Seriously though, I think this is a great idea to make people like these characters, a lot of people said they look generic but with the right valve touch they seem pretty cool
This is what Japanese anime fighting games have been doing for years and it's surprising that it took these sort of shooters so much time to do this. It makes perfect sense for Valve to be the one to do it.
It's so exciting to see valve actually making something. If they can personalize the characters to even half as much as they did with the mercs, this will be great.
Fantastic, turns out the only thing that needs to hook me into the absolute cesspool of the moba genre is some good fucking writing and superb voice acting.

Actually a cool idea and way better than something like Crownfall. Shame that the implied complexity and alternative (free) difficult to make cosmetics all but guarantee that either we won't see it in game, won't be made for more than a couple of heroes, or just straight up will be stripped down significantly upon release.

See crownfall for example; way, wayy simpler to make, rewards that don't really correlate with anything from the event, a story that really barely relates to the event dialogue itself... and theyre still late by over 2 months (not counting the entire year it took them to develop). Now imagine them doing this for every new hero. I can't.

The concept of the decisions you make giving you unlocks/changes in the pvp is actually really cool I hope that makes it into the actual game.
