I am sure you know this Mike but you are lucky to still have your Dad with you in your shop. I am 56 and would kill to have mine in my shop now but lost him when I was 20 back in 87. He was a trucker starting back in the 60's and drove for Emerson Electric making trips into Canada back in the day. Glad yours is still around.
Mike good morning from Adelaide Sat 8am the Duke is the best I love bonnetted, trucks looking out over the bonnet is cool view ,I've driven Ford LOUIEVILLE, international S lines but we didn't get Peterbuilt in many numbers here in Australia .He now needs some good shiny wheels ,maybe put that cat in the cab to catch the mice LOL ,great seeing Dad there he is a wonderful addition to your channel ,you are very lucky he shares your passion for trucks ,so thanks for the cheerful start to my weekend Mate Cheers Kym Adelaide
Hey Mike, you should have check the oil,JUST SAYING OK!!! DUKE is look good!! I just love seeing you & dad working together , great times!! Stay safe!!👍👌🎓
I second the idea of you building a concrete pad for Duke, on the side of the garage! However, i say put a carport over the new concrete pad, also...if you were to build it!
Great video Mike Duke is looking good. Darn mice always getting into stuff they shouldn't. But your on it to clean Dukes interior and then its all good stay safe Mike.
Mike, love the video's you give to us. Thank you. I hope that you will consider putting aluminum wheels on Duke. That would really make it look amazing! Thanks again
Definitely move the tanks and add the steps. Maybe a shiny headache rack, stacks, and aluminum rims . Even though it aint a Cabover, Dukes a cool project.
it is amazing what a buffer and some SOlvol Autosol can do for aluminum, the grill ring would not take that long and look like chrome when you are finished,
no no not that i think huge stacks on them trucks looks stupid i,m old school but what u do need is a huge cement pad beside and in front of that garage keep up the great work mike
You just need to add a Freightliner and an International to the Cabover family, seeing as you have Petebilt and Kenworth in the fleet. Duke is looking cool though, your Pops is right, looks like a logging truck. Get the front mudflaps on Duke and you’ve cracked it.
Check the oil? Bah! Oil is highly overrated. 😙 That is some wicked soft ground! 😮 Directions? What are directions? Oh, yeah, those things my wife gives to me and I ignore. 😆 The new visor looks great! Not too big, not too small, not too much drop, just right. New headlights look good too. Another great thing about LED's is they have a lower current draw than incandescent, halogen or HID.
He s looking good Mike great job looks mean and ready to rock let s roll yes straight pipe are the way to go and a tool box too can.t wait till next week to see what u get yourself into 😂😂😮 take care
That is a sweet looking rig. Are you going to polish the fuel tanks? Those are some pretty lame looking mud flaps. What's the distance between yoour new house and the shop/ old house?
A little "air out my feelings moment" .... why don't they do something at the factory when its known that all vehicles are just rolling mouse homes... a rodent residentery so speaking. At least install mouse and other rodent traps that can be cleaned occasionally. Its a bugger to keep a small fleet clean of them and no matter how often you chase them out, another one is moving in in another spot. I left my doors open when I parked my rigs near home in our building and fed my ferial cats in on the floors. It was pretty darn good for the most part with just a bit of cat hair to clean out once in a great while. I had just installed all of a interior in one rig, took it on a maiden voyage out to a logging site... came back from eating lunch with those guys and swapping lies... heard something that kind of caught my attention so blew it off. Next day was a holiday and so going to give er a shine for the early next day outing... might as well hook up a new speaker I got and guess what... a mouse house was already started in that location!! Come on guys who decide what is next in fixing our rigs to get a million miles on a single charged battery that fits in your pocket... ya, sell that to the guy next door who owns the Brooklyn bridge. Your on the right tract to get all those liners down and clean out those sob's before its really bad again.
Thick white smoke is water but transparent white smoke is unburnt fuel, I spoke to one of our engine guys and he thinks its just sticky vva heads or injectors from lack of use. his recommendation was to put some fuel conditioner in and make it work.
Hi Mike. Yeah it's a little bit soft🙃 Shell Rotella T-6 15w40 or T-5. Hey Mike on the drivers side next to the visor did you notice the bubbles in the paint? Oh and you have a cracked passenger window, said the smart-ass commenter from eastern Oregon, BTY nice lumber truck.😁 Looks Great Mike, but I thought you said you were going to your shop to change tires?
I see a future episode of Mike the truck nut. Where Mike pours a concrete pad to keep Duke from sinking into the ground.
Exactly what I was thinking too.
Yeah I was thinking that too!

Lost my only parent and mother right before my 19th bday in 2021 I understand
I agree with your dad, no straight pipes. I like it quiet. Just the right visor slant.
We need to see more of your dad working with you in the shop this episode was brilliant with your dad

The visor is what it needed. Looks cool.
We have something in common Mike. The shirt and we both love The Duke. The look is AWESOME👍👍
#grumpyforlife 👊😎

Hey Mike, you should have check the oil,JUST SAYING OK!!! DUKE is look good!! I just love seeing you & dad working together , great times!! Stay safe!!👍👌🎓
Thanks Charles, dad is a legend 🙌
I second the idea of you building a concrete pad for Duke, on the side of the garage! However, i say put a carport over the new concrete pad, also...if you were to build it!
Polishing the grille will give Duke more bling!!
Duke is looking great. Well done. The visor suits it.
That new visor looks really sharp!!. More bling for Duke!!
Duke is looking nice with that new visor and lights
Thanks Jim 😊
Good video Mike thanks for making it.
Duke is looking good I see your dad is making progress on stubby.
Visors are not easy. Great job Mike. Truck looks sharp! Thanks.
Looking better all the time, once that grill surround gets polished, aluminum buds put on and the frame painted, and it will be absolutely fabulous.
Yes sir... slow and steady its coming together
Duke gettin beautiful every second love it mike
Straight pipe with old school flappers. Mudflats on the bumper. Looking good Mike keep up the mahi (hard work)
Nice new headlights too!!
Trucks looking good Mike some chrome rims all round would suit it off nicely and another air cleaner
8 inchers for stacks. What a look that will give it!!!
Looking good Mike, nice bit of progress!
Thanks Graeme
Aluminum rims Mike, and more with your Dad !
You are a very good driver and have obviously been at it a long time to get that unstuck as easily as you did without damage
Yes you do 👍
Great video Mike Duke is looking good. Darn mice always getting into stuff they shouldn't. But your on it to clean Dukes interior and then its all good stay safe Mike.
that looks great Mike. thats a huge improvement
Nice, Mike.
The Sound of the Tubo from Duke its only great.
Mike, you are such a nice guy I thought you were going to say a few words over the corpse 🐁
Mike, love the video's you give to us. Thank you. I hope that you will consider putting aluminum wheels on Duke. That would really make it look amazing! Thanks again
Ohh it's happening...
new visor makes truck look very nice
Duke is the best looking truck you got right now until smoky is done then I will probably change my mind 😊
Ohh I xant wait to get smokey painted one day. The new interior looks amazing. I should share a sneak peak.
Nice smooth shifting their Mike👍🏼
Thanks Randy 🙂
Definitely move the tanks and add the steps. Maybe a shiny headache rack, stacks, and aluminum rims . Even though it aint a Cabover, Dukes a cool project.
Thanks, yeah it's a nice change at times.
Mike ❤ Love That Visor On Duke Keep Up the good work Billy Lizza Uniontown pa
Thanks Billy
Hay Mike. Duke is looking great. Would look great with shorter, bigger pipes on it 😀.
its fine mike... no worries
Thanks James
Duke is looking great Mike!
Thanks.
Great job mike you didnt do your stear tyres
Not yet ... I was going to go get steers today but didn't have my pickup.
I think the painted rims look pretty sharp with the chrome. But that's only my opinion.
More of your Dad… ‘talking to yourself again’… Years of knowledge and wisdom!
Amen to that.
Like what you are doing with the truck , the lights are cool looking and probably better to light up the road at night.
it is amazing what a buffer and some SOlvol Autosol can do for aluminum, the grill ring would not take that long and look like chrome when you are finished,
Now it's time to polish the grill surround, that will make it pop.
Duke looks great!
I like the pipes the way they are, does not need straight pipes.
no no not that i think huge stacks on them trucks looks stupid i,m old school but what u do need is a huge cement pad beside and in front of that garage keep up the great work mike
Hi Mike, looks good, I think it would look better with bigger stacks, give it a more aggressive look.
And straight ones without mufflers
You just need to add a Freightliner and an International to the Cabover family, seeing as you have Petebilt and Kenworth in the fleet.
Duke is looking cool though, your Pops is right, looks like a logging truck. Get the front mudflaps on Duke and you’ve cracked it.
i am glad to see the cheif inspector and supervisor was keeping an eye on you. that way it gets done right with less shenanigans..
Would have been nice to know the size of the new visor???? Guessing 14”??? Brand?
wider steer tires and big straight pipes would look awsome on the truck
Check the oil? Bah! Oil is highly overrated. 😙
That is some wicked soft ground! 😮

Hey mike! Love good old duke. My dad is going to go to Texas with you Tuesday! Greg tutt. Hope you guys have fun there!
Awesome !!
I plan to try and vlog it all. Fingers crossed it works
@@mikethetrucknut Hope to see that on the channel! fingers crossed!

Good job Mike that truck is looking so coooooool. Need to add some chicken lights lol
Duke is a cool truck! 😎
Thanks Gary. I love giving it a new lease on life
😂 might be the valve guides, ah maybe i should have check it for oil first, the reaction on his face is so funny, i have to repeat the clip🤣🙈
Looks great Mike!
That is a sweet looking rig. Are you going to polish the fuel tanks? Those are some pretty lame looking mud flaps. What's the distance between yoour new house and the shop/ old house?
looking good, don't forget a bug catcher.
I'm on the fence for that one. 🤔
Any episode with Dad in it is a Good one . we nead update on Dads truck ???
Looking marvel's 😎👍.
I AM SURPRISED YOU GOT THE SCREWS OUT OF THE HEADLIGHT BUCKETS, MINE BROKE OFF
Yeah I was thinking I should have never seized them for the future
Duke needs a chrome bug deflector
I'm on the fence with that. It would make rhe hood look taller 🤔
💯

Looking good 👍
Man he sounds great 👍
Good excuse for concrete now, Mike.
😎👍
If you look at the 4:31 mark you can see Mike's wife getting a new purse lol
😂
Did you ever try the Irish spring soap for the mouse issue? Heard it works
Yeah I have some in the shop
Got to love your captain obvious dad he’s great let’s u mess up then tells u how u should have done it
Isn't white smoke from coolant in the cylinders? Blue would be from an injector cup leaking, correct me if I'm wrong
Thick white smoke is water but transparent white smoke is unburnt fuel, I spoke to one of our engine guys and he thinks its just sticky vva heads or injectors from lack of use. his recommendation was to put some fuel conditioner in and make it work.
Mike, if you will indulge another question, Is the 389X available with the short hood ❓ Thanks.
I dont think so no
Needs some 315 steer tires and aluminum wheels
315s would be sic 👌
do you think you could get Andrea to polish that grill?
🤣

Shell isn't sponsoring me yet so... its Cheveron lol. I did notice the bubbles in the paint 😬
Yes you should have 😅
Looken good Mike
I like the origanal viser better,,but it,s not my truck.I don,t understand the need to cover the windsheilds now.
Hey Mike. I guess you need to change your intro. You are still Peterbilt Mike at 0:51. 😅
Lol I totally missed that. I was even looking at it thinking I should get a new Pic of low n slow but I'm thinner and less fat in that picture LOL.
He will always be peterbilt Mike!
Are you putting aluminum budds on?
Yep
Sounds like it has a slight miss at idle to me but hard to tell off a video
Did Peterbilt delete frame color choice paint option ❓
No but it will push it back in the schedule at this time
Shine up the grill and you are going to be styling and profiling 😂
It seems like Jerry spend his last days in Duke…😂
Probably need to start with some concrete work safe all the trucks from sinking and getting stuck and easy to wash down
that would be fantastic
Mike you look at those injectors on duke
Watermelon lights would look good
Ohhhh yeah
U going to put a cb radio in Duke
i was thinking about it
First thing you got to do is fixed your yard before you’re wife finds out but you do have nice trucks
When you gonna put K2 inside? A lot of time you said i put em in but stil...
I think I should bring it in and kick Kenny outside. Just need to get the Trans in stubby
@@mikethetrucknutdo not kick Kenny!🤣
what happened to changing the tires?? next time.....lol
the glass just told you thats way they say to drill them out lmao.
Lol yeah🤦♂️
Mike, take it from a driver.... Never Ever put used tires on the steer axle, always use new.
Looks perfect and its still functional, not a fan of the ones with a big drop. Its the fad right now that to will hopefully go away.
