In order for Baltimore system they run to work you need bigger WRs. That's why they drafted Bateman last year. I hope Hollywood thrives with Kyler and I hope the Ravens find another WR.

    • @sampate8999
      @sampate8999 2 года назад +7

I don't think you need big receivers in their ideal system. They want to run 1st and use play action off of that. That's why they say the O-Line is such a priority. Then they want fast receivers to take the top off. They hardly ever used Boykin or Watkins and they were the biggest receivers on the team. O-line health was the issue imo

@@sampate8999 and i hate that because people keep saying Lj8 is a run 1st qb when he isnt. Now can he run if he has to? Yes. But in college Lj8 ran a spread offense meaning as the QB lj8 was looking down field and putting it there and if there was nothing and they play broke down and no wr got open he took it where and when he needed. They say this offense is tailored to lj8. No its tailored to Greg Roman prehistoric schemes and thats sad. He is really running the same plays with lj8 that he ran with kap. Greg really needs to go. They are taking years off of one of the best QBs ever by asking him to do so much

Hollywood was unable to run a slant across the middle, contest 50/50 balls, or make meaningful blocks. Everything else he can do on a high level, but that's not the Raven way. He was gonna go eventually.

I blame Greg Roman 😑 there’s no excuse for not using all the talent he had. The offense has been the same 5 yard dink and dunk since Lamar took over. It’s time to switch it up. We had the speed to stretch the field and he didn’t use it so I get it but Hollywood should blow up out there. Happy for him

All I’m saying is I understand why he would be frustrated and I feel like the OC deserves a lot of the blame. I feel like Lamar can make some of the throws other QBs make (now) but he’s not given the opportunity. I think the passing game isn’t aggressive enough and that’s not Hollywood’s fault

Shoutout to Ingraven…..so we need to have a talk about Lamar Jackson’s actions….first off the “WTF” tweet is giving off vibes of lacking leadership and constraint/discernment….reminds me of how he acted when he threw his first interception in the 2019 playoff game where he went over to the sideline and acted like a kid who wasn’t getting their way instead of rallying the troops. I just think we need to see some more masculine energy from our QB….
2nd - his decisions of hanging around Kodak Black while the homies are smoking blunts…while he is in a contract year and it is a make or break year this is a little worrisome. I am sure he gets a pass from a lot of people because of his culture but I think it is safe to say a lot of the greats choose better acquaintances and environments to spend their free time in. I am aware they have known each other for a while but am I wrong to be concerned as a Ravens fan with hopes that they will perform as good as possible? What’s everyone think about that? Hollywood did misspeak when he said he never complained…remember his tweet about saying, “why have soldiers if you aren’t gonna use them?” Lol….then ended up dropping a good handful of passes for example against the Browns in that crazy 2020 game and Detroit this past year, some of them easy deep ball and touch down catches. Someone who is so openly afraid of contact and not great with YAC (not including deep balls behind the defense) doesn’t have the privilege/luxury of being forgiven for drops the way other receivers who are straight dogs out there might….
That said I think it is good for both parties involved and wish him as well as the Ravens prosperity as they move forward!!!! Hope to see him at the top like he said!

Marquees "Hollywood" Brown wanted to be traded, he notified the Baltimore Ravens management after last season ended that he wanted to be traded to the Arizona Cardinals and the Ravens management honored his request.
He also told Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson about him wanting to be traded months before the trade actually happened on the first day of the NFL Draft.
Despite the surprise objections and social media reactions by Jackson, he already knew months earlier what Hollywood Brown wanted before it actually happened.
Everyone in the Ravens organization who really needed to know, were notified by Hollywood Brown.
The way professional business is supposed to be done.
No blind siding, no controversy, no drama.
When the Arizona Cardinals play the Baltimore Ravens at The Bank, Ravens fans should not boo Hollywood Brown but instead, clap/cheer for him and say thanks for everything you did for us as a Baltimore Raven.

I like Hollywood Brown…but him saying he wasn’t getting the ball as he should is Not the whole story… last year he got 140 targets caught 90 passes…. I wanna say he dropped 4-5 touchdowns and he dropped a lot of other passes that weren’t TDs. Hollywood brown is a great deep threat but lacks strength to hold on to the ball in contested situations. I like Hollywood but those comments ain’t the whole story… what would his stat line look like without the drops?!?!?!?!?

    • @shahkel5560

All targets aren't equal. He got most of those close to the line of scrimmage which plays to his weakness and a lot of them were off target and overthrown. The drops are a concern but most of them are concentrated in one or two games. Either way as a Ravens fan I love him and want him, but he's in a better offense for what he brings to the table now and that's hardly debatable. Also we got great value for him
