SGC is great at their turn-around times, so I knew that the first few submissions to PSA via GameStop were, in essence going to receive "preference," because you don't want people waiting two or three months for their GameStop submissions to return. But, if you got your submission back in less than 30 business days, then I am excited and I will submit via GameStop as well. With that said, I am personally still reluctant to submit high-dollar cards(cards selling raw for $300 to $5K) with GameStop or any LCS for that matter. I have a rookie Juraj Slafkovsky RPA(quad color patch) that has sold "raw" For $2,994, $2,700, $2,549 and three times between $2150 to $2,300). That card alone almost made me subscribe to PSA's $199 collector's club.
exactly, I agree. I think these GameStop submission do have priority, cause that turnaround was crazy fast. Your probably right to be hesitant with a card like that, way too valuable to trust that it will be handled properly. In my experience, seems like PSA or grading companys are also a lil more "lenient" on the grades when u pay for a premium grading service, although that is def not a fact. TBH, would prob make much more sense and would be more secure if u got the membership and sent that one in yourself
GameStop should convince them to waive the up charge on more expensive cards if submitted through the store. That would drive more business through them, and that’s a ridiculous policy anyway.
The Celebi and Charizard were clearly offcenter. No surprise they didn't get 10s there. That pikachu is nice though... Centering looks good. Wonder if it could be cleaned to get a better grade.

Whaat?! Dude that's messed up. How many cards did u send and how many were damaged? I did 3 total submissions with 2 different gamestops. Jokingly, yet sternly I explained i took videos and pics of all the cards. If any come back in a condition worse than I left them, I'd take matters from there. One thing I don't like is how they put your cards in a zip loc looking baggie, then the baggie gets tossed in a drawer until Fed ex comes. Both managers explained they get shipped in an actual box for "better protection." My thing is, I explained the cards should be placed in a box and sealed immediately. Not whenever Fed ex picks them up. Not acceptable
@@GrimmRipper88I agree with the baggie. I understand PSA and GS do it to save money but man, why leave them in the “locked” drawer under behind the counter. Hope employees don’t regular access to cards; knowing me I’d be wanting to look at them all day lol.

Hey I just got about three submissions, back and for the most part, I was happy, but I got a a few cards back They weren't in the same condition they were when I sent them in. I took pictures of them before. And the grades are lower, and i'm noticing things on a few of the cards. But on the upside, my charizards were 2x 9s and 7,6 . And then there were a couple cards that I know were for sure tens that came back lower. I did like the fact that I got him back. Pretty fast, but i hope they do better with the next mission
On on another note, my game stop shop. The employees a really awesome ankoo, and they know they're stuff. So shouts out to the gamestop on Wilshire and Vermont.
when your grading cards, its the estimated return value. Which is a lil "stupid" because u obv dont know what grade youll get until the card is returned
haha 😆 did they thank you as well?? Im assuming cards that have massive recent movements in price are being turned away, like my 151 Zard. Which cards of yours did they turn away?
In your last video, i immediately didn't like the fact that they literally place your card(s) in a sandwich-like zip-lock bag! They, meaning GameStop should have an assortment of small boxes to fit your submission. if you turn in one card, they should have a styrdy, small box to fit that card and the same for two or more cards, all the way up to 20 cards. THEN, if they place your submissions into a ziplock bag, after the fact, then I am good with that! It's going to either take a ton of customer complaining that cards were damaged during the packing, shipping or grading process or GameStop will get rid of the zip-lock bags and start using boxes instead.
there are def a lot of complaints about the envelopes, your right. I do know that GameStop sends the submissions 20 at a time, meaning a box wont go out until there are 20 cards in there
id say it depends on the estimated value of that card.... if u think its going to be less than like $200 than I would go for it.... if its got a crazy high estimated value, might make more sense to go to PSA directly
yeah, u do get an email, just like when u submit with PSA. The email will tell u grades and stuff before they ship back to store.... but to your point, before they get sent out, i have no way of verifying someone didnt switch my card out
right, the send each submission 20 at a time and then i believe thats how they return as well. So they employees would have to open the box and divide the returns... also Jaye knew i was coming in that day so he had them ready to go for video

pretty sure you can use your own, but as of my last video, they have to be ultra pro card savers and sleeves. Hopefully GME will change that or get better Card Savers
U just gotta do better vetting your cards is all. PSA is incredibly picky. U need a really good light u can hold your cards under and take several minutes to go over them. I've spent 20min looking at one card to see if it's worth grading. And u gotta really really look at the centering. I've had many that looked spot on but in the slab I could see it barely off center. You'll get better. Just need to spend the long time on vetting.
100%, i got the whole kit for examining and checking centering. I just rushed out the door to get that original video shot. Thats why I knew Celebi and Zard were prob not coming back in a 10. Im planning on submitting more soon, Im going to bring out the cards and my centering tool on one of my lives so we can look at em together and decide on what should be submitted next, thanks for comment
I hate that the Gamestop employees can go through your cards before you get to. I like it better if they were shipped discretely in a package for you to open yourself.
right... that seems to be one big problem with the process. As of the time I was recording this video, Gamestop waits until they have 20 Submissions before they send out the package. And obv the package is mixed between multiple customers. So when the box comes back, they have to open it and divide the orders up.
@@DanD367 I submitted Oct, 29. My order updated to shipped within a few days. Nov, 21 and it's still showing as shipped but hasn't changed to PSA processing yet. 151 centering has been rough. I got the blasoise sir and its almost identitical to the charizard which is why i decided not to send it in as a 9 is worth about the same or less than an ungraded.
I'm waiting for my Pikachu EX 238 to come back... Worried about the added price. Could be an extra $100 for me to pick it up if it's lucky enough to be a 10.
@Smokemon07 so far 2 weeks and they said I may be getting them back sooner than expected. I'm waiting for that voicemail! Got an alt art lugia I traded the heck up for to see what I get and have one more to send to beckett.
@hieinh 😕😪 wishing u the best lol... it seems like the biggest part of the delay is the actual gamestop waiting to get 20 submissions before they send package to PSA
@@hieinhSame here, I submitted 4 cards Oct, 29th. Few days later via the Gamestop app i saw it updated to shipped. Nov, 25th and the order is still only saying shipped. Almost a month with no other updates.
Question I don’t know if it’s a truth or false I drop off my cards at GameStop for grading submissions the employees told me that until they get 20 cards they send it to psa but on the email GameStop will give me a update in 7 days I an new to psa submission system
im 99% sure that is true... a bunch of people submitted on the same day as me so that wasnt a problem but i believe in my 1st video, Jaye did mention that
@@aw3017 I assume it’s because they send in bulk orders with multiple people’s cards, it would be unrealistic to need everyone show up at the same time so the GameStop guy can crack the box.
🤮 anny idea if they sat at the store for a long time or if PSA has been slow grading them? cause it seems like tthe "biggest" delay for most people right now is waiting for the gamestop to get 20 submissions so they can send in the cards
@stevn744 You realize that just because something is a 9 doesn't mean it's worth the same as every other card that's a 9....right? Like a base set Charizard 9 is gonna be worth far more than a 10 of an undesirable set.
the older the card, the more money the lower graded cards are worth. Anything printed in last couple years is a loss in an 8 and pretty much even money in a 9. Thats why my Pikachu brought me the biggest profit, although it was only an 8.
😂 i cant say for sure, but in my first experience, they do have to be Ultra Pro. Seems like if u bring your own Ultra Pro sleeves and card savers u will be okay, but dont know about a different company. They made me change mine out
100%, that was a big issue when i first dropped off the cards... someone had to switch out like 15+ cards and put them into them tiny sleeves 🤣😪.... im not too sure how strict they are with the ultra pro sleeves now, but at the beginning it did feel like u had to use them exclusively
he knew i was coming in so that was part of it, but also there was like 3 or 4 different people returns in that box so they had to open it to divide them up 👍
100% agree with modern cards... things like the Pikachu and more vintage stuff have value even not in a 10. The Celebi was def a waste of money and I took a big hit between getting the 8 and then selling it to GmaeStop for $18 🤣
I took 14 cards to GameStop the other day and was told they don't ship them to PSA until they have 20 cards. Or, if they don't get the 20 cards then every 10 days, they will ship whatever they have
i dont get the obsession with 10s lol wrather have 7-9s sell much quicker others industries sports cards comics and coins perfects are very rare very over priced i been doing this since 1986 when grading started with coins dont over pay take that lower grade
with modern pokemon cards, there is really no profit to be made outside of a 10. Like the two (9's) I got back barely cover the grading fee, and if i had to incur fees and shipping when i sell the card, it would be a loss... however, older cards like that Pikachu can come back in an 8 and make me more profit than a Newer card in a 9.
I haven't seen a Poketuber really test the grading process yet. I sent 3 submisdions so far. 2 were 26 cards each and one was 20 cards. I'm worried PSA will intentionally grade these lower than they would if you sent them out yourself. Meaning, most ppl can expect around a 50-60% PSA 10 return rate on most modern cards. I have this bad feeling PSA will grade these lower also hoping the average person will trade in their 8's, 9's cheaper than they would selling online. We'll see when I get my cards back. I plan on doing a full analysis review on if its worth grafing through Gamestop. Your Jolteon looked like a 10, imo. But i will admit, there was no wsy those other 3 were getting a 10. Even the Shadowless Red Cheek Pika looked like an 8 to me. But u only graded 4 cards. Kinda tough to do a full dissecting analysis. Personally, 3 out of 4 grades were deserved, which is 75% correct. If that's the rate of expectation, then the process isn't bad.
I would think your more likely to get bad grades sending cards in yourself cause they would know they are grading cards from gamestop. On the plus side if you are grading just a few cards its cheaper to do it with gamestop rather than doing it yourself plus if there is damage or your cards get lost gamestop will fix the issue (hopefully) but after that shit happened with people getting tons of cards back as 5s when they were clearly better. Then the fact you can crack a case to regrade and they jump from a 7,8,9 to a 10 just doesn't make sense at least with beckett they show were there is issues on your cards not just some rando with PSA that has a bad day and gives you a 7 when it could be a 9 or 10. Should be machines that do the grading not a person cause someone grading your cards may have 10s in the cards you send in and will never give you a 10 for instance.
exactly, the Jolteon was the only potential 10 😪 u make a great point that someone else mentioned in the comments, with this Bulk Grading fee, PSA might be more hesitant to give out 10's. I know the "rumor" is that the more u pay for the services the better grade u get, so this is a very valid concern. This is partially why i didnt send a big submission but your right, 4 isnt the best sample size. Which is why I plan on submitting more. Good luck with your returns, let us know how it goes
All great points 💯 def agree with your opinion on sending a couple cards thru GME vs a massive submission that u submit directly yourself. yeah i imagine very soon that these people will be replaced with robots and AI
To be honest I am afraid of the same thing. But I've had issues with grades that don't match the cards I sent in before. In the end its all being graded by humans and there is always a chance that the grader that will be unfair for what ever reason.
wanted to try out the new process and see how it is 😊 figured it would make a good video lol, plus show my audience the process so they can decide for themselves if they want to submit thru GME or buy the $100 membership and go directly to PSA

151 centering has been rough. I got the blasoise sir and its almost identitical to the charizard which is why i decided not to send it in as a 9 is worth about the same or less than an ungraded.
😂😪 funny enough, i sent a 151 Blastoise last year on my own and i also got back a 9
I'm waiting for my Pikachu EX 238 to come back... Worried about the added price. Could be an extra $100 for me to pick it up if it's lucky enough to be a 10.
@@dboogeman2002 INSANE CARD 🔥 please let us know how it goes and what they charge... good luck with it
@Smokemon07 will do
Bring Jaye back! He's amazing and extremely informative!
I think we will 💪 prob going to send some more cards out next month
@Smokemon07 ill do the same im waiting for my first bundle to come back.
@@Tofoo155 nice, good luck 🤞 how long u been waiting?
@Smokemon07 so far 2 weeks and they said I may be getting them back sooner than expected. I'm waiting for that voicemail! Got an alt art lugia I traded the heck up for to see what I get and have one more to send to beckett.
Wow what a guy Mr Jay what a gentleman and a scholar 😮😮👍🏼👍🏼
@@prolific9411 🤣 100%
They don’t come in a box from PSA and protect your cards privacy?
Yes they all get returned in a box from PSA 👍 Jaye just had them ready to go for the video
Great video. Subscribed
Thanks for subscribing, appreciate u checking out the vid 👍
I submitted oct 31st and haven't heard anything yet. It's gonna be the whole 45 days
@hieinh 😕😪 wishing u the best lol... it seems like the biggest part of the delay is the actual gamestop waiting to get 20 submissions before they send package to PSA
@@Smokemon07 Nah the status says shipped.
@@hieinh well 😆 then PSA better hurry up lol
@@hieinhSame here, I submitted 4 cards Oct, 29th. Few days later via the Gamestop app i saw it updated to shipped. Nov, 25th and the order is still only saying shipped. Almost a month with no other updates.
Can’t wait to grade my cards at GameStop soon! Nice vid bro 🔥
appreciate it 🙏 how long u been waiting?
I had some crazy pulls this month but… I kind of already blew my monthly budget.. so I’m waiting till December 😂
@@PokeSupremacy 🤣🔥 I know how that goes... prob a good idea to wait a couple weeks anyway
Lets go!! I hope for all 10's
so did I 🤣😪
Question I don’t know if it’s a truth or false I drop off my cards at GameStop for grading submissions the employees told me that until they get 20 cards they send it to psa but on the email GameStop will give me a update in 7 days I an new to psa submission system
im 99% sure that is true... a bunch of people submitted on the same day as me so that wasnt a problem but i believe in my 1st video, Jaye did mention that
Jay should be a special guest
He'll be back 💯
How long did it take to return?
@samuelbanducci2703 less than a month... I mention it specifically in the video, can't remember right now 😕
@@Smokemon07 less than a month! My local shop takes like 2 months or longer!!
J should start he’s RUclips channel
I agree 💯 we trying to figure something out, thanks for the comment
They open the PSA return for you before you get there???
@@aw3017 I assume it’s because they send in bulk orders with multiple people’s cards, it would be unrealistic to need everyone show up at the same time so the GameStop guy can crack the box.
right
Jaye also knew I was coming in so he had the cards ready
We sent ours the same date and yeah mine are still taking forever =/ currently being graded atm
🤮 anny idea if they sat at the store for a long time or if PSA has been slow grading them? cause it seems like tthe "biggest" delay for most people right now is waiting for the gamestop to get 20 submissions so they can send in the cards
Yeah you might as well keep them with those prices makes me wonder what GameStop would sell them at and yeah more J
there will be more Jaye 😊 Gamestop would def sell them for like at least double what they offered me, every offer seemed to be around 50%
⛽⛽⛽⛽! Nice trade my guy just subbed up.
thanks 🙏 appreciate u
Love the video ❤
Appreciate the love 🙏
75$ to gamestop + initial cost to pull those cards, to effectively get 16$ trade in on a 55$ etb? Yeah, no thanks lol.
😂😆 *This is Not Financial Advice lol
Wow!! Thats actually a great turnaround.
upset with the grades but yeah cant be mad at that turnaround
I see PSA 8 or 9's go for thousands of dollars how are these only $50
@stevn744 You realize that just because something is a 9 doesn't mean it's worth the same as every other card that's a 9....right?
Like a base set Charizard 9 is gonna be worth far more than a 10 of an undesirable set.
the older the card, the more money the lower graded cards are worth. Anything printed in last couple years is a loss in an 8 and pretty much even money in a 9. Thats why my Pikachu brought me the biggest profit, although it was only an 8.
Im pretty sure gamestop won't buy cards valued over $100.
so you have you use the sleeves gamestop sells? i just bought some to get my cards graded O_o
😂 i cant say for sure, but in my first experience, they do have to be Ultra Pro. Seems like if u bring your own Ultra Pro sleeves and card savers u will be okay, but dont know about a different company. They made me change mine out
Jaye = Legend
1,000% 🔥
LOL L on gamestop for not wanting the charizard. Thats ridiculous.
😂😆 right..... well, at least they thanked me lol
Did you get Shoe?
maybe
Is Jay a store manager?
Believe his is manager of this store but not the district... tbh i should prob know this answer lol
Hey what date did you place your order?
I think I mentioned it specially in the video but to the best of my memory, something like Oct 19th and got them back Nov 13th
Unless it's vintage..everything in a 9 is raw price. Lower it loses value.
💯 the 9 barely paying for the grading fee.... i got my centering card ready to go, next time I'll get some 10's 🤞
A Bit sadly but very Nice aswell😅
Game Stop does a grading service now?
they partnered with PSA 😊
@Smokemon07 how much do they charge
@DerekL2005 I have a video from last month of me making the submission, if you have time to watch 🙏 but $16/per Max estimate of $200
@@Smokemon07 great I will watch! I have like 5 zard cards I've been wanting to get graded. I think they are the only ones worth doing at that price
@DerekL2005 which zards? I'd say if u think they could have estimated value of like over $1k, u might want to submit them yourself to psa
By far the biggest problem for me was they made me put it in their cardsaver which was so tight it took 15 minutes
@@hanfreeman I felt like I was going to damage my cards doing so
@pja9572 same i had an expensive psa 10 candidate and I had to slam it in
100%, that was a big issue when i first dropped off the cards... someone had to switch out like 15+ cards and put them into them tiny sleeves 🤣😪.... im not too sure how strict they are with the ultra pro sleeves now, but at the beginning it did feel like u had to use them exclusively
everyone did 😪 they could def either let u use your own or get some proper sized sleeves
seems like bulk cost gets you a 9
DUDE 😲 that didnt even cross my mind but i do know PSA usually "hooks up" those that pay for premium services 🤣😪
Why did he have them out of the box
he knew i was coming in so that was part of it, but also there was like 3 or 4 different people returns in that box so they had to open it to divide them up 👍
Does gamestop grade sealed packs?
@@jdweigand45 I doubt it??? Good question 🤔
@Smokemon07 i just won 2 vantage pack from a live box break and want to slabs them
WOW! if they unweighted packs from a box break i would just keep them sealed and ungraded. If they were weighed, than grading might make more sense
Weres is that gamestop i want to grade my cards with that guy chill asf because my gamestop said they dont grade cards only some
😂 its in NJ, yeah only select GameStops are doing the submissions for now
Jay gang! that celebi grade tho...!peeonit
🤣🤣 got smoked on that one, prob shouldnt have traded it in lol
@Smokemon07 you did it for the content. Now I know what to expect when I got get mine in a few weeks
Lessgo!
Why would you pay the money to get a off centered card graded? Anything clearly off centered just sell raw!!!
100% agree with modern cards... things like the Pikachu and more vintage stuff have value even not in a 10. The Celebi was def a waste of money and I took a big hit between getting the 8 and then selling it to GmaeStop for $18 🤣
I'd subscribe to the JaysStop youtube channel.
🤣😂
I dropped my pika last Sunday and it hasn't shipped has me worried, hope it didn't go missing
I took 14 cards to GameStop the other day and was told they don't ship them to PSA until they have 20 cards. Or, if they don't get the 20 cards then every 10 days, they will ship whatever they have
prob just waiting til they get 20
EXACTLY
@@evanhobart10 well thanks, that does make sense gives me some type of piece of mind
You knew it would 9 and still sent it in????
Still gotta take my shot 🤣 at $16/per i wasnt going to lose money regardless
Quite a few people...thousands? Beat you to making uploads of this whole process like weeks ago.
pretty sure i was 2nd to only Leonhart 🤔 I submitted and uploaded on Oct 19th
@Smokemon07 You're really sure? Or is he the only one that you follow that you decided to copy 4 days later?
Either way, congrats on you like 18k views lol 🍆💦
Big unique content creator right here! 😂😂😂
Start a channel Jay!!!
💯, thanks for watching
Game stop sucks, bro got ripped off. They should bring back Kmart and sacrifice all game stops. They know they rip people off.
i dont get the obsession with 10s lol wrather have 7-9s sell much quicker others industries sports cards comics and coins perfects are very rare very over priced i been doing this since 1986 when grading started with coins dont over pay take that lower grade
with modern pokemon cards, there is really no profit to be made outside of a 10. Like the two (9's) I got back barely cover the grading fee, and if i had to incur fees and shipping when i sell the card, it would be a loss... however, older cards like that Pikachu can come back in an 8 and make me more profit than a Newer card in a 9.
Omgw😂
Niccceeee Broooo ❤
Thanks 🔥
brother.. clean that phone screen.. slimy
😂😂 it was a busy day, i tried to cover it up as best i can lol
why in the name of christ are you using a third party to submit cards for grading?
wanted to try out the new process and see how it is 😊 figured it would make a good video lol, plus show my audience the process so they can decide for themselves if they want to submit thru GME or buy the $100 membership and go directly to PSA
