Such a bittersweet ending for them...
That piano scene killed me 😢
This episode beat us up straight in the feels... 🥺😭
It was just so great... The scene where Rory is creating a devil face still gives me chills... Such a great parallel to s5 ep11 where Lucifer was protecting his Dad.
Don't worry, everybody who watched this ep for the first time is crying, it's a normal reaction. Especially in their last piano scene 🥺😭 Interesting fact that was the last scene Lauren was shooting with Tom (the very last scene was done earlier), and that reaction from her was natural... Tears were genuine 😭😭😭
That ending was just so perfect, I loved every moment of it 👍👏 I was so relieved at the all of stories. And that final reunion was amazing, I screamed out of joy when saw it 🥰😍❤️ Also the therapist part OMG ☺️😁 I laughed so hard at that 🤣
And finally Lucifer got real doors, not an elevator lol 🤣 Also what a parallel between the last scene of this episode and the last scene of pilot 👍

I was scared to watch the ending as well. I am sad, but not disappointed.
I really think this was about the only way it could end......Chloe gets a long life with Trixie, Rory, & everyone else AND she gets a happily ever after with Lucifer. I really tried not to think about what I wanted for DeckerStar this season. There was only 2 things I REALLY REALLY wanted from this season. I wanted Ella to find a good guy and I'm so glad we got that with Carol. More importantly though, the thing I wanted most of all was to see Dan in Heaven with Charlotte. I'm over the moon that happened.
And no need to apologize for the crying. I rarely cry ever. Trixie got me in the last episode & the last 15 min of this one I was a mess.
Thanks for hanging in there until the end. They teased _"selfless acts"_ and a _"bittersweet ending"_ and they weren't wrong.
I especially loved that final callback to Season 1, just changing one word:
_"Thought you could use a _*_friend"_*
to
_"Thought you could use a _*_partner"_*
Someone pointed out that woman in Lucifer's session in hell was the girl in S1E1 who bullied Trixie. Lucifer did warn her _"There's a special section in hell for bullies."_
Well, Lucifer did pick some of the _"easier"_ cases for this session. Imagine him having to counsel, let's say, Doyle who murdered Father Frank, the warden who murdered Chloe's dad, or ... -Eve's oldest son- __ or how about his brother -Michael- ?
So you are telling that this woman was Trixie's bully? OMG 🤣
Also I just love how he is helping Linda's ex and Lameck to overcome their guilt, I mean both tried to kill him, both killed innocent people. Plus actor who played Lameck is so damn funny 🤣 And I personally think that Reese's case is not so easy, because 40 years on Earth passed (in Hell it was few billions of years I guess), and he still didn't overcome his guilt.
And I also liked that callback to s1 and parallel to the very first episode
About the mean girl in pilot. I thought the same that it will be great to bring back the mean girl. However, the showrunners did say in an interview(rather long one, about an hour and a half) that that three persons on the couch represents past(Reese), present(LeMac) and future(the woman), which means Lucifer does not choose who to help or heal, but simply help everyone

You know, if they were to do a Season 7 they could play into the fact Lucifer only promised he'd stay away from Rory, to let her think she grew up without him. But he didn't say he'd stay out of Chloe's life. They could still meet up in secret and he could still help her from the shadows. They do have friends in the know who could provide cover - and now I've got the song "Undercover Angel" playing in my head.
This series just managed to feel so real, it’s incredible.

I know I will miss it too. The writers did such a good job on this show that you just don’t want it to end.
He should've called her Chloe at the end when he opened the door
I hope the showrunners can get a spin-off or movies. I liked Rory and I want see more of her and her family in other realms. The only thing I am sad is we didn't get a family reunion, or Lucifer with Rory and Trixie on Earth.
A few thoughts about that _"ending"_ -- the longest part of the entire series -- ~50 years long would be my estimate, assuming Chloe died in her 90s:
+ I loved the fact that four romantic interests in Lucifer's life, Maze, Linda, Chloe, and Eve were together to welcome Rory, especially that kiss on the cheek between Chloe and Eve. (They had interesting chemistry, like when Eve protected Trixie and Chloe hugged and thanked her, and that look of horror on Eve's face, in 5x16, when -Michael- __ impaled her.)
+ I'm guessing that there was some period of _"time"_ (if that exists in heaven) between Chloe's death and her reunion with Lucifer for her to visit people in heaven: Dad John, (likely) Mom Penelope, Dan, Charlotte, maybe even Father Frank. (Although I hate to think of it, some say _Beatrice Espinoza,_ aka Trixie, died before Chloe.) Chloe could finally *HUG* Dan! _(ChloDan_ never died!)
Now that Lucifer finally has his *partner* (and LOML) back, perhaps he can take a vacation to visit heaven, too.
Please don't apologize...well girl I had the exact same reaction. But thankfullu I had chocolate and tissues next to me.
They even ended it with the prophecy when Lucifer meets his first love hell will be released and hell is beginning to be released from its eternal torture because they're able to grow past it now that lease of her is helping them instead of torturing them.
So the mercs know they're dealing with real angels... and they still think its a smart plan to piss off Lucifer? Oh sure, they plan on killing him but think it through guys: There's an afterlife - if the devil dies he only goes home, to hell where he'll be waiting for them to join him when THEY die.
IKR?!? How freaking stupid would they have to be???
4:15 "That'd be too easy, wouldn't it?" They were not going for the logic, but for the long explanation. Lucifer could have called Amenediel, stop time, rescue Rory, tie the kidnappers, and beat them to a pulp before returning that guy to jail. Happy ending, but that would make the episode 5 minutes long.
That was the point. It's really could be too easy. He had to go through this, to help her, to prevent her killing that guy and creating devil face to understand his calling, and also for her returning to the past. He couldn't change every single event
Man it was kinda sad that Lilith's immortality wore off from the ring, with amenadiel's necklace Chloe is basically a Lucifer 2.0, immortal and super strength
Was a good episode
Not going to lie this ending was just way to sad (the deckerstar part anyway) for me. It wasn't enough for me that they got to reunite after she died. They got a total of 2 happy months together finally a couple and then had to split up. Just too damn sad!
