It's so funny to read comments about who is a better violinist, Perlman or Vengerov, Wake up people!!!!! They are both amazing.. Is just that they have diferent styles.. That doesnt means one is better than the otee
Guys, rather than fight over who plays best, shall we just allow Vengerov his own performance. His tone is sharp, but then again, so is the tone of the piece. There are many ways to play such a piece, and Vengerov plays it in a way that does justice to the music, as well as Perlman. And yes, he is one of the best violinist in the world!
I do agree with you. Perlman & Vengerov are both great. Why should we have to always compare? Each is great in his way. Please people, have a bit respect!
Why do we have to choose between Vengerov and Perlman if we have both? Music isn't a competition. It's ART! We have to apreciate it even we don't like some of those performers or even we have favorite musicians!!
vengerov is a beast....neverthe less this guys is not only a virtuoso but hes a performer. not only can u hear how wonderfull he plays but he puts his personality on display...the guy rocks the total package. rather see vengerov than perlman anyday. and BTW im american
what ive actually noticed is that if you listen and at the same time watches his body language you can uderstand more clearly what he wants to express and how he exactly wants to interpetate the music :D !! and i have to say i really felt this interpetation ^^. realy enjoyd his playing. at some points was a pitty the pianist didnt have perfect timing, but i know that is very hard if you work togehter.. because every musican feels it little bit different :)
Although the performance was great, i could not help but notice that Maxim Vengerov frowned at about 1:23-1:25 then in the seconds after, he took a deep breath as continued playing. After analyzing the that moment, I saw that he was glaring for a few seconds, as though he made a mistake. But that could just be intense concentration.
You can't compare virtuosos by anything but style--how they deliver/intepret the piece. People like Perlman and Vengerov get all the music perfect the way they want it, but it's how you, the audience, want the music to be, that causes you to prefer Perlman/Vengerov! Different intepretations, you might like Perlman's better, but I don't think you can explain to us what Vengerov did wrong to be not as good as Perlman? It's personal preference! =)
Just comment on how awesome the music is rather than creating conflicts by arguing who's better. :/ All virtuoso violinists have unique sounds to support their styles of music.
He can afford to be smug. I'd be more than smug if I could play like that! I actually prefer the version with the violins. It's the video that used to be shown on Classic FM TV. Brilliant anyway. Thanks for posting.
Maxim and Perlman they both are virtuosos but just on closing my eyes with both of them playing Perlman anyday way more feeling in the way he plays maxim looks like a creepy robot no feeling in his playing Perlman plays and makes playing the violin look soo fun and entertaining and I love that Perlman has big hands like me makes me feel better learning how to play the violin
This piece would've been a challenge even for Paganini. I haven't heard a flawless version of it yet even though Heifetz's and Vengerov's versions come close.
@@srinitaaigaura I did. That performance has tempo consistency issues throughout and intonation issues at the end. Bazzini, like Paganini, would've been a prime attack target of the Church for this devilishly difficult piece.
I wouldn't reply to this, but it was just funny how you two were arguing, we can't compare Perlman and Vengerov, they both have their own styles, their own arguments, their own methods of work, artists can't be really compared, all of us have different opinions.
Look, i agree he's a boss in violin playing, i don't understand why you all have to be so mad about someone saying he's arrogant... Can't he be a boss and be arrogant as well ? I only discussed about the influence of arrogance in music interpretation. And this not means i'm right, this is only my opinion and i dont think i'm the master of the truth ! I just wanned to discuss, but you just want to attack me, not discuss... This is called fanaticism ...
I didn't say he's not good, for god's sake, it's Vengerov !!! All the greats (Heifetz, Milstein, Menhuin, Vengerov...) masterized the violin, but the differences lies in the details. And the more significant to me is that some of them think they're greater than the music itself (Heifetz, Vengerov), and it doesn't help (in my opinion) in the interpretation ...
I dunno, I agree with the previous guy. I mean, don't get me wrong, Vengerov's live recording here is amazing, neither I nor anyone I know could ever come close. But If you compare it to a recording by Perlman, I'm inclined to feel that his is better.
I have to be honest; I really do not enjoy Vengerov's interpretations in most pieces he performs. He's talented but I don't see the appeal in his style at all. Thank you for uploading though, even though audio is not synced =/
Vengerov looks like he’s having so much fun with this piece 😂
He's always lake that😁
Vengerov's look when the pianist cut him off early at 1:18 is golden
Adrian Gorszewski
But is the same note, isn’t it?
he played the note four times in each string
Isaac, yes, the look is golden and funny. But not the pianist cut him off but the editor of the show!

You are so right.
WseSlsSS
Vengerovs sound is a bit more rigid and dense. For this song, I prefer Perlman's version
Perlman is better! Period. Young Vengerov > Old Vengerov. After he lost his violin and hurt his arm in 2007 he kinda lost it :(
@@jayceh meetoo
I heard this live, Maxim Vengerov was in Novosibirsk about 15 years ago, I was lucky!!!
Don’t think I’ve ever heard left hand pizz that fast! Great performance
His facial expressions provide ample entertainment in and of itself.
He doesn't do any of that anymore. Since the injury, Vengerov now plays much more naturally.
Výborná,technicky precízna majstrovská hra!Výrazy tváre komedianstva ešte viac osviežili nádhernú skladbu,veľmi sa mi páči.Vďaka Anika.

No one catches fire like Vengerov. Yet he is pretty cool.
looks like he's having fun lol
Definitely!!!
I do agree with you. Perlman & Vengerov are both great.

you right
Блестяще! Браво Максим!
So effortless.... Incredible!
*****Skvělé, hravé Mistrovství...díky požitek !
Fantastic!!!!
Absolument merveilleux...
It is a joy to listen and to watch. I like his left hand pizz.
This is at the height of Vengerov's violin wizardry and artistry.
I just love the pizzicato at the end! XD He really has the "dancing" down
Absolutely Amazing vioinist, even more incredible expressions... XD XD
Virtuoso! No less no more!
amazing!greatest!the best
Genius!!!
Absolute Genius!
He is quite an entertainer!
Note that he does the final pizzicato flourish with the violin already off his shoulder and partly held down... A master signs off...
Esplêndido! Agora eu penso ,essas pessoas q da deslike , inveja pura!!!
Incredible!
His face is almost as fun to watch as Yo Yo Ma's is
He's playing it like he stole the violin and he's trying to get away with playing as much as possible before he gets caught
Watch his recording of dance of the sabers....
This is the usual tempo for this piece.
un increible intérprete y gran maestro además :)
And, I'm inclined to say, that Perlman is also one of the best vioinists the world has seen to date.
this guy needs more views
Why do we have to choose between Vengerov and Perlman if we have both?
Music isn't a competition. It's ART!
We have to apreciate it even we don't like some of those performers or even we have favorite musicians!!
Beautiful violin
"Perlman is better"..."Heifetz is better".... I dont understand, why dont you just enjoy the music instead of comparing and look for mistakes?
Who the hell could give this a thumbs down??
smug no! he has a magnificent personality
he's not arrogant. he's amazing.
Bravissimo!
LOVELY!!!!!!!!
Impresionante.. El mejor de los mejores
top fada le gars! j'adore!
Mind blowing
Go Maxim Vengerov
Best ever ❤
Very well!!!!!!!!!

Fantastisch
He completely skipped a part at 1:00! And 1:13! Or maybe video editing. Either way great performance.
ur talkin nonsense
Caleb Hu bruh you’re dumb
Caleb, you are right - edited by the german TV
todo un prodigio
4:10 don't you love how she is like, damn i soo want some of that.

Yoav Koppa he got cut off by the pianist 😂

Sometimes people have poor judgments.
In this case, as I have mentioned earlier, both are great and perfect!!
Well done

Ingo Dannhorn is behindhand permanently))

Try Perlman's version. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
@@6891418 I thought my post implied that I'd heard that piece played by all the heavy hitters.
Try Heifetz teenage version from the acoustic recordings. That shouldn't be possible.
@@srinitaaigaura I did. That performance has tempo consistency issues throughout and intonation issues at the end. Bazzini, like Paganini, would've been a prime attack target of the Church for this devilishly difficult piece.

he, just is excellent!,... what else... without comparison...

this guy is pretty good. all-state player?
You mean county champ?
haha I so agree with you Grumbel Bumbel.. lol

I CAN DO THAT
HOLD MY BEER PLEASE
met them? on the internet?
@bramVE239 briliant
Am I the only one who thinks that Maxim's movements are terrifying? He jerks around like a creepy string puppet i see from my nightmares.
@farzadvengerov uh yeah, Perlman
Lol not mad... but definitely enjoys his music a little too much. Not that that's a bad thing...
how do you know he was serious? It is just words in writing. Truth is, you don't know.
Delay or palyback?
It must listen with close eyes definitely…otherwise I expect a “cheburek” coming.. anyway, perfect technique!
Of course, David Garrett's crap is being watched more than that masterpiece.
Oh come on people ... Look at 1:28, he's almost saying: "so boring" !
yeeeee
It's Chelyabinsk's Man!!!
Is it me or is the video overdubbed with something else??????
4:03 he doesnt play that part but the violin sounds.....playback????
Perlman plays this also very
what does that have to do with being American?
