Infinite, you're talking about how only you can use the Phantom Ruby, but keep in mind that at the end of Mania, Classic Sonic goes through that portal into Forces. BUT the Phantom Ruby went through the portal as well, which is the Ruby that's implanted in your little jackal chest RIGHT NOW! So, think about it; if they never used the Phantom Ruby, Mania wouldn't of happened, the Ruby would never have been sucked into your universe, and you wouldn't have it.
Also FUN FACT: Jackals bark like dogs XD I've seen it. It's amazing.
EDIT: Idk, MAYBE the Chemical Plant Act 2 boss fight is based off of Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine? *The more you know.*
