Since I feel like you said quite often that you don't really know what kind of content to make at the moment, I just have to point out that I thought this was a really nice video concept! I really enjoyed watching it, same for the 'bake it till you fake it' video from last week, really enjoyed both.
Thank you. I literally thought of this idea Wednesday night, filmed Thursday and Friday morning and edited Friday night for a Sunday upload. It’s pretty different to how I use to work and all feels a bit thrown together. And every week I think, oh I won’t have a video this week. Just trying to go with the flow 😂 So I’m really glad you guys liked it! x
I don’t often comment on videos but I just wanted to say I’m loving your content lately. IMO you’ve hit the perfect sweet spot when it comes to sharing baby-related content but not turning your channel into a baby/family channel. I don’t have kids quite yet (hopefully in a year or two!) but I’m finding these videos so interesting and it’s a glimpse of what I can anticipate, as I’m someone who wants to try and keep her identity and independence and cling on to some semblance of being a working woman, and not just becoming a ‘full time mummy’, and there’s not a lot of content like that on RUclips for me to draw hope and inspiration from. Hope that all makes sense?! I’m certain I’m not the only subscriber of yours who feels this way, so please keep it up! :)
Great idea for a video! A whole day comparison would be so interesting. I would also love to see a “dad” day for rich 😂 You are a wonderful mum Lily and Grey is ADORABLE oh my goodness.
Lily this was such a great video idea! Really enjoyed it although I'm still super far away from having a baby. Also Grey is so gorgeous! What a beautiful family, wish you all the best
Even though I don’t have children, I do love seeing these videos. Have you thought of hiring an assistant to help you for a couple months while you juggle the first few months of motherhood and full time work?
Anchana Kandiah I’ve tried in the past and it hasn’t really worked. So much of what I do has to be done by me for it to work. It’s a tricky one. I would love some help but especially now I work part time it’s hard to find the right person and to figure out what they’d do and where they’d work etc. It’s a work in progress! x
@@lilypebbles Ah in the creative world, I guess it is a bit harder to delegate. Nonetheless, look after yourself and your family. We won't be annoyed if you need a break/miss a week or two x
You seem to have found a nice balance of showing just enough of your precious little girl and your home and work life as well. You look amazing by the way 💕
Your content is a breath of fresh air - very enjoyable at the moment Lily 😊 great to see relatable and real life stuff. I have been binge watching your latest stuff and it’s great to see you balancing your new life and not being afraid to say when you’re struggling. But you still appear to be absolutely bossing it 👌🏻
This is a really wonderful video, Lily! I love seeing Grey and you as a mum, but honestly, what is very refreshing about your content lately is that you also still focus on work and the transition back into it as a new mum! That seems to me like a really hard thing to do, so it's great of you to share with us.
I love how you and Rich separate and organize your time with Grey. It seems so ideal. I wish I could have something like that planned between my husband and myself but since he works 8-5 everyday, I can't seem to find a schedule that could work for both of us. So it's pretty much just me all the time.
How beautiful family you are! You and Rich seems so happy! Recently I had a coversetion with a friend and I told him that I'm not in the "baby" mood at all! I'm 27 and I feel that I'm so far from this! But I enjoy that video so much! I'm watching you many years(from the start i think) and I'm really happy for you!
If the time comes you'll know. Don't worry and don't compare your journey to others'. I didn't want kids for years, I was 9years with my husband, 3years married, when finally I felt the time had came. But it doesn't have to.
Hi Lily! I would love to hear you chat about how mum life has been compared to your expectation before she was born. I feel like so many women, myself included, have an idea of what being a mother will be like and no real clue how my expectation will compare to reality, so I love hearing first time mothers talk about their own experiences.
For someone who is not a mom (and is not planning on having kids in general *gasp* controversial) I love your mommy concepts. This was really creative and interesting and I admire you Lily
Oh she's so precious Lily! I really enjoyed this, because even though I don't have kids of my own, I love hearing about how people juggle work and parent stuff.
I’m so happy for this video, you can’t believe it, I made myself cup of coffee and cookies and sit my comfy sofa and enjoyed the 14minuets of my favorite youtuber 😍 it finished so fast 😅
She is so lovely! And your routines are very relatable. I have two kids and still remember the rushed getting ready while they were napping - and the times when you had to run around with a face half done because they woke up in a bad mood and you weren’t finished yet.
Enjoyed watching this! My baby days are long gone but this video brought back so many memories of being a baby mom and working mom! Thanks for sharing and I love hearing Grey’s baby talk!! 😊
I am loving the mummy content as a first time mummy of a 13 week old and it is always fascinating to watch people’s morning routines. You’re doing amazing, Lily. I love your RUclips video and Instagram stories. I always find them great to watch. ❤️ PS. Grey is absolutely gorgeous!
Great video! I am loving the baby content as I have an 8 week old and I love getting ideas from your channel or instagram on play things and on how you got grey to sleep so well!! Also loving the mix with the makeup content as up until 8 weeks ago that was the main content I was watching...so it’s nice to be able to combine the two as a new Mum who doesn’t completely want to lose her identity :)
I love morning routine videos and this has to be one of my favourites. I’m a part time working mum and my mornings on working days and mum days are so different. It’s cool seeing how another mum is doing it xx
I really loved this! I go back to work from maternity leave in January, and I’m already panicking about fitting in getting myself and the baby ready at the same time plus walking the dog!
Such a great video! You seem so much at ease when you’re doing the mommy day. I’m sure you are still trying to figure out your work routine. Sweet baby and it’s good to see you happy Lily!
I love this!! I love seeing both points of view. My husband and I also both work and split the time with our girls between caring & working so this was really relatable for me! I hope you are able to do more videos like this and maybe even some from Rich’s perspective if he’s up for it!
Was thinking of your 'boring hour', why not use that time to do mealplanning and online food shopping? You can still chat to Grey while doing that and you'll never have an empty fridge. ;)
At your stage of motherhood I literally had a 7min shower, slathered on some moisturizer, put baby in the carrier, leave, and put on some lipgloss while waiting for the bus. You mantain yourself much more elaborately. Good for you.
I was the opposite. Whilst she was static I had the time to do my make up and hair... Now she's walking and a toddler it's a whole different story! My showers are always 2 mins though... Even before I became a mum!
@@KM-rs5dq 7 mins includes washing hair lol. I know, mine is two in faw weeks, and my only chance for a good clean is waking up at 5, or waiting for naptime.
I love that you still make sure you do your makeup on mum days. I do as well because I still want to feel like me. I like to stick to my night skin care routine as well.
Aww this is super cute!! Lily can you please do a what's in my nappy bag video please? I am due my first baby in 7 weeks and I'm so confused about what to pack in a nappy bag! Just day to day! Xx
Hello Lily! I want to echo a few of the other comments as well. You're really nailing that balance between non-mommy and mommy content. Of course it is a part of your identity, your a mom after all. But it's nice to see you're not only a mom. As someone not interested in having kids, I thought this was another channel I was going to lose interest in (a la itsjudyslife) but so far that's not the case. Looking forward to your next video!
Love your videos so much. Really helps with what to expect for the future. Me and my partner are hoping to start a family within the next few years so these videos help so much with what to expect and how to keep a work and home life balance! Have to say also the last frame of this video of you and Grey - unbelievably gorgeous!! Xx
I don’t really comment on videos but I really enjoyed this video because it was real and everyone can relate to it. I am really enjoying your content as always lily.
It's interesting to see what parts of the routine become prioritized when you have different things to do. Also always nice to see mamas doing little things for themselves, so deserved! :)
This takes me back... my daughter was exactly the same on the nap front at that age. I found it really difficult around 6 months as I couldn’t get anything done as she was at the age where you couldn’t really just leave her to play alone but she wasn’t sleeping long enough to start and finish anything. Everyone assured me it would change and I didn’t believe them at all because she was like clockwork, but she’s now 15 months and naps for 3 hrs a day 👍🏻
Hello! Just a thought, why don't you spend time at the end of your work day to write a to do list for the next one? That way you can simply read it over and make any additions whilst you have your breakfast! :)
How funny, my daughter is a few weeks older than Grey and was wearing the same little knitted outfit as I was watching this...good taste in baby clothes 😉
Super cute video and I love watching how honest you are in your videos!!! And Grey is just adorable!!! Would love to see a bit more of “opinion/advices videos”, I really enjoy watching them and than mixing them around in to my world !
Coffee rather than tea first thing usually helps wake you up... I put the news on too... I know this is pretty simple and a bit boring but it makes me feel like a proper adult lol Don't feel pressure to play or amuse her, it's presence that's important - if she knows you're there she'll be happy (on the whole) xxx
So awesome to see you with Grey! Not going to lie, but so jealous that she sleep on her own so early. Our son only did it after sleep training at 6 months. Before then he only slept on me.

I always thought keeping my babies busy until their first nap was the hardest too. And to be honest I didn't like that period of my mum life that much. But now I watched your video, I realised that I really miss it.
I loved watching this video, thank you. I’m a new mum too, little one is almost three weeks and just wondering when you managed to get settled into this kind of routine? X
she started wanting a loose routine from 4 weeks (being put to sleep in a dark room, swaddled with white noise) and it just progressed from there. But we've always been flexible and reminded ourselves that she's not a robot so it doesn't matter if some days things are totally different to the day before x
