im the big bad guy when i say parts are junk. then dustin goes and proves me right. we exclusively run IDX. every other youtuber sells their asses to these companies giving things for free. dustin is learning quality parts might cost more but nothing costs more than dragging all your stuff to a track day and not being able to run because some chach built a part that is sub par. keep refining this car itll be a monster in no time. still going to see the pleasure evo tail lights though

I think it may be the aftermarket coils. Unless theyre genuine Hitachi, or some kind of high end aftermarket equivalent (HKS?) a lot of guys have issues with non genuine "R35 COILS". although, as split O ring can cause misfire too.

I work in aviation at a place that overhauls fuel components. We use petroleum jelly religiously on all of our o-rings/packings/seals. For o-rings installed for air components and some oil components try using a light coating of Crisco instead of installing them dry. 😉

Dustin if your trans is dodgey I suggest fix'n sooner than later. This morn Bout 730 central time .5 miles from my house my GTR 5 speed trans locked up. I was going 35mph got sideways into oncoming traffic. Luckily passengers and vehicles were safe. My 4th gear synchro has been acting up along with the thrust bearings whine. You don't want failure going highway speeds.
O ring on the injectors would pull air around the injectors leaning out that hole and making the ECU hit a safety or a condition where it has to compensate and it want to go lean rich lean rich trying to compensate so the injectors were likely not bad but the o ring cause all your problems and more

The cover that is missing from the steering rack is the dust cover .the only thing it does its not letting dust getting in the steering rack .the seal that its broken its the seal inside the rack
Yo Dustin throw in some Redline Shock proof mt90 transmission fluid it’ll help with the synchro grind for now. I’ve done that to so many Rb transmissions and have to say it truly works.

I have the Nismo rear extended studs (GK Tech fronts), and it was worth it for me. The stock ones I had like 3-5 threads of contact on the lugs. Dunno if you've already got it, but resistor delete for the new injectors (low impedance) should be done. Wiring Specialties makes a little easy kit. Bigger injectors will need a new tune I think for duty cycle too? And man, that thing sounds so good!
You should put a short shift kit, when you test driven the track car, it took a while before the engine could put more torque in your driving. Speed means shorter track time speed.
I just installed a set of ID1050X injectors on my ek hatch. Car has been down for about a year and a half now. In that time I’ve replaced just about everything on my B series. Hope she’s a ripper when I go for the first start in a few months.
I was thinking the same thing, probably worth pulling a log off it and having the tuner double check. Things like inj dwell times and stuff vary between injectors and so on. It does sound a lot cleaner with the new injectors though so on the right path. Good luck at Mid West Fest.

Dustin what pump are you using? If its still a hicas pump for a 32 you may still have issues. The Hicas pumps are very complex in the 32. If you were to upgrade to an 33 or 34 pump (GTR or not) you'll have a lot less headache

ARP studs ftw! ARP is the GOAT of automotive hardware.
Blue locktite those fuel line threads at the rail. Never want those coming loose in track use.

Got a motor built last week and already goin into it after the first practice session..
The cover that is missing from the steering rack is the dust cover .the only thing it does its not letting dust getting in the steering rack .the seal that its broken its the seal inside the rack
But the dust cover prevents dust/dirt from caking up around the seals, which is what kills the seal.
We need a Tim GTR build guy does a lot would be cool to see a team legend both out on the track

Try double clutching for 4th gear should help with the grinding but I’m sure it’s difficult to do it on the track

Recommend redline heat shockproof for the 4th gear grind. Had the same issue
The long hub studs were somewhat worth, added about an 1/8th of an inch
