Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) or phytohormones are intercellular intrinsic growth regulatory factors that govern plant development. They include plant growth promoters (auxins, cytokinins and gibberellins) and inhibitor (abscisic acid). Ethylene has dual role but it is mostly inhibitory in nature.
In this video, we have talked about contributions of Charles Darwin/Francis Darwin, F.W. Went, E. Kurosawa, F. Skoog and Miller, H.H. Cousins and other in the discovery of PGRs.
