Unique drums. They do not sound like the other brands
Kits sounds awesome one fat sounding snare right there!!
Awesome Drum-Set, nice to see Premier back in biz. Too bad its not available here in the US (At least in the big retail stores. might have to check out reverb ! )
Kit sounds great and Ged is such an awesome player!
All the kits sound great. Nice finishes, everything looks really well built. Hope you guys have a great re-launch.
"Re-launch"? What happened to them?
@@chipfontaine928, the brand has been kind of lost in the wilderness since 2015. Gear4Music bought the brand and is officially launching product lines of quality drums and trying to rebuild the brand.
@@mbaroneva76 that’s mind blowing that such a huge name in the drum world could have that happen. I am curious to better understand how.
@@chipfontaine928 Unfortunately it was just bad management. Failure to market the product properly. I will never part with my Signias. I’ll put them up against anything out there, magnificent drums.
I had a set of Genistas back in the late 80’s and I loved them. This Elite kit sounds Amazing
Kits looks and sounds incredible. Keep up the great work.
Love these drums❤️
Hell yeah, sounds great. I've been waiting to get my hands on a Premier elite kit....
I really enjoyed this! Great sounding drums and great playing!
Wow they sound incredible.
agree--nice bassy sound and solid.
Ace! Total ledge.
Amazing!
Nice video and great drumming 🥁
Monster sound
Saw Ged with Peter Gabriel in 2002 he was excellent and he's known not just as a fantastic drummer but 'the man who hates football" yes its true. This kits looks and sounds fabulous!
AMAZING, please create bass drum 24.
OK.
These do sound f*cking great.
Ged's a groovemeister. Love Premiers and the Zildjians.
It's a Premier............................
@@123oner2 Surely you're kidding?...surely? lol
@@batphink2655 ha, the other comment listed it as another brand, dispute Premier being in the title and it, um totally just being a Premier kit, haha??!¿
Big beefy round tone!!!
Great sounding kit ( & Ged). Would love to know which studio this is, please.
The last time that I saw Ged was probably in Rhythm magazine yonks ago and I remember that he wore leather hiking boots. Yes Im a nerd 🙂
I have a mid 90's Premier Genista 6 piece with Zildjian A cymbals
Great playing and a great sounding (even if has cheap copy heads) and beautiful looking kit. My only disappointment is that Premier isn’t made in the UK now. If the British Drum Company can manufacture high quality and similar priced kits in the UK, why can’t Premier do the same instead of this legendary brand of the drum world being made in Taiwan..
Not similarly priced though. This shell pack is about $2800 USD. A similar shell pack from BDC will run you no less than $4k USD. I would love for Premier to be built in the UK. But the reality is that it’s not practical for the time being. The Genista 100SE and these sound and look great. For Sub 3k it’s a fantastic value on a new kit. The other fact is that the market is saturated. You can buy a pro level used kit for $1500 all day. They’re competing with that as well. I personally am not bothered by production location. If QC and build quality is good then I hope the best for them.
If you remember not that long ago, Premier did bring back UK production between 2012-2015. It obviously wasn’t as viable as many thought it would be sadly. Most of the worlds brands make either all or most of their ranges in Taiwan and China these days, including all those Japanese companies like Pearl, Tama, Yamaha etc who used to make everything in Japan. I have a few Premier kits made in Taiwan and they are fantastic. Doesn’t make any sense to see the brand disappear just because it’s not made in the UK. The anniversary snare is UK made and if that sells well, then who knows, maybe they will invest more in that direction. If you want the brand to succeed, people need to actually buy Premier products again.
Spot on there Duncan.. I have the rainbow wood Genista and It’s made out in the far east, but is an incredible kit and the build quality/ sound quality is great. If we want the brand to perhaps get bigger and better, with the possibility of being British made again, then we need to buy and support the brand.
My dream 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I wish I could hear these with emperors or g2s.
Is this kit better than Genista? And curiosity…has this one replaced signa?
This is the Elite that sits above the Genista and is their professional line. The Signia was discontinued over 20 years ago?
Who makes the shells?
Very Nice but would like to hear them without pin stripes I bet they’d sing.
is this the highest seri of premiere?
Yes, the Elite is the top line.
Playing for a review isn't like playing to show how good you are. It's more like you were reviewing the cymbals than the drums, I have virtually no idea how the toms sounded.
I’m not impressed by this video. They took what was an actual high end model and cheezed it out. No diecast hoops, cheap heads, badges are generic, color choices are very limited and who knows what else has been sacrificed for profit margin.
Sad sad sad 😢
Judging by the rest of the comments, you are certainly in the minority here. But a few things, they haven’t had die cast hoops on the Elite series since 2014. Also, yes limited colours but these have just launched so no doubt will be added to at some point. But the P badge has been a design feature of Premier drum kits since the 1950s, so it’s hardly out of place here.
Whatever but even with those cheap heads they sound great, just imagine them tuned with Coated or clear Emporers or better yet Evans G2 head and an Aquarian powerkick 2 bass head.
Shouldn’t have to imagine a top of the line kit with better heads. I’ve been a Premier fan for over 30 years. I see and (based on the video) hear a distinct difference in what used to be some of the best drums made period. Elite badges were nice metal script “Premier”
I’ll stay with my older kits for now hopefully Premier will wow me with more features or something better in the future.
NOT Made in ENGLAND. No soul!
drum kit in this price range ( 2,500 pounds) must come with premium heads top and bottom from Remo USA or Evans , not those crapy UT Remo Pinstripes made in China !
Agree, sound a bit dead to me, awesome playing, but proper Remo's would make a world of difference, UT heads just aren't Remo, they're not even made in the same way!
@@MattScales this drums wil sing like crazy with Remo Ambs. or Evans G1 !
I agree that is the only issue with these. But apparently there are supply issues for Remo so that’s maybe why. Also, just to point out the UT are made in Taiwan and are far better than the ones made in China. They use the same film as the US heads but have a different collar.
@@duncanstewart6982 Remo is not the only one , Evans and Aquarian are great too , but that is not the point ! this is not 800 $ Pearl Export or something , drum kits in this price range ( 2,500 british pounds ) must have profesional heads from the factory .
@@ohrid59mk76 if they have supply issues then it might have been the case they had to use these for the launch. They were set on the date of the 22nd October as that was the anniversary. So, like you, I’m hoping this can be addressed later on. But, I don’t even play Remo and the first thing I would do is change the heads, even if they were Remo USA, so it’s not a big issue for most who would do the same.
