  • Jennifer and Pumps are joined by olympic figure skater and the self-proclaimed American sweetheart, Adam Rippon. The three talk about how Tanya Harding had absolutely HAD IT with Nancy Kerrigan, Adam's run-in with the boogeyman and how Pumps believes she has to get bangs at age sixty. Jennifer expresses her deep distain for inspirational quotes and the whole gang plays a hilarious round of "Had It or Hit It?"

In defense of ass in, nose out parking:
It’s a lot safer when you have a larger vehicle because when you go to back in, you pretty much have full view of the situation, but if you back out, you can’t see what’s on the ground. It’s important for protecting little kids from getting run over. It’s how you are trained when you have a government vehicle.

  • @declan3673
    @declan3673 Год назад +10

The reason to reverse park is that it's easier. Every car makes sharper turns in reverse. So it's safer, easier (especially if you have a backup camera), and you can park more centrally in the spot :) I was taught to always reverse park and it's much better than forward parking in my opinion

Someone has probably commented in the past few months but "ass in nose out" was taught in driver's ed (at least here in Europe) as a safer option, because you can see better when you're going out. But in reality I feel like almost no one can be bothered to maneuver backwards into a spot because it's a nightmare and someone is always waiting for you to park so they can go past you

The "Everything happens for a reason" pisses me off!!! My Mom is famous for using this quote at all the wrong times. We had a Pit Bull that was the sweetest thing and adored my daughter from the time I got pregnant. We did everything we could to ready him for her coming home...as far as my husband bringing the blanket she was wrapped in at birth so he would know her smell! ❤
They were besties from day one and my Mom hated Jager because he was a Pittie. A few years later, unfortunately he got into a small amount of anti-freeze and there was nothing the Drs could do 😢. When I let my Mom know what had happened..."Well, everything happens for a reason." From then on, I told her she wasn't allowed to speak of Jager around Chris. I've had it with my Mother!!!
Thank for giving a platform to air our grievances!!

As a Ford F150 driver let me clarify the F150 ass in/nose out: It's much easier to ass an F150 into a parking spot than it is to nose in. also, it's much easier to nose out into traffic than to ass out. Also, no matter which way you park, you still have to back up at some point.

My partner used to work for a vehicle insurance company and he said it was mandatory that all staff reverse park for a safety reason because if you need to leave in a hurry it is more efficient. The last time I reversed my car was in my driver's test 20 years ago. I just prefer being less stressed. I like to look for a park where you can just drive through so you are parked nose out.

to act as if backing into a space doesn’t create ease of exiting is denial. not only do i back in, i will pull through empty spots in public so i’m backed in because leaving a spot is 1) faster 2) easier to see. you’re either causing a hold up while backing out or causing a hold up backing in. i’d also argue if you’re good at backing in, it’s faster than backing out because there’s less hesitation involved. a hill i will die on… love y’all tho 💀🤣

I work as a hostess at a restaurant so I have front row seats to the comedic entertainment of parking skills. The single row on the curb is where most people back in the space. Most of them are either waiting for someone else or have a SUV or a truck. They normally park correctly and within the lines. It's the ones that pull in forward that are the worst. Their either crooked, taking up two spaces, park way too close to the car next to them or don't pull up closer to the curb.

Despite the fact that this video was 10 months go... I'm going to hash over this (we all love to do it)... Reversing into a carpark is much easier when you're limited on space. Going in forwards requires a big arc to be able to align with the spot. Going in backwards just means pulling up and turning in! In Japan its ass in nose out most places, and I love it. I actually find it much easier to park, especially with all the reverse parking technology. I think it is safer in a busy parking lot to back in, because everyone around is more aware of people/car location. So many people pull out backwards without even looking in America.

  • @StuartBelote

Backing into parking reasons: with the use of backup cameras, you can center your car easier, pull closer the other vehicle without hitting it, park easier in smaller parking spaces, especially with a van ot truck because being able to swing the front left or right makes adjustment easier. You state that it takes longer to park, but if your car, truck, or van has a long wheel base. You will often have to adjust due to getting too close to one of the vehicles on either side. Your rear wheels will be inside of your front wheels.
    Just saying.

The biggest reason for my habit of parking “ass in nose out” haha is that I am from Hawaii. We have very small and condensed parking lots in general so parking nose in is very tedious to do unless you want to do like a 3 point wiggle in and out of the stall. The easiest and usual thing to do when parking on Oahu is “ass in nose out” 😅

Funny thing is I live in the south where these so-called proper southern women my age have those hairdos of the 50s. I am here to defend the people who back in to park (myself included lol)! As someone who lives in the Midwest and drives a tiny car, I’VE HAD IT with being surrounded by oversized trucks and SUVs (most of which aren’t even driven by farmers/laborers or people who actually need such a large vehicle). It’s much less of a hassle to back in while parking! And since I do insist on backing in every time, I try to park as far away as I can so I’m not blocking anyone or having to navigate around pedestrians and other cars pulling in/out.

personally the whole ass in nose out situations depend on what the parking lot is like space and layout wise and how crowded it might be when i leave and is it easier to reverse now or later? at my old job the lot was only big enough for one car to drive through at a time and half the time them fat ass trucks with a bbl are taking up too much room so i always backed in if i could.

I worked for ups and they drilled the back first daily. It’s safer to back first because you can see no one is in the spot. You can’t see cars or people walking behind you car as well.

I reverse into parks but I will admit it is because I suck at parking forward into spaces.

My neighbors park at the top of my driveway only across the street and I've had some pretty close calls. I've had it with that s***.

Any professional driver will tell you that it is the safest practice to back IN and pull OUT opposed to pull IN and back OUT. Look it up.

I am a nose-in type. I am short, so I cannot see the front and rely on the side and rear view mirrors to see what is happening so that I can park easily. #WatchingFromSouthAfrica

I'm late on this episode but I'm only ass in nose out at certain parking lot scenarios. My local Wells Fargo is a pain in the ass to back out of with traffic coming at both ends. So it's easier to get out of there if I park ass in. I can see who's coming and going. I will also pull through parking spot from time to time and so it looks like I'm an ass in parker.

Backing in, and pulling out is safer.
