- Presenting 3 traditional Shaolin Boxing that we have learnt at Shaolin Temple: Qixing Quan, Xiao Luohan Quan, Xiao Hong Quan. By Shaolin Temple Yan Bo Shifu.

Shaolin Lohan + Xinyiba are the greatest treasures of Shaolin Quan.
When the Master speaks, he is so humble; when he shows his kung-fu, he is so forceful!
The softest thing in the universe overcomes the hardest thing I. The universe. Humility is the foundation of greatness. Compassion is the basis of morality. Fear is the mother of morality. Art, morality + self-mastery are the only way to salvation for mankind. Man is the crudest animal. A simple test of the claim that pleasure outweighs pain in this world is to compare the feelings of the animal that is devouring another animal to those feelings of the animal that is being devoured.
I think African people should explore their own traditional boxing.
That Xiao Luo Han Quan is jaw dropping powerful!

i really enjoyed this video and hearing you're proverbs though i am only a student of shotokan i have always wanted to learn shaolin only there is no where that teaches it here i live in the northern most arctic desert of alaska but i am always loyal to my training and i appreciate all martial arts
Greetings Alaska! Thanks for sharing your experiences. Shaolin kungfu knows no borders. And it's true that my Shifu is very inspiring with his words. You can check out the other videos I posted. Keep up your practice of martial arts and I hope that someday you will realise your dream of learning Shaolin kungfu.

Alexandra Ho Well, actually I don't. I did yoga for one month, but I'm not doing any particular exercise now. I have a kind of yearning for a strong body, but my body is very short of flexibility.. so I think I should start from a simple stretching ^^;
Seulgi Oh Yes start simple and build on it. You can try Qi Gong - Ba Duan Jin, Wu Qin Xi (the 5 animals), etc. Easy and do-able. Stretching is good, and goes a long way to your general health and well-being. Wish you all the best in your quest :)

Kung fu requires an insane amount of flexibility. Shaolin don't consider you flexible until you can touch the tip of your nose to your big toe.

QiXing quan very similar to the one I learned. Only real difference being the Luohan flower palm movements being a clear and wrist strike in my form.

Is he originally from Indonesia, Malaysia, Fujian or Taiwan? One of these places? The accent sounds like it.
:O this is soooo amazing. I like the Chinese proverbs Yanbo shifu gave. :) I'm practicing circus and the proverbs is absolutely right. Would love to learn this some day! This is the Shaolin temple in Henan right? When you applied for it, do you get to know who is gonna be your instructor/shifu?Yan Bo shifu seems nice! How many months did you study there and which course did you take? Do they take foreign students who can't speak Mandarin well?
+Cannie Lieu Hello, wow practising circus is also very hard. Thank you for watching, yes it is the Shaolin temple in Henan. I was there on invitation in the context of a cultural exchange between Africa & China, not sure if they have actual courses you can apply within the temple though. If you have the chance, do visit the Shaolin Temple - it's open for tourists, you'll like it! Take care and bon courage in your circus practice!
+Alexandra Ho I've never thought of going to China for travel before but after finding out about the Shaolin Temple in Henan, it's in my bucket list to visit :D Would be great if I could learn something from there too. www.learnkungfuinchina.com/index.html I actually found this website but I'm not sure if it's the same Shaolin Temple as yours. It's also in Henan. Do you think they are the same? :O Although I did find the official shaolin temple website. Not sure if this is another one of it.

"All kung fu originates from shaolin" not true it's true that a good portion of them can trace their origins to shaolin but not all forms of kung fu are shaolin descended
