I have no idea how these guys do it. The con horror stories I have make me seethe with anger. lol Like the time a convention had the "brilliant" idea to save money and use the Zello app on smartphones instead of getting actual radios. Great idea except when not everyone has a smartphone and you have members of your security staff walking around with 10 inch tablets. Oh did I mention the tablets were wifi only and the building in question had a few dead spots due to brick walls.
Whenever I stress out about how a convention is going, I remind myself that if I fuck up at work, it might get people killed. That really helps keep me from getting too worked up about cons going wrong. 😊
