go to a research station, build epic a gun. mount the gun and systems on a block and shoot it, take the loot. do this again and again. its just simple weapon duplicating. i made a railgun with 5,6k atk, 10km range and 37% shield ignore, after x times researching.
Equipment station' stocks aren't saved, they're generated every time the sector is loaded into memory. Effect: The station restocks after a player leaves the sector for at least 5min or server restarts.
Around 4:50 this is not true and never has been. Quality does matter because weapon material types are great against any material lower than them and ok to good vs the same. Quality enhances this further by more of a generous crit system and on average a naonite would have a higher dps than titanium due to the quality being better; even if the titanium is showing almost twice the base damage while shooting at the same material type hull. My team and I tested this with almost same base stated weapons for all material types. The exceptions are legendaries due to their enhanced bonus crits over time and if lower material for a target you can almost double that enhancement bonus . All subject to change given how fast the game might change ;) Great video btw!
When you research, it's actually better to insert 3, cause you can reuse prev. tier Look: 5 MT => 100% HT 3 MT => 60% HT + 40%MT, eq 2.6 MT => 0.6 HT So, when you use by 5, 1 HT = 5 MT, by 3: 1 HT = 4.(3) MT
How do you find avorion metal? The highest I got to so far after 70 hours of playing is xanion. There seems to be some kind of rift blocking travel into the middle, Im thinking I have to get in there somehow.
Does the same type of weapon increase the chance of output in the research or doesn't that count? It's cause i'm collecting the same types atm to 5 before going to the research. But i'm no way as close to the center as you are and only been playing a few days, so i'm a bit curious about that. Also keep up recording, previous episodes have been very helpful :)
In my empirical experience, if you put five of the same type in, you will get the same type out. I'm suspicious it follows the same probabilities of number of items for higher rarity. For example, put in 3 rares and you have a 60% chance of exceptional. Put in 3 plasma and 2 others, you get a 60% chance of plasma. There is a post on Reddit r/avorion about this, but my Google foo fails me :(
You sure about "not losing faction" if you pay the fine? You lose faction standing as soon as the dialogue pops up, generally just try to not get caught with them = fly as far as possible or avoid green blip systems until you get to the Turret Factory system.
Hi Jubis, I recall not being fined before. If you experienced different then perhaps I encountered a bug. There have been an enormous number of patches to the game in the past few months, and I always run on the beta branch.
12:47 mate, Destroyer has just opened dialogue with you about the illegal cargo and you've lost 5123 faction standing on the right hand side of the screen. At no point after that do I see you "regain" that 5123. So you got fined and you still lost standing. I'm not sure how long the "lose standing on dialogue" has been around for it's been there as long as I've been playing the game, I've been playing since February 7th.
Honestly I haven't figured it out beyond: f you get near a warship, it will sometimes (not always) fine you. It has to be a sector with some faction in it. So if you fly in uninhabited sectors you can make it work that way.
you can jump to another sector but if you pick say a far away place and jump drive takes to long, they will hostile you... if you wait to long with no answer, they will hostile you. I always agree to pay fine, and when they say wait right there, I fly far away then port into next sector...... if the items aren't worth more than a couple million , id just drop the cargo anyways or find a smugglers hideout and get rid of it. btw the goods can be just about anything from toxic waste to war heads....... that part I haven't figured out yet,, why some items are illegal, and others aren't.... but that's what I do when they target me..... usually around salvage yards the cruisers and what not will scan you.
If you go through your cargo (press P, the crate looking button) and mouse over the items they tell you whether or not they're ILLEGAL or DANGEROUS (also illegal). The wiki says the faction attributes affect at what range (maybe frequency they check too) that they'll scan you. I don't think the faction standing affects whether or not they scan you. The fine appears to be a percentage of your current CR.
No I don't think this is the way to go about it. I personally think one of two things should happen: 1- spawn the player at least the minimum scanning distance from a Frigate, Cruiser or other scanning ship. 2- have a cooldown timer (maybe 30, or 60 seconds) after entering a new sector so you don't just load in to a dialogue and a faction loss. Both give you the opportunity to play risky smuggler, the first one would probably require a bit more work so I like the second one more and I kind of already do that when I enter a green system and have illegal goods on board. Unless I get insta-dialogue =\
Very detailed. Well done. I believe in the forums there is a fix for the turret stat bug, and in the beta version: it's fixed
I don't think the turret factory thing is a bug. The high pressure tubes + fuel means faster rockets, not higher range.
You made a spreadsheet about this game....holy crap this is a new level.
I would do the same if I had played for almost a year like he has 😂
Well done. I enjoyed this video. Very informative, detailed, organized, and to the point. Subscribed.
Thanks bud!

right, i did stuff like that only on singleplayer. and it was fixed long time ago. but it was fun having a ship with 30 op railguns =3

TraumKiller so this applies to multiplayer too? I've mostly played single player and I have abused the logout/login "feature" of equipment docks a lot
Applies to both since even in singleplayer you're running a private local server in the background and connecting to it.
Please upload again! I would love to watch you play games:)
I subbed!
Research only goes off base stats of turrets. So yeah, to get those good turrets you have to build.

Look:
5 MT => 100% HT
3 MT => 60% HT + 40%MT, eq 2.6 MT => 0.6 HT
So, when you use by 5, 1 HT = 5 MT,
by 3: 1 HT = 4.(3) MT
no. if you want to actually upgrade the item always use 5 otherwise it will mostlikely not get better bu worse
3 items = 60% of getting better
4 items = 80% of getting better
5 items = 100% of getting better
That ship looks epic.
are you still playing? i'd love to see your input on the new updates. pleeease!
VERY nice tutorial! keep it up!
I ignore the "dangerous cargo" line. I don't carry it and its just to take my money(which is earned easy enough but hey it's MINE!).

Fit Pro You need to find a wormhole that will get you past that rift.
Check the wiki for the quests, there are 8 Xsotan artifacts you have to obtain to open a wormhole to the centre region. avorion.gamepedia.com/XSTN-K

if you put 5 weapons with auto aim in, the new one will get the same effect.
5x plasma + 0x chaingun = 100% plasma, 0% chaingun
4x plasma + 1x chaingun = 80% plasma, 20% chaingun
3x plasma + 2x chaingun = 60% plasma, 40% chaingun etc.
Same goes for Rarity, Material and Turret Traits (auto-aim etc.)
Each inserted item gives +20% chance for higher rarity:
3 common = 100% common, 60% chance to upgrade to uncommon
5 common = 100% common, 100% chance to upgrade to uncommon
complex example (you should never gamble this much):
1x uncommon + 3x rare = 25% uncommon, 75% rare, 80% chance to upgrade to next tier
= 5% uncommon, 35% rare, 60% exceptional
I have a 10000 omicron avorion ship with only 2 exotic ogonite double machine guns with a dps of 5480

when you get the cargo that can get your fines you can avoid them if you just not jump to sectors that have other factions in them, Right

Game needs a cargo moduel that stops your cargo from being scanned.

I thought the tech level affected the cost of replicating it at a turrets factory if you wanted to blueprint and dupe it.
Woody Allen is that you?
Thought it was Kripke from Tbbt
I have a ship with omicron of 975404
this is not true i got an iron with damage of 1500 by itself surpassing other high tier type weapon and higher type material.
vavity, vevewant
...so very smart of you.
