stay polite!
I know what it is to loose a friend,so rejoice in the fact that you knew that dog,so much souvenirs to cherish.

So sorry to hear about your friend. As Ancel Keys’ data showed in this episode, it gets dramatically worse each decade. Brace yourself. 😞
Chris, I am sorry about your dog. They accept us as we are. I have a dog who had surgery when she was 6 months. Caring for her has deepen my love.

My heart goes out to you for your loss. My cat is sick and it's been worrying me to no end. It's so easy to form a strong bond with a pet over many years - who else is overjoyed to see you when you come home every single time? - and then so painful to lose them. Sending you hugs from Canada.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your amazing friend & companion Chris. Hope all of the love and good memories you have will help through the pain.
So sorry for your loss; we also suddenly lost one of our companion animals in March, it's been devastating
I'm so sorry about your dog, Chris! I honor you for finishing this video, in spite of the personal pain you're going through!

I’m so very sorry about your beloved friend. Thank you for helping us keep our heads clear despite all the noise.
Thank you! I should do a video on what we eat. It has been evolving some since I started the channel because I'm learning a lot doing this.
@@Viva-Longevity Yes, that would be great, a concise video about what you currently believe to be the ideal diet.
The misinformation and outright lies from Diamond are maddening. So glad there are people like you calling them out in detail.
I’m so sorry for your loss 🐶💕😞
May your grief pass quickly, leaving only happy memories of Buddy🙏🏻💕
Fantastic work as ever! I'm another refugee from keto...all I got for my keto efforts was renal cell carcinoma.
Yikes, sorry to hear about your kidney cancer. 😢 How is treatment going?
Wow, I just found you and have been tearing through the videos. Honestly, I think your content is too in depth for the casual plant-curious person... but I say that only to make you feel better about not having more subscribers! You should have millions! But also, what makes your channel what it is is that you're not at all sensationalist and are completely focused on the truth and science of the matter. I applaud you, sir.
Thank you so much!
My sincere condolences Chris ... and thank you for mustering up the strength to produce another insightful video under extraordinary circumstances..
Thanks! Please keep fact checking me. If I make a mistake, I want it corrected.
Your dives have always been deep but this was next level! A million thanks!🙏
The worst part about owning dogs is that they do not live as long as us :(
My sincerest condolences to you. The loss of a companion pet is deeply heartbreaking.
