Enabling installations
The proof loading of a permanent mooring system for CALM buoys and FPSOs is critical for a system’s certification. The proof loads are typically 80-100% of the design load so that substantial bollard pull capacity is required. The use of the STEVTENSIONER® for subsea tensioning offers significant cost benefits as it reduces the required load by typically 60%. As a result mooring installations can be performed from modest anchor handlers or crane barges.

I see a video about something I know nothing about, you're damn right I'm going to click on it and learn something.
heck yeah, respect that attitude, you will go places
Yup
Word
True
NHI made HVAC device for bioterrorism in 2007 just for sars covid,,, wonder why the tax funded project hasnt been talked about
You didn’t search for this video, you got it in your recommendations and you are curious enough to click on it. Nice.
@Scott Tim sure I'll grab the club!
Yep!
I just came across this just as it was posted. Lol. And the other guy, who said, "Get out of my head!" This post has long legs.
You didn’t think about this comment by yourself, you took it from another video that was as uncommon, you thought it would be cool so you found a video you thought was strange enough to use it and then you commented. Nice.
@@Hayden____ I did think this comment up by myself, maybe except for the "You didn't search for this video" part. It is a *very simple comment* just stating the obvious, and people like to be reassured of the obvious. I got this video in my reccomendations because of the RUclips algorythm, I know this video will be reccomended to a lot of other people so I left this comment. What intrigues me is why you think it is stolen, so, why *do* you think it is a comment taken from another video?
"Driven piles, suction anchors, even quayside bollards"
Me, knowing none of those words: "Wow even quayside bollards! Impressive"
I love how the order builds up to the most obscure term lmao.
@@twokharacters You should search youtube for the 'retro encabulator'.
@@mainomai Also the original, the turbo encabulator - apparently the source of the invention of the in-ear playback of recorded speech for presenters.
Same here. Somehow it sounded impressive
I don't even own a tanker but was recommended this anyway
You never know what's round the corner. Better keep this for future reference in case you win the lottery !
Monday motivation 👏👏👏
What other colors does it come in?
I'll wait for the RGB version to come out
this is my favorite side of the internet
can it be overclocked?
The first question that come in my mind
Underwater equipment is always yellow. Don't ask me why ...
Damn. Luckily, There’s a pond on my neighbors farm. I’m gonna get 2 of these and get an 80% return on investment. No brainer.
I don't even own a canoe but I think I want one of these...
Don t carry in the canoe if you purchase one
You would need another canoe to carry it.
This thing is larger than a canoe lmao
I shall live vicariously through youtube as a marine engineer.
Totally gonna buy one. My f250 e-brake sucks, and finally I have found a solution
Me: Watched ONE video on how a ship Anchor works.
RUclips: Oh, you are working in the industry?
this is SO true😂😂
Finally a tool to install my mooring lines for my fleet of battleships!
15 second in and i haven't understood one word yet
4:11 and I still don’t know what it’s purpose is
Come on man. Get your quayside bollards together.
I'd like to learn more about the benefits of working with Vryhof. As long as this guy narrates it! Such a soothing voice.
What luck! I'm in need of some serious stevtensioning.
You had me at "it can be airlifted"
I'll have my pet parrot swing by and grab one- this is just what my pirate ship needs
I've read all the comments, none explain what's really happening
pull up on expensive metal brick make mud scoop go dig
I am left-handed. Do you have that type? I also would like to order an anchor, the type that makes less noise when it's being lowered
You'll be wanting the Stevtensioner-Pro™ package.
Man that camera operator must be really good at holding their breath!
maybe they trained a fish to do it or something.
Do they contain peanuts? Because my grandson is allergic to peanuts so I'm not sure whether I should buy him one for his 11th birthday...
Exelent solution to keep your son away from the peanuts. Upto 40% less chance of alergic reactions ( when not considering friction losses that is)
Oh I think I get it . Instead of pulling upward on the chain , it pulls inward when on tension . Giving a more secure holding .
It doesn't necessarily increase the strength of the anchorage. The term "proof-load" that was used in the video means to test and see how anchored the anchor really is. It is sort of like if you build a floor then walk on it to test the strength of the floor you are "loading" that floor with your weight to "prove" that it is a good solid floor. The anchor in the video needs to be able to hold a certain amount of weight so they "proof-load" the anchor with that weight and if it holds tight you're in like Flynn. The benefit of this device is that you can anchor and then proof load all in one operation.
Close. You're forgetting the lack of reverse bungle load on the sprangle end of the collimator which is one of the main benefits of this design.
My name is steve....and I really don't need any more tension that I already have, thank you!
Really neat to see some of the processes for anchoring . Cool to see companies working hard to make things more efficient , so more time can be spent elsewhere .
finally, a gift idea for that hard-to-please person on your list, aka wife
You might want to get the vibrating version...
As a necklace?
I'm building something like this for my tow truck, great idea. Lockable, controllable horizontal movement when you're limited only to a vertical option.
Im as anxious as a nun in a cucumber patch
Need one or two in my bathroom. Available on Amazon?
lightweight and portable! only 50 tons!
It's an ingenious "chain ratchet". A bit large for anything I might need but an impressive bit of kit.
Why no Amazon affiliate link?
This makes a lot of sense for my mooring applications
Underrated video
If i wasn't as drunk as I am, I might understanmd this video
I'm sober and I still don't understand !
You don’t have to be drunk to not understand it. But it’s very interesting and I enjoyed the entire video. I’m going to get one for my wife.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪
at the end of the day its and advertisement for the STEVTENSIONER
@@kirkyorg7654 Well it sold me. Where are they made and what’s the currency exchange rate?🤣🤪
despite not knowing this device existed, ive used the principle of its operation to move things on pallets up to a ton in weight. funny how science is universal in scale. unlike religion.
I have no idea what's going on here, but I know that I need an advanced vessel for a bollard pull and this technique being showcased here allows for less advanced vessels which I guess translates to savings and efficiencies? I think I got it.
What a time to start a sea-based industrial empire when I'm just a model-train maker.
Thanks RUclips. I've been looking for one of these... O0 lol
Sounds good man I’ll take 3. All I need now is a boat
Didnt know I needed to know this!
i am a smart guy and the number of words in this video that i don’t recognize that i don’t recognize is damn astonishing
Maybe you're not a smart guy.
Can dis be used for all kinds of vessels? If yes, can I secure my nuclear Submarine with it?
"Portable and lightweight" yes those are words I thought of immediately when I saw foot thick steel plates and shackles I could fit through.
I had exactly the same reaction to that line! Next they're gonna tell us its air droppable too 😂
Then again considering a lot of other industrial equipment....i imagine it is pretty portable. And in fairness everything is air droppable at least once 😉
Pretty slick video for a weird steel sea-pulley
I want 2 !!! One for the weekend 🤠.
extremely good visual 10/10
50 tons is definition of portable and lightweight.
I don’t think this will fit in my tool box.
I don't think it would fit in my car !
Next time I'm anchoring undersea cables I'm definately using this.
This looks fantastic, but will it work with the trolley system on my kayak???
Obviously someone had a need to develop this technology, and I’m glad they did.
I bet his name was Steve. 🤔
*Stev
@@gr8fulhiker785 yes
Will it work with my rowboat?
Is it equipped with Bluetooth or WiFi?
It HAS to be - they said it relays data from a measuring pin, and I see no Ethernet cabling...
I have no idea what is happening, but it looks cool.
Ah yes thx youtube you solved a problem I didn't have until about 2 minutes ago
Sweet! Maybe I'll buy one as a paperweight.
One underwater Job i Never saw But Good Video
Feels like a car jack working. Allowing a person to lift a heavy car by dividing the work and use of leverage.
Having watched it, I'm none the wiser !
I like your funny words, magic man!
I need this for my surfboard
So where can I get one of these?
Let's agree, if used in a certain manner this thing that I know nothing about could be used to free the ship currently stuck in the Suez canal
If pulling 2 mooring lines simultaneously, are the 2 lines move together? or only the active one?
This sounds like retroturboencabulator to me. I wasn't so lost in a long time.
I'll have 30 of these thanks
I'll have to keep this in mind when I buy a multi million dollar ship with a crane
I need this to properly moor my rowboat 🚣♂️
Yea but will it fit my Honda?
Good explanation!
I didnt search for this video
Time to change degree from Civil to Maritime Engineering I guess.
I didn't know I wanted to know about this. Thanks youtube
yeah thats great. I think I'm going to get one
I can make my own Stevtensioner (R) now :P
Simple design and efective.
I’d like to place an order
Thanks, RUclips. Now if I ever need to install mooring spreads, I know just who to turn to
What's happeneing
They had me at quayside bollards
I'll take two!
How does the integral load pin measurement transmit?
it’s the length of the moment arm multiplied by the sheer strength
Bluetooth
By wire or by acoustics (Kongsberg HiPAP system of the vessel), depending on waterdepth.
@@remmerv Thank you
@@remmerv ...so you have to keep the batteries charged. DAMMIT, on more thing?!?
Does it work on my 20 foot pontoon boat?
Did they hire the Kurzgesagt voice?
Call Sergio Bacci from Brazil, he will buy it.
To me it sounds like there is a guy somewhere in Sweden called "Sven Stevtensioning"...
How did I got here?
I want one, I can't use it nor need it.
Very interesting. But the music was too loud
I should have waited for the newer model to come out
I’ll buy 4
Thanks, but I prefer to hire 4 tugboats to help me anchor my yacht.
-Elon
I don't get it.
Never mind, save up your pennies and you may one day !
I have no idea what this video was about. I'll take 20.
Do these work on girlfriends?
* fewer vessels (not less vessels)
Cool
So it was a big ratchet strap
I wuz "like number 1000" ya'll!!!! oh yeah!!!!
what a mooring?
Iam going to get one because you never know 🤔
Idk how or why this was recommended to me
