Like always I think these videos are top short. I love the sight of these fountainpens. They are stylish and yet simple it seems. I do hope I can write with one some day.
It is a great compliment, thank you a lot! I totally agree with you. If you have a look on our platforms you can see many of the former Atelier Venvstas Paris models made of brass and stainless steel that looks coming from a very old future, sort of sci-fi movie like Gattaca. The schreiber meister, the Parisienne, the Volcan... Crazy cool design to my taste... I hope we could develop them as well soon. Best
What a really cool pen. An elan design realising a harmony between form and function. Very bahausesque, I feel. Simple, clear, functional and beautiful.
Honored to reed this comment. Venvstas founder, Lucio Rossi, and I met at the Bauhaus nearly ten years ago as Master students. We understand very well your words and we thank you for that! Best regards
I like vintage , classical fountain pens, but more and more I'm looking for modern pieces. The Venvstas are what Lamy's look like after spending a couple years in Italy. Nice materials, original design and very modern.
Thank you a lot. In this case the reference is not a mere marketing idea. We are designers and we really believe the way our consumer society is taking it's just wrong. We envision a future where people would like to have much less but very high quality objects. Best!
So very Bauhaus! I love that this pen is so thoughtfully designed and not following convention. Might take a bit to learn how to write with it not having a traditional grippy area, but one can't help but want this.
Wow, you spotted two crucial points in one sentence. Me and Venvstas founder, Lucio Rossi, met at the Bauhaus campus in 2010. We were following a master at the Dessau Institute of Architecture (DIA). From there we became great friends and now we are pushing this company together... fingers crossed! The second point you spotted is the grip area. True it is different from any other, the ridge is missing. Probably someone will find it uncomfortable, but the same can be said for the clip. When pushing design limit, one can not compromise. We have tried adding a clip, but it just looks not fitting properly. Thank you a lot for your comment . Best regards
I greatly appreciate the sleek, elegant look of these pens. I also enjoy that they are different from other pens. So many pens come out in new materials but still have the basic form of most existing pens. A Venustas pen is definitely on my list to get some day.
Thank you very much! If you have a look at our instagram page you will see the previous designs... we hope we will be able to develop them as well. Best
I love how modern the design is of this pen!. I typically like flashy and colorful, but this pen is beautiful even without all the color! The filling system is intriguing too.
Hi Ashley, thank you a lot for your comment. We have a lot of projects in our minds and I hope we will be able to please your taste in terms of colors. We are now looking into composite materials to see if we could create some colorful collection, probably working with injection molding cause we have some interesting models to develop already. We could also have used colorful acrylic pipes instead of linear carbon fiber, but when you grip this material you can't stop touching it, and it looks awesome to us as well. Best regards
These pens look so edgy with their sleek and modern design. The filling mechanism looks quite interesting as well. I love the aesthetic of these pens, as well as that cool mechanical pencil!
Thank you so much, the pencil, as an architect, is probably my favorite. It's so light weight, but still balanced. Actually the pencil was the beginning of everything in a way... Venvstas founder, Lucio Rossi, couldn't find a pencil that would please his taste, therefore he bought a rotring, dismounted it and cover it with a stainless steel pipe, adding few details made by saw. While teaching at the Master class in Dessau the students felt in love for it and made the first "order"... Pretty funny isn't it? Best regards
@@venvstasitaly9452 what an interesting story! I believe the best products are those thought up by the ones who actually use them. Thank you for sharing this.
I liked Venvstas Magna Carbon Fountain pen more at first sight. As usual, I can talk about other features hands on only. If I win, I make a short review about it.
Hehe... well, thanks for the comparison. We can not even aim to became such a giant I guess, also because we follow different principles. Nevertheless we will keep on pushing to produce high quality products at the best possible price. All the best.

Thank's a lot for the comment. Yes, pushing design into this very niche world will not be easy, but I am confident we can find our clientele. Our will is to bring the fountain pen into everyone world, like a pair of sun glasses or a wrist watch... probably impossible, but we have to have dreams. Regarding the Lamy 2000 is actually made of mold injected polycarbonate. Very massive production and very low cost plastic material. Not bad at sight, but nothing transcending in therms of touch. Our will is to keep investigate new composites materials because of the texture and the aesthetic, generally avoiding cheap plastic as much as possible. We chose linear carbon fiber because of its unique and elegant look. It is a nightmare material to work with and inner tolerances are very high. But the look and the feel is everything. We also worked on the material finish to give you the best feeling possible. Best regards!
The Venustas Carbon pencil is the product I would would mostly use in this trio. The pens are also beautiful but I’d have to hold one before purchasing. Very unique!
Thank you very much! I totally understand what do you mean. Problem is that, to keep the prices as low as possible, we distribute our product our selves. The problem is that becomes very difficult to be trusted because most retailers are used to work in a consolidated distribution network. Therefore, for the time being, we will mostly be on the web. Too bad cause when one look and feel the texture of these instruments usually falls in love for it... Best regards
Crazy contemporary design. Being an architect I'm crazy also about the analogy with the Vitruvius. Just one question. If the piston goes outside the piston conver, the longer part, isn't it a risc of pushing the piston from out side. About the clips on the cap o consider it just a reason for the fountainpen not to roll over. Beautiful design ... also for the 2km pencil
Thank you so much for your comment. Me and Venvstas founder, Lucio Rossi, are actually architects as well, we met at the Bauhaus in Dessau for our master degree. We consider Vitruvius principles as pillars. There are others of course, you know better than me... Still, if every design process would be based on this concepts, for sure we would reduce intrinsic obsolescence, which is, on our point of view, one of the worse distortion of nowadays capitalism. About Magna piston, yes, if accidentally pushed, ink would come out from the nib. Caps are sealed, but still, one need to be careful. Cap do post, so, while writing, one can avoid this issue. Although one just need to know to be careful... Regarding the clip, we actually thought about it, but, for this collection, we wanted to push design straight forward, without any compromise. Again, one need to be a bit more careful... We wanted to create instruments to suite our own taste, knowing the risk of going against the traditional mindset and the common use. We saw a gap into this specific field and we wanted to leave our take on it. We hope people will like it as much as we do and we will try our best to develop always better writing instruments to suite different tastes. Best regards

This really is a unique and beautiful pen design. Love how sleek and light it looks. I'd be curious to see what it looks like when writing with it. It does look to be a longer size and may therefore be better suited to folks with larger hands.
Thank you a lot for your constructive comment. I do not know what to answer in terms of the length. I would say it can work easily with any type of hands because of the light weight, the quite thin diameter and the very balanced weight. Best
I've had two of the Carbon T. The first leaked ink and the second, which was sent as a replacement for the first, also leaked. What happens is when you fill the pen it is very difficult not to get some ink between the feed and the metal insides. That ink will then run down inside the section and come out where it joins the barrel. That can be messy. Now this occurred under the first owner who designed the pen. Perhaps some attempt has been made to correct it, but David's review shows the same problem with the Carbon T. I really like the look and feel of the pen but this problem is a non-starter for me, though I do occasionally consider giving it another try.
Thanks a lot. I shouldn't say that but, to me, is hard to feel a material more pleasant than this one when talking about writing instrument. In therms of material, the look and the feel are the points that found the major compliments. I am sorry that, so far, is very hard to find them into physical retailers, but we hope we will be able to expand soon. The thing is that, to keep the price as low as possible, we actually distribute our own designs. On one hand it is a great opportunity, on the other is a very tough challenge. Best regards
I commend this company for making minimalistic designs on their pens; unorthodox designs like these are always welcome. However, I would suggest that the piston on the power filler should be spring loaded to prevent accidental operation as well as facilitate ease of use.
I like the history bits, and carbon fiber is always intriguing as a material. Design wise, it looks like it could compete directly against Lamy, with the minimalistic Bauhaus design. That said, >100 eur. is a steep price for a steel-nibbed, entry-level pen of a new company, unless the writing is truly exceptional. I would certainly hold off until more information is available.
The only reason I don't buy the Magna is that open cap on the back. I will be fidgeting pressing that thinking its a button and just get ink everywhere... That drives me crazy, bad design for me... I love that pen design tho, hope they fix that
I do like the clean minimalist line. Looks metal like but the carbon would be so much lighter. Weight is what keeps me away from metal pens. I live the straight tubular look.
Hehe... sorry about the V, it actually make a lot of confusion, but it work well in the logo on our point of view. Vitruvio "De Architectura" is a treaty written 600 years ago, but the principles should still be part of nowadays architect knowledge. Principles are limits, we need to chose the best ones to achieve the best results and do not get lost during the design process. This might be the way to achieve the minimal design you refer to. Thank you for the nice comment! All the best
Very attractive looking, But it looks like it's sacrificing function for form. the exposed piston knob is an accident waiting to happen. It seems to me they wanted to shoot for a Lamy 2000 level of unique looks and all, but I have a feeling I would not find this very pleasant to work with. I'd have to test it in my hand before I'd order one.
Thank you for your comment. The exposed piston need to be taken into consideration, this is for sure. Since for many people might be an issue we are considering a cartridge version, but we are not quite sure yet. I am sorry but if you think we took inspiration from or we aimed to achieve a product like the Lamy 2000 we would need to have a chat on design principle, production method and materials... That product to me is nothing different from any other pen. I do not want to say is not nice, but it is just the usual... cheap plastic molding injected mounted of cheap metal worked with lathe and plated to hide the material. A lot of pollution for an archaic production method dated at the beginning of twenty century (except for the injection). I do not think there are many writing instruments like our, and I am sure there are none produced the way we do. Best regards
The section looks a bit impractical, I guess it will take some time to get used to. The design on the other hand, is quite unique, and I think that alone is worth the price for this pen. (@ramirols9010)
Cool design, nice material, and the pens are made by artisans that is appreciable. As an italian i don't really understand the choice of the brand name. The second "v" is supposed to be an "u"? If i have to search the name on the internet i have to write "venustas" or "venvstas" (venvstas is almost impossible to pronounce for us 😅)?? Anyway i like the pens, and the pencil is awesome!! Have a nice day.. @nello_pierangeli on IG

Hehe... sorry about the V, it actually make a lot of confusion, but it work well in the logo on our point of view.
Striking
Minimal Design, anyway it need to be testen first!🤗
Very true! We will be happy to have a feed back. Best
It’s the first time I hear about this brand. I find the carbon fiber material a very attractive Feature of this pen... The filling mechanism intriguing is as well... (@El_joven_caballero on Instagram)
Thanks a lot. Yes well, Atelier Venvstas Paris was a small reality founded from my actual partner and good friend, Lucio Rossi, in 2015. We hope we will be able to develop his original designs and to create many others. We couldn't choose a harder moment to start up, but we will see what the future will bring. Best
Looks very futuristic! (IG mrwetnoodle)
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate this definition. All the best
Very minimalistic and sophisticated (IG: bujo_of_a_working_mom)
I am not supposed to say that... but I guess sophisticated is a pretty apointed definition eheh... Thank you a lot! Best regards
With no sign of ink and no writing, I am inclined to think all fur coat and no knickers.
What an interesting pen! I've never heard of the brand before, but would love to try it out 😊 (ebyn.oel on Instagram)
Thank you so much!
"tested" 🙈
