I love the Simon's Cat videos! I play them for my grandsons, who beg to watch them over and over. Being a cat owner, I can relate to the truth of these videos too!
I’ve been a fan of Simon’s cat for about a decade now, started watching them when my mom showed me the “TV Dinner” short when I was 6. Always loved these animations and I occasionally come back to binge them.
On one of those binges right now, I just want to say that I’ve always loved the detail after the cat scares Simon and is told to get down, it sounds like he’s saying “I need a little help” in his little cat voice. One of my favorite things about this short :]

No, it is a perfectly good way to discipline cats. Most of them hate water. Your harsh words, "Stop!" do not work with cats. I love cats, but you have to have a way to teach them who is boss. The spray bottle does it, yet in a gentle way.
Or you could just tell them when they do wrong as that's what i did,and it worked....
Vacent Pulse Maybe that works on YOUR cat(s) but that doesn't work on MOST cats. Spraying water on a cat isn't cruel so long as you aren't doing it for no reason. Would you rather someone hit the cat? Of course not. Water doesn't hurt them, ya know..
You really don't need water, you simply tell them off,spraying them with water isnt going to make them feel good is it.
I like how you sometimes have off-screen sounds implying action off screen, like the bauble off-screen in this case. That's good attention to detail.

I think my cat may be the only one that has never tried to climb the christmas tree. He loves sleeping under it, especially with the lights turned on, but he never climbed it.
My cat used to climb up the tree... And get scared and stuck halfway up, yeah he never really left the tree without half the family helping him out

That happened to us the first year we were in our house. My old cat Birdie, who was 13 at the time, decided to climb up the brand new tree, knock it over and smash a lot of the antique glass ornaments on it. My husband wasn't impressed.

My cat climbed the tree once, of course the tree just fell over and the she shot out of the room. scared her for life I think because she never has tried climbing it again.

And this is why we don't put glass ornaments on our Christmas trees, lol! I'll have to figure out a way to anchor it to the wall too, so the cats don't knock it over. LOVE Simon's Catt... so true!

Same here, but one year one of my fat cats tried climbing in the tree and knocked it over. Now we have a 1 year old in the house and he's probably gonna be helping the cats this year!

Tinsel can be very dangerous for cats if swallowed. I switched to garland that is shiny like tinsel. Ditch the tinsel and have a safe and happy Christmas.
Thats why we dont put up christmas tree anymore.

Chris Shocka Most cats will instinctively use a litter box with no effort on your part. It takes TWO YEARS to get a kid to use the toilet. Also, cats don't watch Blues Clues.

That's the most words Simon has said in any episode!!
This so reminds me of all three of my cats, Mufasa, Sarabi, and Simba (yes, I know Lion King themed, was a big fan growing up). They all broke there share of glass balls. So much so that I'd have to sleep on the couch downstairs with a spray bottle so they wouldn't mess with the tree.
Simon's Cat always reminds me of Christmas, and I always watch the episodes when Christmas is getting closer, a really positive feeling :D
