    I can’t tell you how many training videos I have watched in which the expectation of the horse far exceeds the reality- this desire to have a 2 year old horse fully trained and consistently riding makes my blood boil. And I do believe there is appropriate application of Liberty training- applying this type of training to a wild untrained Mustang or an unhandled horse of any sort is not a good idea. The best training I have seen so far is Herm Gaily- a well balanced approach that respects the internal life of the horse ❤

    You are absolutely correct.
    It takes time , effort , consistency , love , leadership and knowing that Everything you do with your horse is building skill and partnership !

    Time and consistency. Timing and reward for us and our horses. I enjoy nothing more than riding one of my horses that I have worked with and trust. Knowing I put hrs and dedication into. And now those horses are being used by my children. I enjoy ALL disciplines and breeds of horses. Just the other day I was moving cows with a Walker. He is quick and smooth.

      My fox trot is a better cow horse then many of the quarters I’ve had!

      Smooth starts to mean more the older I get lol. We have QH, draft/standardbred, a few Pasos.
      Those Pasos are bang up sorters, quick and they never get tired lol. We even have one we rope off for small stuff. They can't beat a quarter horse on speed, but they keep on trucking all day.

      Agree with the only relationship and the consent based ideas cannot be the basis for getting far with horses. The gain purpose and relationship through doing skills even if it starts with leading and groundwork.

      Real professionals should want their students continuing to choose to ride with them because they know there’s so much more to learn, not cause they feel trapped or stuck without them.

    The ARMY WOULDN'T even TOUCH a horse TILL it WAS SIX years old.....
    The idea of a well trained
    well rounded,bombproof two/three year old horse is a fallicy.......IF YOH WANT a well trained,well rounded, and calm horse......
    I HAVE TWO WORD FOR YOU
    those are......
    WET
    SADDLE BLANKETS.

    • @neeleywilson403
      @neeleywilson403 Месяц назад +1

      Disagree it think time spent carefully and consistently over sweetly horses teaches them more than getting them tired which is what wet saddle blankets really ment back in the day when it was said. A tired horse was more compliant was all
